  • About me
fss has been one of few local brands that came up with skincare products earlier. but later they somehow got lost in the game and haven't released anything new since they first released their products. anyway, one of their product that caught my eye was their eye gel. i wanted to try it for so long but eye creams are hard to finish since i only need tiny bit so it took me sometime to finally finish my eye creams. anyway, i bought it and opened it, so let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: this eye gel uses matrixyl 3000 as its star ingredient, a specific type of peptides that is proven to fight aging. it works by stimulating collagen synthesis and to repair damages. this leaves the skin firmer, smoother and more youthful looking. suitable for all skin types. for adult skin (25+). recommended to be used at day and night. this eye gel is light in texture and white-clearish in color. it absorbs quickly and has cooling sensation to it. non greasy, no animal testing, no paraben, no dyes, no fragrance.
main active: matrixyl 3000. enriched with plant stem cells, argan oil, frankincense oil. helps with fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, sagginess.
ingredients: deionized water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin (kosher, vegetable), globularia cordifolia callus culture extract, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 (matrixyl 3000), palmitoyl tripeptide-1, simmondsia chinensis seed oil, argania spinosa kernel oil, tocopheryl acetate, camellia sinensis leaf extract, glycyrrhiza glabra root extract, fucus vesiculosus extract, ginkgo biloba leaf extract, cucumis sativus fruit water, cassia angustifolia seed extract, dimethyl sulfone, vinca major extract, euphrasia officinalis extract, ganoderma lucidum extract, centella asiatica extract, boswellia serrata oil, silk protein amino acid blend, equisetum arvense extract, geranium maculatum extract, taraxacum officinale extract, hydroxyethyl ethylcellulose, carrageenan, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, carbomer, butylene glycol, polysorbate 20, ethylhexylglycerin.
the box
description on the box
the packaging: it comes in a combination of light pinkish beige/purple box. FSS color coded their products. i don't know if the purple ones mean eye products. so far i knew the yellow one is vitamin c, the red one contains retinol or its derivatives, and blue contains hyaluronic acid. there's description on the box as well as the ingredients list in english. they seal the top part of the box with sticker. the eye cream comes in a dark brown plastic tub with similar label as the box. they cover the product with plastic separator. it comes in 15 ml but it looks much because they put it in a tub. maybe it won't look that much if they put it in a tube.
ingredients list
the tub
the scent: this one is scentless. a bit foul in fact, probably because the ingredients inside. they put a lot of extracts so i bet it affects the scent of the product. i think it's a good thing for an eye cream to be scentless, so even sensitive skin can use it as well.
plastic separator
how it looks like on the tub
the product: actually i was surprised when i first saw the eye gel. i thought it has gone bad. but turns out there's nothing wrong with it. the eye gel is a cloudy white but still see-through gel. it's quite thick so it's hard to pick up without any spatula. once i put it on my under eyes, it melts by the warmth from my fingertips. it has enough slip to spread it around without dragging the skin underneath. it doesn't feel tacky afterward.
how it looks like on my finger
progress picture
top: july 16th
bottom: aug 24th
the result: it's quite moisturizing, i can feel my under eyes area soft after using this eye gel. from the progress picture you can see that there's not much difference when i started using this eye gel and after a month. it helps reducing puffiness and put dark circles at bay. however, for fine lines, it might take longer time to see the difference.

i have to say that this eye gel works well. i don't see my under eyes area got worse after changing into this eye gel. let me remind you that before using this eye gel, i've been using sulwhasoo eye cream, so price wise, obviously this is much cheaper. if don't mind with the packaging, then this might be a good option if you're looking for an all-rounder eye care. as for me, i don't like tub packaging, so i might not repurchase this one.
elsheskin has been here for awhile, but i never take a look twice at them mainly because their packaging isn't attractive to me. but i've been trying local brand's retinol products, and elsheskin has a retinol serum in their product lineup, so i decided to give them a try. there's been a lot of local brand popping up and launching interesting stuff, but i only have one face, so let's try them one by one. so far i've tried retinol from votre peau, somethinc, and avoskin. i also wanted to try HPR (which is similar to the ordinary's one) from bhumi and maybe whitelab (if i remember the name of the brand), but i guess i have to be patient. let's see this one first.

