  • About me
anyone else goes on shopping spree on this pandemic? i guess everytime i see something good, naturally i became interested and then hesitating whether or not i should buy it. especially for beauty items. during the pandemic, doing my beauty routine was one of the things that i do to keep me sane, other than cooking and baking. and somehow, i'm attracted to beauty gadget nowadays. i've just bought foreo ufo a couple months before, and then i saw an instagrammer promoted an eye massager. hers was a different brand, but it had LED light and vibration as well, but it only had red LED light. and the price even though it's half the foreo iris, it's still expensive. so i searched shopee for affordable eye massager, that has LED lights. and i found one of xiaomi's under-brand, wellskins, made an eye massager. so i bought that one instead.

this is the description on aliexpress's website: lighten fine lines, dark circles, fade lips, rich and firm. high-frequency micro-vibration massage to relieve eye fatigue. intelligent inductive start, one touch and vibration, USB cable portable charging. eye massage constant temperature heating to promote the absorption of skin care products. red and blue yellow light treatment: relieve fatigue, skin elasticity, tightening the corners of the eyes, repairing signs of aging.

the box
the massager inside
the packaging: it comes in a white box with name of the brand and product as well as the picture of the product at front. it has green accent on the packaging.when you slide out, there's a box drawer with the eye massager in the middle. i think there was a booklet about the product, but everything is in chinese, so i don't understand a bit. they also give a USB cable charger that i forgot to take picture because i forgot where i put it. anyway, it has micro B type USB charger if you're curious.
how it looks like and on the cap that's the black galvanic stone
red light - you can see at the LCD it's R for R
the product: the eye massager comes in a white plastic pen shape with a white plastic cap to cover the massager head. the massager head is slanted so it's comfortable to use for eyes area. it has a small LCD screen so you can see the temperature setting, the type of the light used (R/B/Y and its chinese character), and the battery life. under the screen, there are three buttons, the temperature setting button, the light type button and the on/off button. you just need to press the on/off button for a few second and the massager will go on. it will automatically vibrate as well, so you can't control the vibration level. you can press the temperature button so you can adjust the temperature. you have to press until you get to the temperature that you want. once you reach 45 it would go back to 38 if you press it once again. then you can change the light. press once for red, twice for blue and three times for yellow. if you pressed it once again, the light would goes off before it goes back to red if you pressed it once more. at the top of the cap, there's a galvanic stone, but i never use it. they say that the battery will last about a month per charging session, and i've taken a note that it's quite right. i use this every night for about 5 minutes, and it lasts about a month before i have to charge it again.
B for blue
Y for yellow
the result: i never get to use the blue light as my morning always hectic (with 3 kids to get ready in the morning, there's no way i have the luxury to pamper myself in the morning) so i can't say anything about it. but it's supposed to reduce puffy eyes. i've only used it once and my eyes weren't puffy so i didn't see any effect back then. i usually use the combination of red and yellow lights. i use red light for about 3 minutes and then yellow light for 2 minutes, so total 5 minutes per eye. i usually use 40 degree setting as it's the level where i feel it's comfortable for my eyes. the warmth of the massager head is relaxing for my eye muscles. lately i've been sleeping late (totally blaming it on the korean dramas), and it helps soothe my tired eyes. however, if you're looking at the progress picture, you'd say that there's no improvement seen in the picture. i have to agree. you can still see some lines, some dark under eyes too. but since i only sleep about 4-5 hours per night, i have to say that the massager works in some ways. my eyes condition is pretty much the same for about two months, despite all the lack of sleep, so it must be working in some ways. anyway, i'm changing my eye cream too, so i'm taking another progress picture, and i'll update it here.
right eye- seems no change
left eye - almost similar but if i could be say, my dark eyes slightly less from the first pic to the last
during holiday i like to stroll around sephora because they usually sell holiday kits which means i could buy mini sizes items. and i was lucky. i found good deals for origins sets during holiday, and then the cashier told me that if i rounded it up, i would get more origins stuff as free gifts. so i did. one of free gifts that i get is this eye cream. i've heard good stuff about origins ginzing moisturizer, so naturally i became curious about the eye cream as well.

