  • About me
i was reading pulse the other night, and there was this news that tulle skirt is in right now, thanks to those fashion bloggers! they used it creatively, and some were not so girly-pretty style. you could dress them edgy too! but i'm not talking about tulle skirt right now. somehow, i didn't like tulle skirt. it looked dreamy and too princess-thing for me. since i was a little kid, i didn't like tulle. it made me feel itchy. that's why when i was asked to be flower girl, my mom always ripped the tulle layer off my skirt. some people protested it, since my skirt wasn't as fluffy as with tulle, but if they really wanted me as their flower girl, they had to accept it, otherwise, i'll scratch my thigh the whole event! and that's not a pretty sightings.

back to skirt. i was browsing asos the other day, and i fell in love with couple of their skirt. somehow i was attracted to midi flare skirt these days. but the length was too long for me. i was not that tall, so i prefer a knee-length skirt. more than that, it'll make me shorter. but i do have one maxi skirt, and it was okay, since it was a dress, so i wasn't looked like i was gulped by the maxi skirt. about the color, i was attracted to peach and mint. probably reading js too much influenced my color preferences too... hahaha..

and floral skirt! what can i say? i didn't have the courage to rock the other print just yet, so floral was a safe choice. it's always bright and sunny here, so floral skirt was suitable all year round, no need to wait for spring time. i had one in pink pencil skirt, but it was a bit short. i wanted to buy more, but i had to spend my money wisely. so i guess i'll just keep searching and taking notes before deciding in buying.

okay, i admit now i'm addicted in checking lookbooks. but it was a quick way to get some inspirations.

1. i love the stripes dress. though i wanted the stripes skirt instead. i have been collecting several inspirations from jseverydayfashion.com. but i haven't found one yet here in indonesia. so i just kept looking either for the dress or skirt.
2. red blazer. i wanted to buy color blazer, but i still couldn't decide which color to buy. i'm either white or red blazer.
3. white blazer. well, i've already told you the reason above. and i loved how they paired the white blazer with yellow top. sunny and bright.. great way to start the day.
4. i loved the cardigan. though i didn't sure i could find one like that here. and it could be outer of neutral shade dress. perfect for work!

and i just downloaded the BFF apps from ann taylor's. and there were news about LOFT new collections. here are some that i like.

1. i love the eyelet pencil skirt! it gave a little twist to a pretty simple white pencil skirt. you could wear it for work or play.
2. flower pencil skirt. in muted color. i had one, but in pink. and it was soooo spring. this one was pretty neutral for work.
3. printed pants. i wanted to buy printed pants, but i couldn't decide which one.. the check one.. or..
4. floral pants. this one was in black. i once found a black floral pants from uniqlo, but the color that i wanted was sold when my husband went to their stores. and i couldn't find the substitute until now. hopefully i could find one.. SOON..

what's your favorite?
lately, i've been collecting several inspirations from various brands that i love, and i would probably buy them. unfortunately, some of the brands were not available here in indonesia, so i had to ask my sister to buy them sometimes. i didn't have the courage to buy online just yet. i didn't remember my body measurement, and that's why i didn't buy online. okay, so the brands that i checked out frequently was zara, mango, asos, forever 21 and h&m.

1. i love the pleated skirt. it was relaxing. i could imagine wearing it on my lazy morning, or glam it a bit for a date night. unfortunately, the one that i found here made my hips looked bigger. and some of the fabric was too sheer.

2. i love the color pairing. before, i never paired brown with blue. but looking at it, it was pretty nice combination. so i guess i'll try it sometimes.

3. i love the dress model and the color. i always wanted to have a peach dress, and my last attempt to get one was not a good ending. so, no peach dress for me just yet. and i love the embellishment on the neck collar.

4. it was a decent dress with 3/4 sleeves. pretty simple but the embroidery on the chest made it look different. i could wear it to church or morning weddings. or just dropping my son at school.

next were several collections which was suitable for office wear. just looking at it you'll know that i always fell for certain cut of dress. hahhaa.. that's why my husband told me that i had a lot of similar dress, which i tried to avoid it these days.