this is the description from their website (i translated it because it was originally in indonesian): younger looking skin, moist, evened skin tone and glowing.
key ingredients: contains 1% encapsulated retinol and multi peptide complex that can regenerates and treats problematic skin. active ingredients niacinamide, licorice extract, hyaluronic acid, and gluconolactone helps recover skin barrier's optimal function, regenerates skin softly, and giving hydration that's needed. suitable for all skin types and can be layered/ mixed with other elsheskin serum.
ingredients list: aqua, niacinamide, pentylene glycol, propanediol, glycerin, cichorium intybus root oligosaccharides, tetradecyl aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric urea trifluoroacetate, magnesium chloride, dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, acetyl hexapeptide-8, caprylyl glycol, caesalpinia spinosa gum, sodium benzoate, gluconolactone, calcium gluconate, lecithin, polysorbate 20, retinol, ethylhexylglycerin, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/ VP copolymer, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, hyaluronic acid, glycyrrhiza glabra root extract.
the box
description and ingredients list
the packaging:  it comes in red box with white text. i think all elsheskin skin has only red/white combination in their packaging, no matter what line it is. there's description on the side and back in indonesian as well as the ingredients list at the back. they use plastic sealing so secure the box, so there's no sticker label to secure the box. the serum itself comes in dark brown glass bottle with white dropper to dispense the product. the label on the bottle is completely white, and there's a bit description on the label. the dropper works well. there's a small gap between the beginning and the end of the label so i can see the remaining product from the outside. it's only 20 ml which is less than the usual serum size (30 ml). so i guess the bottle is deceiving since the size is not significantly smaller than 30 ml serum bottle.
the bottle
the serum inside the dropper
the scent: there's no added fragrance in the ingredients list. so the product is unscented. however, since it contains a mix of several ingredients, obviously it won't be completely unscented. i think the scent is similar to votre peau retinol, but votre peau is slightly more foul than this one. but if you sniff it real close. so far i don't have problem with the scent as my other products are scented.
how it looks on my hand
after patted it in
the product: the serum itself is a cloudy white runny type serum, which is similar to votre peau's. but this is a bit runnier than votre peau. it's easy to spread it around and it layers well with my other skincare products. it sinks in nicely without giving any tackiness. i start using this every other day since my skin has some experience with stronger retinol, so even though i take a break from retinol quite some time, i think every other day is safe enough for me. but if you're new to retinol, you might want to try twice a week before using it every other day after two weeks and then proceed to using it daily.

notice acne scar on top of my lips fades away and the ones on my chin as well
top: aug 6th
bottom: aug 13th
acne scars fade away
the result: at first i didn't see anything significant since i also tested other products as well. but i do notice that this one is really not drying at all. even better, it works well with niacinamide from avoskin. at first i thought it would be too drying for my skin if i combined it with niacinamide, but it didn't work well with erha peptide serum and biobeautylab oil. plus using masks most of the time made me get maskne. so i started to use this every night and then used niacinamide instead of peptide serum. i also stopped the oil and tested several sulwhasoo cream. so far it gave better results. right now i started to see my acne scars fading, but i still get acne here and there. well, obviously my forehead would be glowy just like when i used somethinc retinol.