this is the description from their website: a refreshing eye cream that instantly helps brighten, visibly diminish the look of dark circles and depuff for a wide awake look. it's formulated with panax ginseng and caffeine from coffee, this energizing eye cream instantly brightens and helps restore radiance to tired looking eyes as you help massage away visible dark circles, under eye bags, and puffiness.
ingredients: water, methyl trimethicone, butylene glycol, PEG-100 stearate, dimethicone, cetyl ricinoleate, silica, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, glycerin, behenyl alcohol, cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, panax ginseng (ginseng) root extract, Castanea Sativa (Chestnut) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Cordyceps Sinensis Extract, Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Pantethine, Panthenol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Caffeine, Coleus Barbatus Extract, Yeast Extract\Faex\Extrait De Levure, Folic Acid, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Jojoba Wax Peg-120 Esters, Biotin, Tribehenin, Myristyl Alcohol, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ascorbyl Tocopheryl Maleate, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Sodium Sulfite, Sodium Metabisulfite, Steareth-20, Dipeptide-2, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Sorbic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499)
the tube
the packaging: usually the mini size will looks similar to the full size items, but this time it is completely different. the full size comes in an orange tub with white screw cap, which is in line with the other products from ginzing line that comes in orange packaging. but the mini size comes in white plastic squeeze tube. there's a bit description at the back but it's limited since the tube size is really tiny. nothing similar to the full size one. it comes in 5 ml but little goes a long the way. i've brought this with me during my japan trip (about a week) and now i've been using it almost 3 weeks and there's still something left.
description at the back
the scent: i don't think it has added fragrance, but i you sniff quite hard, it smells rather unpleasant. a bit fishy. oh well, it might be a good thing for people who don't like added fragrance skincare, but for me, smelling unpleasant product because that's the natural scent from the ingredients is not a good experience either.
the eye cream on my finger
the product: it's a pink salmon cream. i think it has slightly gel consistency that changes into watery traces when you spread it around. at first i thought the salmon color is supposed to cover dark circles, but it's not. it doesn't have any coverage whatsoever, so it's a pure eye cream. it feels really lightweight compared to my previous eye cream, and since this one contains silicone, it absorbs easily and doesn't feel greasy afterward.
after spreading it on my hand
the result: i've been using this on and off during holiday, and i'm continuing using it after i'm being back home. it's been more than 2 weeks since i started using it regularly, but i only use it at night. i don't see any difference in my eyes area. it's a bit moisturizing, but not much. it doesn't help depuff my eyes, nor diminishes my dark circles. i have to say compares to my honey eye roll on, that one works better in moisturizing area, while my avoskin helps depuff a bit better than this one.
after one use, there's no change on both eyes
nothing change after one and a half month
again, no change on the other eye as well
you can clearly see that i don't like this eye cream. i can't imagine why i should spend a lot of money for thing that doesn't work. the full size is really pricey, so i guess i won't purchase the full size. i have a lot of other eye creams lining up in my wish list, mostly local brands, so finger crossed that i'll find something good soon.
i haven't even written about my previous sponge and it's already torn. and now i bought the real techniques sponge. the reason is the case. i don't have separate place for my sponge, so it's been troublesome to keep the damp sponge clean. so the case is the reason why i bought the sponge. let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: flawless coverage wherever you go. our 3-in-1 multifunctional miracle complexion sponge paired with a travel sponge case helps you get a natural looking finish wherever you go. includes:
- miracle complexion sponge: rounded side blends larger areas of the face, precision tip covers imperfections, and the flat edge contours around the eyes and the nose. ideal for powders, creams and liquids. tip: use damp for a dewy glow or dry for full coverage application.
- travel sponge case: protect your miracle complexion sponge on-the-go. keep your sponge protected in your makeup bag or drawer. let sponge air dry thoroughly.
sponge is latex-free. replace the sponge every 1-3 months.
the packaging
description at the pack
the packaging: it comes in a sturdy plastic case. the case is separated at first but you can put them back together. it has RT printed on the case as a ventilation hole. the case also shaped like the sponge, so you can't put any other sponge inside. both the case and the sponge are orange in color. the case is obviously bigger than the sponge since the sponge might expand when being wet. real techniques color coded their product, so for the sponge it's orange since it's meant to be used on the face. you can see the orange label, orange case and orange sponge. if you have used real techniques, you might remember that orange is for face products, pink for cheek and purple for eyes.
dry sponge inside the case
damp sponge goes big
the product: the case is quite sturdy and even though the sponge is expanded when being wet, it can still fit inside the case. however, the hole on the case is not enough as ventilation hole. i often leave the case open so the sponge doesn't get too wet. the sponge is squeezy enough when being damp. when it's dry, it's quite hard so i never use it dry. when being damp, it's squeezy but slightly bit more firm than my previous ecotools sponge. i also think that it absorbs less product than ecotools one. shape wise, it's not that weird. it has one flat side at the bottom and the rest of it looks like the famous beauty blender, even the pointy tips. i always use the flat side to blend my foundation since it's a large so it's faster to blend foundation using the flat side. sometimes i use the pointy tip to blend concealer under eyes, but i rarely do it now because we're staying at home mostly. the sponge also holds its shape well when being washed. i don't feel like i can ruin it easily by scrubbing it to make it clean.
close up at the sponge
i've been using this for almost a year, so no wonder the bottom starts to wear out