1. the white sheath dress. you could top it with blazer for a decent office wear or accessorize it for a party look. i had to admit, this one is a pretty boring item, but somehow i always attracted to sheath dresses.

2. another white sheath dress, but this one with long sleeves.

3. red 3/4 sleeves dress. another sheath dress. but in red. it was pretty decent to wear itself for work. and red always can be used for party.

4. gray pencil skirt. i had several pencil skirts, but only one was in neutral color. one was maroon, one was floral and one in yellow. hahhaa.. i guess i had to buy some neutral color, like black, grey or navy.

5. red lace skirt. i always wanted a lace skirt, a pencil one. either in bold color or in neutral shade. i once saw a nude lace pencil skirt on pinterest, but i couldn't find one here. and looking at this piece, i suddenly got the urge to buy more.. hahaa..

okay..that's all for now, i would update my inspirations. i had to organize some pictures from jseverydayfashion first.. fiuh.. so many inspirations from her! until then, keep stylish!
honestly, i didn't know lauren conrad back on her laguna beach days. but my friend told me to watch her on the hills. and the moment i saw her, she's already make me wanted to buy her bag! and from that day since, i always attracted to her style.

i like lauren since she didn't dress up too much. mostly, she wore casual outfit, but she managed to slip some of her girly stuff. that girly part i didn't like too much, but her casual style, i loved it! and her make up. she was rarely wearing too much makeup, not too much red lips and heavy eyes. and i think it was suitable for everyday wear. i could copy her cat eyes signature to school.

okay, here are some outfit inspirations from lauren.
1. i love her pleated chiffon skirt. it was nude and i bet it was easy to mix and match. i loved how she paired it with some tank top. it was simple but stylish. relaxed but still good looking. and that channel bag! she always had a classic item, and i got to admit, she made me love classic items too.

2. yellow skirt. what can i say more? honestly, looking at her picture make me go around hunting for yellow skirts for weeks. but then i had to give up, since i couldn't find a bright yellow one like hers. i end up buying a mustard pencil skirt as substitute. and i loved it ever since!

3. blazer and jeans. i lived in tropical country, and blazer wasn't a must have staple here. but i always loved how relaxed it was on her. not too "all-business" but still decent. and on her website, she showed us how to re-wear one item, and fortunately the one item was a red blazer. she did influence me on searching for the red blazer, but i didn't have the courage to buy online, and when i found one, the sleeves were too short for me. *sigh* probably i'll just keep searching.

okay.. that's all my lauren's inspirations, and i believed there were more to come. i still haven't got time to collect some inspirations from her clothing line. i once take a look and i loved them. but i forgot to save the picture. i'll show you guys later when i had time. meanwhile, just keep stylish!

as i told you in my "wish list" post, i was going to learn how to contour my face. and i was planning to use foundation stick. but i couldn't find any clue about the shade that i had to buy, so i had to postpone it and try something safer. like contour kit. then i read about sleek face contour kit. i read in beautylish that some doubted this kit as contour tool, since the contour part probably was a bronzer and too orange for contouring. but, since the price was the same as the foundation stick, i decided to give this contour kit a go.

there were no sleek counter in indonesia, so i ordered it online via twentyseven shop. i've bought from her twice, and the service was excellent. check out her facebook: https://www.facebook.com/twenty.seven.collection
she only accepted order via facebook messages only, and she had limited ready stock. and mostly pre order for elf, bh cosmetics, ulta, drugstore.com/ beauty.com, sigma, and etc. if she didn't reply right away, don't worry, because probably she would later at night when her baby has fallen asleep.

okay, back to sleek face contour kit.
what they said about it: a duo compact with a contour powder perfect for contouring cheekbones and a shimmer highlighter perfect for illuminating your face giving you that perfect flawless finish. they were available in 3 shades, light, medium and dark.
obviously, i chose the light one and fortunately twentyseven had that one in ready stock.