i was quite surprised that this lasted longer than somethinc. this is quite gentle just like somethinc and avoskin, and it works slower than somethinc, just like avoskin. however, i like this more than avoskin mainly because after i started using this everyday, i notice it helps fading my acne scars. my acne starts to lessen as well. i don't get maskne as much as before. but i need to hydrate my skin more, using sheet mask to counter the dryness effect. i think this is a good start for beginner. it's gentle enough for beginner and quite hydrating. it layers well with other skincare products and the price is still affordable. and one thing i need to appreciate is the marketing team/customer relation team work. i purchased the serum through a marketplace, and they follow up on my purchase via whatsapp messaging. unfortunately, i haven't tried the serum when they followed up on me. some people might find it annoying, but i think it's a good thing. they went an extra mile to reach the customer to make sure that the customer is satisfied with the purchase. i do hope they add more products though, or maybe revamped their packaging for a bit. but i also think simplicity might be a good thing as well. i think i'll put this and somethinc in my wishlist if i ever run out of retinol serum to try.
i tried to finish my mask collection fast because i've been neglecting them for so long. i started using my foreo ufo mask again. i've been using the ufo but without the mask, mainly for soothing my acne. so now i'll try to use up all the masks before buying anything again. my favorite so far is the call it a night, so let's see how this one goes. it's been so long that i have forgotten how it feels on my face.

this is the description from their website: a collagen face mask. this ultra-rich age renewal complex deeply nourishes to give skin a firm, lifted appearance. pair with UFO or UFO mini for a 2-minute at-home collagen facial treatment that will replenish and smooth skin, leaving you with a younger-looking complexion.
a smart face mask that reduces appearances of fine lines and wrinkles, improves elasticity for firmer, younger-looking skin, helps restore skin's youthful plump.
key ingredients:
- collagen-infused: the youth junkie formula is a highly-concentrated blend of active ingredients that rejuvenate and renew skin. the building block of youth, collagen improves skin elasticity and smoothes fine lines while antioxidants in vitamin e protect skin from free-radicals that can accelerate the aging process. shea butter, jojoba oil, and olive oil combine in one deeply nourishing complex, leaving skin soft, smooth, and with a youthful plump.
formulated without: parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, disodium EDTA, mineral oil.

the packaging: they don't sell the mask in its individual packaging so you have to buy the whole box. for me, i like the option of trying it individually since my skin might react negatively to the mask. anyway, while the other two masks that i've tried come in a box of 7, this one only comes in a box of 6. the box and the individual packaging has the same design. it's has lilac background with the name of the mask at front, description in multi languages at the back as well as the ingredients list.
the packaging and the box on the left
the scent: this one has noticeable floral fragrance. though it's noticeable, but i'm not annoyed with it. but if you have problems with additional fragrance, then skip it.
description and ingredients list at the back
the product: the mask is soft cotton mask, the fit is right for the foreo ufo device. the essence is a milky white type. the essence is very generous, considering that i can use it for 3 cycles and if i didn't use it generously, there might be some left in the pouch. the essence is runny, so it drips down to my neck when i tried to distribute it before running the ufo all over my face. if you're curious about the setting, it only used red LED light and warm setting and T-sonic. i think it's the same as call it a night one.
the mask on the device
the result: since the essence is a bit too much, there's a bit left on my skin even after i run the foreo ufo for 3 cycles. but i just need to massage it a bit. after that, my skin is really glowing. reallllyyy glowwwing. but a bit tacky as the essence is quite rich. afterward i just put on a bit of moisturizer and eye cream.
left: before
right: after
i have to say somehow i don't like milky type essence mask. and this one i don't like either. even though the essence is generous, it's a bit tacky at the end and i'm afraid this might be too rich. maybe it would be perfect to use after a clay mask that might dried your skin, or after using several actives. i probably won't repurchase this type after i finish the whole box. this mask can be used with all ufo devices, from the original, mini and even the ufo 2.
i still have two pouches of hada labo refill, but i want to keep them for now. we're not nowhere near the end of the pandemic, so the chance of buying another refill is zero. that's why i'm keeping it for now. i finish my face washes pretty quickly, so i will use them later. anyway, i have no idea what local brand face washes are in trend right now, mainly because i don't remember. local brands have been releasing more products this last year that i have hard time keeping up with it. so, this time i tried something new entirely. i have no idea anything about it. last time i tried kleveru, this time i'm trying n'pure. i didn't even know that there are two versions, the cica and the marigold one. so let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: formulated to cleanse the skin from residual impurities that stick to the face which can clog the pores. enriched with various mixtures of active ingredients such as niacinamide to help your skin look brighter, laminaria digitata extract and calendula officinalis (marigold) flower extract to treat your youthfulness skin. polyglutamic acid, collagen, and gold which contain in this face wash can reduce wrinkles, maintain the elasticity, give calm sensation, moisturize, softness and smoothness of the skin. BPOM, halal, dermatologically tested, paraben free, SLS free, mineral oil free, alcohol free, silicone free, allergen free, minimal ingredients, pregnant/nursing mother friendly.