i have to say that i like this sponge slightly better than my ecotools one. though both works well in blending my foundation, this one doesn't feel like i will ruin it while washing it. plus it has a case so i can bring it while travelling. price wise, it's still affordable as the ecotools one. i will certainly buy this one again if i ruined this one. but, there are other local brands sponge nowadays, so even though real techniques is quite famous as beauty blender dupe, you don't need to spend your money to get good sponge. i'll probably try one if i could next time, especially if it has a case like this one.
i didn't buy many clothes before. in my childhood, my mom is the one in charge of my clothing. she would buy fabric and then had them tailored. i had my first jeans when i was around 10 years old because of a church event. in my high school days, i wore mostly t shirt and jeans and my dad was the one that bought us clothes. back then dad used to travel a lot because of his job as a pastor, so he bought us clothes as gifts. i don't have any favorite brand growing up, and i relied on department store to buy clothes from. however, things have been different. after getting married, i got pregnant three times, hence my old clothes were abandoned for a long time. i got rid most of my clothes when i was just married, probably i have nothing from around that time now. now, thanks to pandemic, i relied on online shops to buy clothes from. luckily, i can still buy clothes online in my sizing, but i have to be careful though. some local online shops' measurement tends to be smaller.

since i bought more clothes online, i realized that i can't rely on the picture only. i have made several stupid mistakes for just buying the model, without knowing the material of the clothes. and turned out the clothes were not comfortable or too thin or not sweat absorbent. but i got better. i learned about clothes material. my mom used to buy cotton and always make me think that cotton is the best. but lately i find that it's not the best in all areas, so i don't have to search for "cotton" in clothes label anymore. anyway, two materials that seems on the rise are linen and rayon. i've never heard both before the pandemic, but lately, most shops sell clothes in either linen or rayon.
from left to right
1. top - macadamia house, bottom- linen shorts uniqlo
2. top - uniqlo, bottom - jordan shorts from amygostore
3. top - uniqlo, bottom - linen shorts uniqlo
probably i know rayon first from uniqlo. i bought their loungewear and i'm hooked. when i read the label, it was made from rayon. so from that moment on, i bought rayon loungewear or daily wear. rayon is a bit thin and flimsy, but smooth and silky. because of that nature, you have to put a bit care in washing and ironing it. use delicate mode and only use low heat when ironing it. however, rayon is really soft so it's easier to get wrinkled. it feels cool on the skin, that's why it's the perfect material for loungewear. on hot days, it's really comfortable to wear rayon on your skin. anyway, i have two shirts made of rayon. though it looks okay, i don't think it's formal enough for office use. but i guess it's up to your office's rule. i don't see or feel any different between uniqlo and local rayon. but if i have to be super critical, i think uniqlo's rayon is thinner but still feel soft to the skin.

2. top - kara daily top from amygostore, bottom - patrick pants from maven
3. top - dorothy blouse from beatriceclothing, bottom - linen shorts uniqlo
while linen, somehow i just realized that most of my clothes that i wear daily were mostly made of linen. however, there are several types of linen. i have several linen from different brands, and they all feel different. linen can be used daily, but since it's not as flimsy as rayon, it can be used in formal attire as well. however, there are "pores" in linen, so it's not super formal like cotton, and probably can't be ironed straight like cotton either. the softest linen that i have probably from maven. the pores are smaller and the fabric is softer. there's no stiffness in the fabric.