the package: the package was a black compact, just like powder blush compact. i was surprised though by the size. on the picture it seemed big, but when it arrived, it was just the size of my palm. pretty small. inside, there were a big mirror, and the contour part was bigger than the highlighter part. on the web, they said that it weighed 14g. there was an instruction paper inside on how to contour and highlight your face. pretty informing!

the product: it was a pressed powder, and when i swatched it, it was not too powdery like my elf bronzer. the highlighter was not too glittery but it gave a nice shine when applied. the bronzer was not too orange, and a little was enough for contouring the nose. i still haven't got the right way to contour my cheek. when i applied it with my finger first, i couldn't blend it well and you could see harsh lines on my cheek. but when i used the brush to pick up the color, it was too soft. probably i just need to learn a bit more. practice make perfect, right?

overall: i think this is a good start to learn contouring and highlighting my face. the color pay off was better than elf bronzer, which more a highlighting than contouring for my skin tone. so, if i couldn't find a foundation stick, probably i will stick to this kit for contouring.

this is another late post. i asked my sister to get me some of sephora samples a couple months ago, but i didn't get the chance to swatch it when i got them last christmas. and here i am trying it and surprised. i asked them to get me urban decay naked foundation and laura mercier tinted moisturizer. i always wanted to try both of them but since no sephora or any of that brand here in indonesia, i couldn't try any.

this time i was going to show you the laura mercier.
laura mercier tinted moisturizer had 2 variants, the regular and the oil free type. i got both.
what it is: a perfect blend of skincare and make up that helps control oil-breakthrough and gives skin a sheer hint of color for a health, natural glow.
what it does : this lightweight formula provides ideal protection from the sun's harmful, damaging rays with broad spectrum SPF 20 UVB/UVA sunscreen. It also controls oil-breakthrough with hydration to prevent dryness and soften and ease fine, dry lines. An antioxidant complex of vitamins C and E acts as a free radical scavenger to protect the skin from even the most aggressive effects of the environment, all while extremely long-wearing color stays true and wears evenly in a natural, semi-matte finish. Non-comedogenic and dermatologist and allergy-tested to minimize the risk of irritation, it is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive ones.

when i swatched it on my hand, it was creamy. it was quite thick, so a little just enough. but i found it a little bit hard to blend. probably since it was more than 3 months in the tube.
color: i told my sister to get me the lightest one, but since it was their friend that went to sephora, probably she was confused too. i got both in nude which according to the website was suitable for fair to light skin tones, but when i swatched on my hand, both were darker than my skin. i didn't know which was wrong, the tube wrongly put inside the package, or  the BA wrote the incorrect shade. when i saw nude on web, it was light enough, but what i had on me was pretty dark. i didn't know..
and there was a different between oil free and regular one. the oil free was a bit darker than the regular one, though it was written both on nude shade.

i won't try the oil free on my face since it was pretty dark, but i'll try the regular one.

lately i changed my style. and i got a lot of improvement reading some fashion bloggers. plus pinterest. they do give me some inspirations. and my husband approved. hahaa.. here i wanted to review some of fashion bloggers that i like.

1. jseverydayfashion.com

she taught us to have a fashion budget each month. and it didn't have to be big.. she predicted that each month we spared 5-10% of our earnings for clothes. and she could proved that clothes aged more than 5 years could be stylish when it combined with other stuff. lately she wrote about age appropriateness in clothing. and i had to agree that i realise the same way too. some of my clothes were inappropriate for 25+ woman, a mother especially. and she was right. we were try too hard to show that we could wear things like mini skirt or hot pants, but it was inappropriate. but if we changed to more decent length of skirt and short pants, we could look more attractive and appropriate. and the most important thing that i learned from her was being stylish didn't have to be expensive. she even gave some examples on how to get clothes on sale and special offer like coupon or stuff. unfortunately, we couldn't use that in indonesia, unless we shopped online.