the packaging: this comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a weird-shaped pump head. it has description on it in indonesian as well as ingredients list. it comes in 100 ml, but the bottle is short so it looks like it has less product inside. the weird pump head is because it has brush attached to the pump head. the brush is made of silicone, and the bristles looks like egg noodles shape. it's covered with transparent plastic cap that also acts like a stopper. it's soft alright, but i can't say anything about the hygiene. i once pulled it off the pump head and dropped it. i think i'll get rid of it once i've taken enough pictures. they only wrapped it with plastic sealing.

the scent: well, my husband tried this first before me. and he told me this one smells like the bathroom cleaner. if you ever heard porstex, well he told me it smells just like it. when i tried, it does smell like porstex. luckily the scent isn't that strong. maybe not like porstex, but like disinfectant scent.
description in indonesian
the pump head and the brush attached to it
the product: from outside i can see the face wash is pale yellowish liquid. but the pump head turns it into foam. the foam is quite thin but it doesn't disappear quickly. i can use it with my foreo easily.
how it looks like on my hand
ignore my weird face
the result: i only use this as second cleanser, so it works okay to cleanse my face. afterward, i can feel my face is squeaky clean, but my face doesn't feel tight or anything. it's not super drying or anything, but compared to hada labo, this one is definitely more drying. just have to quickly pat toner or essence to give back the hydration to my skin.

do you realize that both keleveru and n'pure are manufactured at the same place? anyway, between the two, i pick keleveru than n'pure. no offense. the face wash is okay, but if i have to pick which one i like better, it would be kleveru. this one smells like disinfectant and a bit more drying than kleveru. and talking about the brush head. maybe they should make it attached to the pump securely. anyway, price wise, both kleveru and n'pure are very affordable and you can get it almost anywhere now. as for me, unfortunately i'll give this a pass.
when you buy a foreo device, there's a bonus mask inside the set. i got the make my day one as bonus. anyway, if you already had foreo device since it was launched, the mask selections are not as widely as they are now, and i remember they only had two presets, one for in the morning (this one, the make my day one) and the night one (call it a night one). the other settings would be recorded in your foreo device when you bought them and scanned them before using. but now, since foreo 2 was launched and they renewed their apps, you don't have to scan the barcode anymore and they have installed all the masks setting in your apps. hurray for the upgrade! okay, it's been awhile since i tried this one, so now that i've bought the whole box, let's try it again.

this is the description from their website: anti-pollution and hydrating facial treatment. this luxurious red algae and hyaluronic acid face masks is just what your skin needs to start the day. until now, masking in the morning just wasn't feasible. but this 90-second UFO facial treatment leaves skin looking and feeling hydrated, protected and ready for anything!
key ingredients:
- hyaluronic acid: with the ability to hold up to 1000x its weight in moisture, this hydrating powerhouse will leave you with radiant, glowing skin.
- red algae: rich in antioxidants, red algae protects the skin from environmental pollutants to keep skin looking healthy.
formulated without: parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, disodium EDTA, mineral oil.