2. top - dorothy blouse beatriceclothing, bottom - odette pants karysofficial
3. dress- trench outer dress amygostore
4. outer - batik outer from hebethelabel, inner - GU, pants - grettel cheesecake from maven
i also have a linen set from claryn clothing. the pores are small, but not as small as maven's. thus it still have some stiffness but it goes by after repeated use. it goes more comfortable as i keep using it. then there's a shirt from hebe. the pores are quite big and the material is stiff when it's just freshly ironed. but i don't feel any discomfort while using this shirt. it's also feel okay under hot weather. i've brought it with me during my trip to bali, and i was surprised that my skin didn't get irritated by it. there's another linen in my wardrobe, a pair of shorts from uniqlo. it looks like jeans but i've read the label and it's said as linen. however, i don't see any pores but it's a bit see through compared to jeans. it's comfortable to wear too.

anyway, kids' school was on and off on the second week of this OOTD record, so that's why i don't take picture as often as the first week. but i have to do some errand, buy groceries and also kids' report card day, so there's a bit of formal attire OOTD as well. kids are on holiday now, so i have to force myself to get ready every morning. but sometimes i get lazy and want to stay in my loungewear all day. oh well.. anyway, i hope all of you are healthy. and if some of you are facing lockdown, cheer up. we can get through this. get some help if you are feeling depressed or anxiety. reach a family member or a friend. help in anything that you can. just be patient.
i take care of my skin much more than my hair. but that doesn't mean that i don't care for my hair. i do care for my hair, it's just whatever i do, it just seems doesn't work. however, that was my old view. i've been trying to take care of my hair more, and after finding the right tools and products, it starts to get better. i've found a decent hair mask and hair dryer, and i have several hair oil that i like as well. i used to like l'oreal paris extraordinary oil, so when people say that the mythic oil is better, obviously i want to try it. the price is quite expensive, so when there's shopee sale, i immediately bought it. i've used this for several months, so i guess it's time to put my thought into words.

this is the description from their website: the mythic oil huile originale has argan oil, a precious oil extracted from the legendary moroccan argan tree. argan oil has been used for centuries leaving hair soft and shiny. its lightweight and fluid texture is ideal for detangling after cleansing, and it adds radiance before or after blow-drying. heat protection to heated appliance up to 230 degree celcius. 48 h humidity and frizz protection. depending on hair density, dispense 1-2 pumps into the hand and apply to dry or damp hair and style as usual.
for all hair types. results: shine, nourishment, softens, heat protects, anti-frizz.
ingredients list: cyclopentasiloxane, alcohol denat, dimethiconol, argania spinosa kernel oil, c12-15 alkyl benzoate, limonene, hexyl cinnamal, coumarin, linalool, benzyl alcohol, hydroxycitronellal, amyl cinnamal, geraniol, alpha-isomethyl ionone, isoeugenol, cinnamyl alcohol, citronellol, parfum.
the box
description on the box
another long descriptions in various languages
the packaging: the hair oil comes in a cardboard box, it has gold metallic decoration at front with the name of the product at front. there's a bunch of description in multilingual on the side and at the back of the box. the bottle itself is a gold glass bottle with gold pump head covered with gold plastic cap. this one comes in 100 ml, but somehow the bottle seems bigger. probably because it's made of glass so it feels heavier than the extraordinary oil. and the shape of the bottle. it's like a tall guitar body, so probably it looks bigger and taller but it has the same volume as the extraordinary one.
the bottle
the pump head is smaller than the extraordinary one
the scent: this definitely scented as it has added perfume in the ingredients. however, i can't describe the scent. it's different from argan products from the body shop, and it's quite fragrant yet weird at first. at first i thought i like the extraordinary one better, but my husband and my youngest son said that they like this one better. however, it doesn't linger long. for me anyway. because i wash my hair every two days, and i exercise regularly, so the scent doesn't linger.
how the oil looks like on my hand
the product: honestly, since i've used this quite long, i can't say the difference with the extraordinary oil since it's been too long since i use that one last time. for the mythic oil, it's a runny type oil. not super runny like water, but for oil, it's considered pretty lightweight. the suggestion says to use 1-2 pumps, but since my hair is quite long and thick, i use about 3 pumps from midlength to the end of my hair. i don't use it near my scalp as usually hair oil tends to make my hair oily quickly. though i wash my hair pretty frequently, this oil seems to last long. i still have more than half bottle despite using it regularly.
left: half dried hair
right: after using oil and hairdry my hair
the result: you can clearly see in the picture that in combination with my xiaomi hair dryer, it works really well. my hair is less frizzy, no more dry ends. though it's not super shiny like the hair in the ads, but i'm happy with the result. my hair is soft and smooth without looking super oily at the scalp. however, it doesn't help much to prevent hair falling. but i guess it's not the hair oil's fault since they don't say anything about hair fall reduction.