2. laurenconrad. com

okay. i had to admit that lauren wasn't a fashion blogger, but i did like her style. her tuesday ten and other parts in her "wear" section that inspired me. i loved lauren because her style was usually everyday style that everyone could copy.

3. pinterest
of course.. here you could search everything and everyone! probably not kate middleton. haahaha.. i was once search for her and find almost nothing. i wanted to collect her photos since i adored her style, but i couldn't find it on pinterest. probably just google her later.

okay. and talking about people.. of course i had certain celebrities that i liked seeing their style. lauren conrad of course, and then miranda kerr and taylor swift. somehow taylor made wearing red lipstick seemed natural. and miranda... as a mom of a son like me, i wonder how she could do that! being stylish while playing with her son! but my husband said, probably that was just on picture. in real life probably she got help from everybody.. that's why she could still look polished like that. emma stone.. what can i say about her? she was perfect! from her hair to her wardrobe to her makeup.. i loved everything about her. she even made me wanted to be a red-head. and don't forget kate middleton.. a pretty princess that still looked good and humble even though she was a mother of a son.

okay then.. i would update my wardrobe improvement.. until then.. keep stylish!
okay. i broke this month. i spent too much money on beauty stuff. i had to stop. and the almost last thing that i bought (and fortunately was on my wish list) was bb cream.

i know i was late jumping on the bb cream wagon. i didn't want to try it at first since i still got my revlon TWC and max factor foundation. but as my TWC started to show a hole, which means, i almost finished it, i decided to try bb cream. there were tons of bb creams right now. every brand tried to create one, and i didn't want to jump to korean lines, though they were famous for the bb cream.. i don't know why i didn't like korean brand. i never tried one, but my sister fond of them.. so i guess probably she'll buy them and i could try hers. hahaha..

okay. so the western line of bb cream were pretty limited. and i was attracted to the body shop. lately, my beauty stuff was cruelty free (elf, nyx, and body shop mostly). and body shop had several kinds of bb cream. they had vit e cool bb cream, all in one bb cream, and even 2 moisture white shiso bb cream. one with serum, and the other only with spf 25++ PA. i bought the later. the BA told me that all in one bb cream was good for those with dry skin, since it was moisturizing. and for oily skin, like mine, stick to moisture white. the one with serum offered more benefits than the one that i bought. both had only 1 shade, so you had to be careful..

what they said about it:
moisture white shiso bb cream was a multi-action makeup base which creates fairer-looking skin in an instant and conceals, soothes, and protects.
it can be used alone as moisturiser for oily skin types, over day time moisturiser for drier skin types or under makeup to provide and added layer of confidence and protection.
ingredients:
shiso extract - reduces early melanin-making signals even before the hyperpigmentation process and melanin production cycle starts- hepling prevent uneven skin tone, brown spots and freckles.
vitamin c - provides anti-oxidant protection helping to reduce the production of melanin.
liquorice - works to limit the effect of melanin synthesis and helps to reduce the variances in skin tone.

my skin problems : oily skin, brown spots and freckles and uneven skin tone. perfect! it all included in the description. and when i tested the shades, the all in one was darker than my skin tone. both moisture white were suitable for my fair skin, but the serum one looking too white on me. while the other blended perfectly though it had spf in it.

the product : it came up with a tube. the cream blended nicely. i didn't noticed distinctive smell.
performance : well, as for color, it blended well, which was rarely happen to me since i had pretty fair skin for indonesian. and cool tones which was rare too.. (most foundation were made for warm skin tones). but for coverage, this one is pretty sheer. i didn't compare it with my TWC, but i did noticed it didn't conceal my brown spots and acne scars. i had to use concealer again. but it did smooth my skin and even the skin tone.
as for the the oiliness.. i didn't know, i just wear it for 2 hours, and i didn't have shine on my t-zone. perhaps when i tried it again full day i will update this.