the packaging: they don't sell this individually, so you have to buy a box of 7 masks. the box is light blue and the design for the box is the same as the individual packaging. there's description at the back in various languages as well as the ingredients list in english.
the packaging
the scent: this smells like wet tissue? a bit fragrant, but not too much. when i glide my foreo all over my face, i can still smell it when the device is near my nose but it's not overwhelming. if you can't stand fragrance in your skincare or you're sensitive to fragrance, then you might want to avoid it.
description at the back and ingredients list
the product: the mask is the usual soft cotton type mask. it's soft and the size is just right for foreo. the essence is transparent thick gel type essence that's enough for three cycles. if you didn't have foreo, the device is programmed to run for 90 seconds but you can repeat the cycle. for me, i'd like to run it three times before disposing the mask. you have to put enough essence on the mask or it would dragged your skin. if you're wondering about the program, the preset program for this mask is red light LED twice and green light at the end. they only use warm setting for this mask. no cooling effect in this program.
left: before
right: after (since i have acne near my eyebrow, for the third cycle i use blue and cyan LED)
the result: since the essence is quite generous, my face would still be wet after finishing three cycles. but after massaging it, the essence would be absorbed and it gives slightly tacky feeling, but not super annoying. i can still put other serums and creams on top of it. my skin is glowing after i use this mask, even until the next morning. it totally adds hydration to my skin, but i'm not sure about the anti pollution though.

this is a simple mask that i think would be suitable for all skin types. i think i'll use this mask more frequently after this since i've been trying retinol products in marathon. my skin need the extra hydration. plus being indoor all the time due to pandemic takes a toll on my skin thanks to air con being on most of the time. anyway, if you don't have any idea on which one to start first, then try this one. it's super simple, and i think hydration is quite basic and most people need it, so give it a try if you got a foreo device. this one can be used by all foreo devices (mini and regular one, foreo 1 and 2).
this is the second samples that i tried from sample set that i got from my sephora order. i've tried the toner sample before and it's quite drying. i knew that vinopure line is targeted for acne or oily skin, but still i think the toner is too drying. anyway, the serum is next, so let's see how it goes. since this is only a sample, i would only give an impression and not full length review.

this is the description from their website: vinopure blemish control salicylic serum reduces imperfections, unclogs and tightens pores. it refines skin texture and visibly improves the appearance of acne-prone skin for a healthy shine-free glow. benefits: 63% acne spots from 1 week. vegan, no PEGs, no synthetic fragrance, 97% natural-origin ingredients. non comedogenic, non photosensitizing. dermatologist tested
ingredients: water, rosa damascena flower water, alcohol, niacinamide, butylene glycol, palmitoyl grape seed extract, xanthan gum, salicylic acid, sodium hyaluronate, tocopherol, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, sodium hydroxide, metha piperita (peppermint) oil, citral, cymbopogon citratus leaf oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, citronellol, geraniol, sodium phytate, linalool, lavandula hybrida oil, melissa officinalis leaf oil, limonene.
the sample set
the packaging: it comes in a leaflet. at front you can see the picture of the full size products. at the back, there's a bit description of the main ingredients as well as a small card to see the result. the whole vinopure line is supposed to reduce oil on your skin, so you should see the result after following the whole steps. anyway, since i don't like to use the whole line consecutively, i don't try the result card. anyway the serum itself comes in sachet sample, only 1 ml. there's the picture of the full size bottle at front and a bit description at the back in various languages as well as the ingredients list. they slit the right and left side a bit so it's easier to tore the sachet.
how it looks like inside
the scent: alcohol scent is quite strong upon opening. but it's not that strong when i put it on my face. i also smell a bit of lavender or mint scent mixed, no wonder because both are listed in the ingredients list. even though there's no added fragrance, the scent is quite strong but not overwhelming. since other skincare products that i used are scented as well, they cover this serum's scent.
the sachet
the product: the serum is a cloudy yellowish serum, it's thick but still runny that it runs down my palm when i tried to take picture of it. it's easy to spread around and it's absorbed quite quickly. afterward, there's no tacky feeling. in fact, i think it gives matte finish.
description at the back
the result: since this is only 1 ml sample sachet, i only get two uses of it. i use it at night to replace my BHA serum and niacinamide serum. this serum contains both, so i skip my BHA and niacinamide altogether. just like the toner, this serum is quite drying even though it contains butylene glycol, sodium hyaluronate, and tocopherol. but the toner is still more drying than the serum. the serum layers well with other essence and face oil that i use. since i only use it twice, there's not much difference on my acnes. i don't see any soothing effect. but considering this serum contains niacinamide and salicylic acid, using it regularly might help to fight acne. but you have to use other hydrating and moisturizing product to counteract the dryness effect.
how it looks like on my hand
well, i don't have anything to say since the size is too small to make any conclusion. judging by the ingredients, it might work well as long as you hydrate and moisturize your skin well. but this serum contains several essential oil like peppermint oil that some people might be sensitive of, so please be careful before trying it. as for me, i don't think i'll try the full size as it's quite drying. even my BHA serum is not as drying as this one. maybe if you like matte finish, then you might like the serum. but not for me.
in the past i love the body shop wash off masks. i think i've tried them all back then. originally there were the chinese ginseng, acai, strawberry, himalayan charcoal, and honey. my favorite was the strawberry one. but then they added matcha, oat and coffee. i've tried the matcha but i haven't tried the oat one. i like how they come up with smaller packaging now, so i don't have to worrying about not finishing them on time. that's why i decided to get the coffee one in small size. i hope they come up with small size oat soon so i can try it as well.