anyway, i was planning to repurchase this whenever it's on sale. i guess it worths the extra money. compared to extraordinary oil, i see the result from day one. but if you don't have the budget, i'd say the extraordinary one is pretty good as well. as for me, i decided to try another l'oreal professionnel product, and if that one doesn't work, i'll switch back to this hair oil.
i've been eyeing on blithe since i've seen them in instagram. some skincare enthusiasts that i follow sometimes talked about blithe essences or their pressed serum, so obviously i became interested. but jumping to buy full size of blithe is too expensive, it's not in my budget, so i keep postponing it. even the sales price is still beyond my budget. so when i saw the deluxe pressed serum set was on sale and it was quite a big sale, i asked my husband and he said okay, just get it. so i immediately bought it. now i'm happy that i get the chance to try blithe pressed serum. though i wish blithe would also make a deluxe set of their essences. oh well, i make a video when i unboxing this set, so if you're interested, you can see it here. i open the velvet yam first because when i try the texture, i think this one would be perfect for me now, so let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website and cnfstore website: pressed serum contains ingredients from homo-hundred longevity area. it has excellent absorption rate with deeper moisture and richer nutrition than serum. the yam that people in longlive village in nichoya peninsula, costa rica eat, contains mucin which is a complex protein combined with carbohydrates, excellent for skincare. besides, it also contains fermented argan oil, olive oil, shea butter and macadamia oil form a protective film to the skin high in moisturizing and suitable for dry skin.
from the box: for instant and enriched hydration. 68% velvet yam, moisturizing collagen without stickiness.
ingredients list: Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract(68.5percent ), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydroxyethylcellulose,Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Xanthan gum, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Hydroxide.
the box of deluxe set
description at the back
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in a cardboard box, colorful and very informative. at front, you can see all four pressed serum pictures at front. then when you open the box, you can see windows of four and you can see the deluxe sample placed inside. there's a card with short description written in english and korean. at the back of the box, there's another short description in english with ingredients list of all four deluxe samples. the deluxe sample looks exactly like the full size version. it comes in a grey frosted plastic tub with dark grey screw cap. there's a plastic cover inside so the pressed serum doesn't come in contact with the air when you open the cap. the deluxe sample comes in 20 ml each. i've been using this every night and it lasts for almost two months.
what you see when you open the lid
the card. this is the korean part. flip it and you can see the english part on the back
the cardbox separator is broken during delivery
the scent: it has some scent probably because of the ingredients, but there's no added fragrance in the ingredients list. the scent is also very subtle. unless you sniff really close, you'd probably won't smell it.
the velvet yam tub
plastic separator to cover the product
the product: the velvet yam has a cream texture. there's a bit gel cream consistency. it spreads around easily. though it's quite thick, but it has enough slip to spread around. compared to iceplant, this one is richer, but not as thick as tundra chaga one.
the pressed serum inside
the result: after being absorbed, it gives glowy finish. there's no tacky feeling afterward. considering that this is thick enough, it's absorbed rather quickly. it layers well over and under other product in my routine. since it's quite rich, sometimes i can use it solely as night cream. but i think for super dry skin or if it's winter season, you might need something more occlusive than this.
the serum on my hand
after spreading it around
i have to say, i fell in love instantly with this pressed serum. it serves well in my routine. it hydrates and also gives enough moisture for my normal to combination skin. even on my husband's skin, it's also lovely (my husband's skin is dehydrated oily skin). if you have normal to oily skin, i think you'd love this. even for dry skin, but i guess at night you'd need to top it off with facial oil or sleeping pack. for me, it might be too much during daytime, but it's okay for night time. i'd love to purchase full size of this pressed serum if i have the budget. definitely recommending you to try this if you have the budget. if you don't, then check your local store during sales season. blithe usually have sales pretty often. i still have three more to go, so wait for more blithe reviews.
how are you? i hope you are well despite all the situation with this pandemic. i know this pandemic could be stressing to all of you. with lockdown happening in some places, cases going up and down, fake news popping up here and there confusing people, medical officers struggling to take care overload patients, and kids studying from home at some places. here, the situation is getting worse, some people still believe that the virus is fake thus refusing to wear masks, even spreading more fake news supported with shady proofs. kids are still studying from home, though a while back there's news that they will re-opening schools. but they tested several schools and they found out the students are infected without any symptoms, so they are considering the decision again. anyway.. staying at home got me bored sometimes. it's a bit depressing sometimes. and the tempation of online shopping is really big when you're just at home staring at screens most days.