i had to say this one was a nice start in bb trials. but for those who had darker skin, you might want to skip this as it might look too white on your skin.
left : front view of the tube
middle : the back of the tube
right : the cream on my hand
left : my bare skin - noticed the acne scar on my nose and under my lips
right : with bb cream - it could cover some of the acne scar
okay. i had to stop shopping. for beauty products. i think i got it covered for several months. this month i already bought this pore eraser, bodyshop bb cream, and sleek contour kit. i had to stop. and fortunately, yesterday when i stopped at revlon counter, nothing seemed to attract my eyes. fiuhh...

okay. i never bought primer before. my problem was uneven skin tone (u had a lot of redness on my face), oily skin, and some pore enlargement. and i didn't want to spend money on those expensive primer. that's why when i read about this baby skin pore eraser, i instantly wanted to try it.

what they said:
it instantly refine pores. the gel texture, instantly vanish pores.
create matte finishing. it contains oil-absorbing ingredients. avoids shines on skin.
smooth skin. it contains watery soft ingredient to soften skin.
protect skin. the fragrance free formula and anti-oxidizing cherry extract help to protect skin.

some said that this baby skin pore eraser was dupe for benefit porefessional. both were silica based products that create a soft, matte and velvety finish, and help blur imperfections such as fine lines and enlarged pores. it can be used two ways, on bare skin as primer, or applied on top of make up to mattify skin and fill in pores or fine lines.

product: it was packaged in a 22 ml green tube which looked like benefit porefessional. it was a clear gel that smooth when applied on skin.
performance: instantly after it was applied, i did feel that my skin smoother, but i didn't see the change in my pores. i didn't have any problems with fine lines, so i couldn't say anything about it. and i just tried it underneath my bb cream/ two way cake foundation, and not after it, so i couldn't say much about the mattifying effect.
oh i noticed that i felt greasy on where i applied it, but on mirror it looked matte. pretty weird and strange feelings which i didn't like.

will i buy it again? we'll see.. since i haven't reached my final verdict yet.

new years, new resolution, and of course new wish list. actually, not all items in my wish list are new, but since i haven't got it, i put it in my wish list again.

1. lips :
a. lipstick:
nyx round lipstick : tea rose, fig, doll, fire or chic red, peach bellini. i wanted to try nyx badly since i read the reviews on many beauty blogs. here in indonesia we had several nyx counter, but the color shades available here were very very poor. most shades that i wanted to try were unavailable. and i wanted to buy online, but the price kept increasing due to increased currency rate. *sigh* probably i'll wait the cherryculture 40% sale to buy it.
maybelline colorsensational : peachy keen and pink me up. i loved revlon peach parfait, but it was too creamy and vanished too quickly. and i thought peachy keen would be a nice substitute. and pink me up was a pretty medium pink. i tried revlon most raved pink in the afternoon and it washed me out, and when i tried maybelline's, it was perfect. but again, i had to wait since i had several lipsticks at home already.
revlon superlustrous creme: love that red, fire and ice, cherry in the snow, demure, temptress, rose velvet, sassy mauve/mauvy night. all of the shade except love that red were not available in indonesia. and i had to think twice to buy online, since the price were higher. *sigh*
b. lipgloss:
revlon new superlustrous lipgloss : super natural/ rosy future, pink pop/pinkissimo, and peach pango. at first i didn't think of buying them, but then as my old lipglosses were expired, i thought it would be a cheaper and nice substitute. but when i headed to the store to buy it, it was unavailable. haiss..
maybelline elixir : they were not available here.. so i still had to think twice to buy it online
c. lipcream :
nyx soft matte lip cream : antwerp and san paulo. i've ordered them online, and i had to wait until the end of month to get it. i hope they were as good as i wanted them to be.

2. eyes
a. eyeshadow : i never regretted buying the sephora pret a porter palette. but buying it made me realize that i didn't need that much colors of eyeshadow. so, now i wanted to buy neutral palette. something that i could wear everyday. i wanted the lorac pro palette or coastal scents revealed palette. both were not available here, so i asked my sister to buy them as my birthday present. hahaha.. too early though, but that's okay. it means i had two more months to finish my sephora pret a porter palette.
b. eyeliner : nyx announced that they will launched their duo liner this year, so i wanted them. it was a kohl pencil on one end, and felt tip liner on the other. it was perfect! since i only could use felt tip or pencil eyeliner. pleasee nyx.. just launched them soon!