this is the description from their website: give your skin an energy kick with our richly textured nicaraguan coffee intense awakening mask. enriched with a powerful blend of coffee bean particles from nicaragua and community fair trade ingredients from around the world, this mask warms and gently exfoliates your skin to help reduce the signs of fatigue. this leaves skin feeling awakened, cleared of impurities and looking more radiant and pores looking refined.
warming and energizing face mask. for skin burnout (skin that looks dull, uneven, rough and ashy). helps reduce the signs of fatigue so skin feels awakened, cleared of impurities and looks more radiant and pores looking refined. rich exfoliating texture. intense coffee scent. enriched with coffee and community fair trade sesame seed oil from nicaragua, community fair trade shea butter from ghana, cocoa butter and organic sugar.
ingredients list: glycerin, polysorbate 20, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, propylene glycol, sodium chloride, isopropyl palmitate, euglena gracilis extract, sucrose, coffea arabica seed powder/ coffea arabica (coffee) seed powder, parfum/fragrance, sesamum indicum seed oil/sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, theobroma cacao seed butter/ theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, butyrospermum parkii butter/ butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, xanthan gum, aqua, caffeine, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, tocopherol, biotin, citric acid, caramel.

the packaging: the full size ones come in dark brown box but with different color label according to the type of the mask. the full size jar is made of glass, while the smaller one is made of plastic. but they look exactly the same. it comes in dark jar with screw cap, similar color label as the box. for the coffee, it's brown label. there's a bit description in indonesian at the back. the small size comes in 15 g size while the full size one is 75 g.
the tub
the scent: this one smells just like coffee. if you're a coffee lover, you'd have to resist not to lick it because it does smell like legit coffee. i don't mind the strong scent as it's only strong at the beginning, but as you spread it around and leave it on, the scent dissipates.
the description on the tub
the product: the mask is quite thick and sticky. maybe because it contains sesame seed oil, shea butter and cocoa butter. i think using a spatula or brush to pick up the product is a better way rather than using your finger as it's quite sticky. but it's easy to spread around. the mask is brown with dark bits as this is an exfoliating mask. i think it has gel based similar to the acai one and not cream based like the ginseng one. i put it on for about 10 minutes and then massage it in circular motion while washing it off. using a cloth to wash it off is easier than using just your fingers. the bits in the mask is similar to acai one, smaller bits and not bigger chunk like ginseng. it's not that harsh compared to other exfoliating mask that i've tried, but still don't use it too often or your skin would suffer.
how it looks like inside the tub
the result: afterward i can see my skin is soft and smooth, a bit brighten as well. maybe because it does shed away all dead skin cells and making my skin looks more radiant. i honestly forgot how it would compare to other exfoliating masks that body shop has.
left: before
middle: mask on
right: after
(you can see my skin is brighter and fresher)