i'm not super stylish person. in fact, i rarely buy clothes because i keep getting pregnant and then nursing. but i've been losing post pregnancy weight (though it's been too long since my last pregnancy..) and most of my clothes has worn out, so husband keeps telling me to buy clothes. so here i am, in the midst of pandemic, buying more clothes in this year more than other year in our marriage. now i have to hold down the urge to buy more clothes.. so i decided to take outfit pictures. so i can see i have a lot of clothes, so i don't need to buy another one.

i'm not super dressy person either. i'm more "t shirt and jeans" kind of person. but my husband keeps telling me to dress up nicely. not super dressy, but at least show some effort to dress up. not just t shirt and jeans. so i decided to put more thinking before buying clothes. how i could mix and match those clothes with clothes that i've already owned. it might sound silly to dress up at home, but luckily my kids' schools are a little bit strict about clothing. my kids still have to wear their uniforms during online school. and they expect parents to wear decent clothes so when we accidentally popped out on their screen, we still look decent. and as parents, we're supposed to give the example, so by looking decent we're giving them example to get ready in the morning for the day. as if nothing happens. as if it's natural to go to school from home. so anyway.. this is my two weeks worth of outfit, my first week is only 3 days because i haven't got mirror before then.

i have things for travel sets or minis, may it be in skincare or haircare. and holiday season is a time when i could get those minis or travel set freely. my husband was away for short time and i asked him to buy me briogeo travel set. at that time, we didn't have briogeo in our sephora yet, but now they do. i've heard good things about briogeo mask, the deep conditioning one and the other one for scalp, but for now i think i'll try the deep conditioning set first. i've tried the leave in conditioner before, and now it's time for the mask. i brought it with me to bali since i knew i'm going to swim for days, so it might be a good idea to bring the hair mask as the hotel won't provide one.

the pouch

description at the back

the packaging: since i bought this in a set, this set comes in a peach soft pouch secured by a cardboard sleeve that has picture of everything inside the set. there's description at the back of the sleeve about all three products. the pouch has a zip so you can bring it with you when you're travelling. all products inside are cushioned with papers. there's also a card that comes with the set. all the products has white packaging but different color pattern on briogeo label. for this "don't despair, repair" set, the briogeo logo is red and black in color. the mask itself comes in a white plastic tube with white screw cap. another description on the body in english.

the scent: this one is scented, but nothing too much. i can still bear with it. i think it is similar with the leave in conditioner, but i can't say for sure since i use it quite some time before using the mask.

the product: the mask is white cream. it's quite thick, but has slightly gel consistency to it. compared to my body shop hair mask, the body shop one is more dense, more like butter. while this one is a little more lightweight. i can spread it easily from mid shaft to the end of my hair. i'm focusing more on my ends since that's where my hair is dry. i usually leave it until the end of my shower and rinse it off.

the result: i brought this with me when we went to bali last week. i knew that we're going to swim almost everyday if we let the kids have their way, and i'm pretty sure the hotel's conditioner won't be enough for my hair, so thank goodness i brought it along. i use it instead of hair conditioner, and it works well. my hair is saved. until i got home, my hair was still okay, no dryness. even though we swam almost everyday. it makes my hair soft and smooth even though i didn't bring my hair oil with me.

i have to say, though i don't like the leave in conditioner, i do love this hair mask. no wonder the mask is one of their best sellers. if you have dry and frizzy hair, i do recommend you to try this mask if you have the budget. but if you have oily scalp, i think you should just use this at the end of your hair. as for me, it's way out of my budget for the full size, but i would buy another mini size if i could.