3. cheek
a. blush :
nyx powder blush : i've ordered peach and pinched and i could get them end of january. hope they were good. i had my eyes on some other shades though, like angel, summer pinch?, and bourgois pig. but since i only could order them online, perhaps i'll wait the sale.
elf powder blush : i originally wanted to buy elf, but since they were not available here, i was not sure buying them online, so i postponed it and tried nyx instead. the shades that i wanted was either twinkle or tickled pink and candid coral.
b. bronzer : nyx matte bronzer.

4. face
foundation :
covergirl 3 in 1 outlast ... : some said that it was twin sister of my max factor facefinity 3 in 1 all day flawless, but since i wasn't sure about my shade, i put it on hold.
maybelline fit me foundation stick : i wanted to use it for contouring, but i wasn't sure what shade i'll be and what shade for contouring..
bb cream:
either maybelline bb cream or l'oreal but both were not available here, so probably i'll just try the body shop instead.

i guess that's all my wish list for now, i'll let you know which one i decided to get and the result.

sorry about the late post. i got this christmas gift from my sister. the editors from nails inc. another nail polish! though i was excited trying new colors, i was confuse on how to finish them all. since i still had another 2 box of nail polish! oh my..

what they said:
the editors - treat your nails with this irresistible edit of must-have shades. This inspired collection features the perfect blend of foil, glitters, new and best selling shades to ensure your fingers are always on trend. Each stylish shade is designed to be the perfect accessory for any occasion.

it consisted with 5 shades :
south kensington - new silver foil effect polish.
chelsea embankment - full coverage gold glitter
marylebone lane - new full coverage ruby red glitter
porchester square - best selling mushroom nude
park lane mews - new deep wine trend shade

what i like: they name the shades! i didn't know why i was so excited reading the name. and i hated products that only had serial numbers on them. it was harder to remember numbers than name.
i have tried them all except the south kensington, but i forgot to take the picture of the glittery one..

this is a very, very late post. i wanted to review the revlon colorburst lip butter since ages, but i couldn't find the original picture i've taken with my camera for a while. so i kept forgotten about it. but then i found it and i could transferred it to my laptop, so here i am, writing reviews about it.

i had one when i was just having my son. i was bored, and before i got into labor, i managed to buy a couple of lip butters. i wanted to try new lipstick. at that moment, i was still a sheer lipstick/ lipgloss girl. and i had a not-so-good experience with the well-known shade pink in the afternoon from revlon superlustrous lipstick line. but i got attracted instantly when i saw the advertising.

what they said about it? it contained hydrating mango, shea, and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%. the pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth. sheer to medium color with buttery shine. available in 20 luscious shades.

the first one i bought was berry smoothie. it was a nice berry color, suitable for daily use. i liked that it was not too bright, but the color payoff was good. i thought it suitable for all skin tone. and it didn't dry my lips as the superlustrous one. unfortunately, since it was moisturising, it easily faded. but i don't mind reapplying it. so the staying power was pretty weak, it vanished with eating and drinking. berry smoothing also easily transfered everywhere. i didn't remembered it having a distinct smell, but i might be wrong, since it was years ago.

second one i bought was tutti frutti. i didn't know what was i thinking before buying it. all i know, i remembered reading all the rave about this shade and decided to give it a go. this was a sheer orange color. one swipe wouldn't show the real color. but i guess this color wasn't for fair skin. i thought it would be better on medium skin. again, it was moisturizing, so it was faded easily. the color was sheerer than berry smoothie, so it needed more than one swipe to make it show.