i have to say that this one is quite interesting as the coffee scent is quite strong, so it awakes me as well just by the smell. i also like how the bits are not as harsh as the ginseng one. i think it's similar to acai one. i think it would be suitable for all skin types, but don't use it too often. if you're not sure, they come in small size so you can try it first. as for me, i think i would like to repurchase in small size mainly because i still have lots of wash off mask in my collection. i need to work fast on my other masks. but if they're finished, i would consider buying this and the strawberry one in full size.
this is the last item from the basic kit set that i got from purchasing the bloomstay set. yes, i finally bought sulwhasoo products after hesitating forever. i guess the pandemic made me buy things i never bought before. but that doesn't mean that i'm not into drugstore products anymore. i still believe that you don't have to pay bucks to get result, but i'm curious about sulwhasoo. i've tried their famous FCAS and i do like it, but i don't like the bloomstay cream that i tried recently. so let's see how this one goes.

the box
products list at the back
the packaging: since i got this in set, it comes in a white/yellow box with slider to place all the products inside. at the back of the box there's a list of everything inside the set. all other products in the basic set comes in white/yellow combination except for this cream. i guess it's understandable since this is the only product from other line. this is from the concentrated ginseng line. all the products from this line come in bronzy/orange theme. the cream comes in bronzy/orange color combination plastic tub. it only comes in 5 ml just like the bloomstay cream mini that i've tried before.
all products inside the set
the scent: all products in basic set has sulwhasoo's signature ginseng scent but most of them are quite subtle (except for the eye cream, that smells a bit stronger). but this cream has the strongest ginseng scent among all. even my son told me that i smell when i put this cream on my face. after few uses i already get used to the scent.

how it looks like in the tub
the product: i thought the cream would be quite thick, but i was wrong. it was an ivory cream but the texture is like thicker emulsion. not as thick as the bloomstay cream but thicker than the basic emulsion. it's easy to spread around and it leaves glowy finish. it doesn't feel tacky, but you can feel moisture all over your face after putting the cream on.

after blended it in
the result: well, i do like how it makes my skin glowing at night before i went to bed. and the cream is still there when i wash my face the next morning. i was quite surprise that the cream is moisturizing even though it's not super thick. i tried to alternate using anti aging serum in the afternoon and just this cream at night to counter the effect of retinol product that i used, and this cream works okay to counter the dryness effect of the retinol.

from all the basic set, i am most surprised by this cream. i thought it would be too rich for me since the concentrated ginseng line is targeted as anti aging products. but turns out it works okay for me. it's moisturizing but not too rich. as this is only 5 ml, i only managed to use this for about 10 days, so it's not long enough to make conclusion about it just yet. but considering that it's moisturizing enough, i guess it would work okay to fight anti aging signs. now that i've finished all in this set, i can say that this set is a gem to try sulwhasoo's basic products. it gives you the idea about sulwhasoo in general. the toner, emulsion and eye cream size are okay to give you the idea about the product, but the FCAS and the cream are too little to get complete idea about the product. i wish they would double the cream size. anyway, if you have the budget, sulwhasoo is a good brand to try as the price is worth to pay. you get the quality. as for me, out of this set, i like the FCAS and eye cream. i'm still on the fence about the cream. if i had the budget, i'd try the FCAS again for sure.