next was peach parfait. in the advertisement, emma was supposed to wear peach parfait, and it looked beautiful. so i thought i would buy one, hoping it would suitable for me. without trying it. hahaa.. luckily, it was okay. it was a pretty sheer coral shade. also suitable for everyday wear and all skin tone. but on my lips, the color didn't look anywhere near emma's. it was way more sheer than emma's opaque lips. since it was barely noticeable, only make my lips nicer, this one was the first tube i finished. and since it was very sheer, the color faded quicker than the other. i had to bring it everywhere when i use it.

then there was sweet tart. it was a bright vibrant pink, almost fuchsia. it was perfect for spring. the kind of lipstick that could instantly brighten up your face. since this was brighter, one swipe just enough. and it lasted longer than the other, maybe around 4 hours or so without eating and drinking. and since it was bright, it faded into a lip line, which i didn't like. i guess this shade for more suitable for fair skin.

the last one was cherry tart. i wasn't into red lips yet at that time, but i wanted something more mature. and i wanted to try red. at that moment it was between cherry tart or candy apple, but i forgot why i finally chose cherry tart. cherry tart was a blue based red lipstick, and very sheer. it was good for red lippies beginner. it was sheerer that sweet tart. it matched my fair skin, but i also believed medium skin tone could pull it off just well. while on darker skin tone, probably it would wash them out since it was sheer. the lasting power was a bit like sweet tart. but it also vanished with eating and drinking.

overall, i was satisfied with this lip butter. it didn't dry out my lips, which was great, since most lipstick are drying. and most colors it offered suitable for everyday wear. but if you wanted some more color punch, you might skip this babies. for a lipgloss lover or a lipstick beginner, i do recommend this stuff.
what i will purchase again? probably peach parfait and cherry tart.
happy new year!! like always, we always have a new year's resolution, including beauty resolution. on new year's eve i read about some beauty editors' new year's beauty resolution, and it got me thinking about mine. well, i had to admit, last year i was transforming in beauty and fashion world. i ditched my old comfort-unstylish clothes, and started to build a new wardrobe, something that more representable and more decent, and also age-wise. now that i'm a mother, i couldn't wear clothes that i used to wear. not that they were not fit anymore, but i just don't feel like using it again. somehow i outgrow them. and about beauty, i still did my adventure in the makeup world, and it made me realize that i had to take care of my skin more. i started to search for my holy grail skincare and hair care. i have found some of them, but i still in search for others. so, without further ado, here's my beauty and fashion resolution:
1.taking care of my hair and skin. i had to search for facial wash and eye cream. not to mention the shampoo for oily scalp. and it had to be my priority than to find a affordable makeup.
2. try highlight and contouring. i had a highlighter and bronzer, but the bronzer wasn't dark enough to contour. so i had to find something else. i was pretty pale so i thought highlighting and contouring would be perfect for shaping my face.
3. find a perfect red lipstick. my first try was certainly red by revlon. and i had to admit i didn't have the courage to wear it daytime yet, but i will. and i think that it wasn't the one for me, so i will find another one.
4. accessorize more. i only had several bracelets, necklaces and earrings. and some were outdated. i had to find more accessories to complete my look.
5. try a new look. like buying a leopard shoes. but it has to complement the other items i've already had.
6. cataloguing my clothes. it could made styling easier. i have found an app to do that, but i didn't get the chance to photograph all my clothes yet.

i guess that's all for now. we'll see later. for now, i was glad there were sites like pinterest and thebeautydepartment.com or laurenconrad.com and of course jseverydayfashion.com for my fashion compass. i could find inspirations on styling my wardrobe or my hair and nail. especially fseverydayfashion. ever since i read her, my style had changed a lot, and it was getting better, according to my husband. she encouraged us to try new things but still expressed ourselves. and being stylish not always can be achieved by high end brand stuff. one thing that i haven't done yet was establishing a fashion budget. but i will soon once i got a job.

unfortunately, i couldn't find a beauty blogger that really got me. but i still search for that. right now i still googling for review and swatches. hopefully i could find the js in beauty world soon.
