  • About me
i actually won this for quite some time. i've used the peptide serum sample and the retinol serum sample that i got along with this cream, but still this cream contains glycolic acid, i didn't dare to try it back then because i was trying retinol serum at that time. and then, my skin started to break out really bad so i dialed back everything and then started to incorporate things one by one again. but with regular mask usage and during my period time, acne keeps popping up here and there. oh well. since i don't use any actives beside vitamin c serum that i just started, i decided to give this cream a go.

this is the description from their website: argan oil and glycolic acid smooths skin to look younger, brighter and maintains skin elasticity.
key ingredients: argan oil, glycolic acid, marine collagen
ingredients: aqua, glycerin, dimethicone, cyclopentasilozane, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, decyl cocoate stearic acid, aluminium starch octenylsuccinate, cetyl alcohol, c20-22 alkyl phosphate, hydroxyethyl acrylate/ sodium acryloodimethyltaurate, cyclohexasiloxane, c20-22 alcohol, sorbitan isistearate, potassium hydroxide, phenoxyethanol, argania spinosa kernel oil, glycolic acid, squalane, imidazolidinyl urea, fragrance, dimethicone crosspolymer, allantoin, disodium EDTA, polysorbate 60, dimethicone/ vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, collagen, cyclotetrasiloxane, dimethiconol.

the packaging: it comes in dark blue with box that is designed carefully so it doesn't need any sticker to seal the box. you can slide the tub out of the box by unfolding the box. description at the back of the box both in english and indonesian. the cream itself comes in plain white plastic tub with plastic separator to prevent the product from direct contact with the air. there's only one-line description written at the back of the tub and there's no spatula provided. the cream comes in 30 ml size, which is the usual moisturizer size.

the scent: as you can see in the ingredients list, this one is fragranced. it has floral scent, but it doesn't bother me. the scent is noticeable when you just open tub. but once you put the cream and spread it around your face, the scent is barely noticeable.

plastic separator inside
the product: it's a white gel cream type. it's easy to spread around and it takes a minute to be absorbed. judging by the ingredients, it contains lots of moisturizing agents such as glycerin, butylene glycol, argan oil and squalane. though it contains glycolic acid to help with skin regeneration, but it also contains allantoin for soothing as well as collagen to help with skin elasticity. that's why this cream is still suitable for daily use despite having glycolic acid in its ingredients list.

the result: at first, my skin was in bad condition when i tried it. as i had to test it solely, i use it daily at night, and it worked okay. it doesn't dry out my skin even though i used it every night. it moisturizes my skin well despite having glycolic acid. i notice that if i had cystic acne, the size will reduce in a day or two. and it doesn't hurt that much. combined with vitamin c in the morning, it helps fade acne scars a bit faster.

i was afraid of using this cream because it contains glycolic acid, but i was wrong. this cream is mild enough to be used daily and it works well. it helps with cystic acne and acne scar. it moisturizes well, the scent is comforting enough. i think it's suitable for all skin types. honestly i don't know how much does this cream cost. votre peau products are easily found at their official marketplace, website or even places like sociolla and other online shops. if only i wasn't attracted to other actives or moisturizers (local brands have been releasing crazy amount of products this year), i'd probably repurchase this one again.
even though i still have two hada labo refills in my stash, but i want to try local brands new releases. several months ago local brands have been competing in releasing new stuff, but since i only have one face, i have to be patient and try them one by one. however, i'm glad that somethinc had travel sizes for several of their products so i get to try them quicker. one of the products that i managed to try this time is their cleanser. about a month ago they released a whole range of their cleansing products. though the gel cleanser have been around for quite some time, the others are new. now they have all kinds of cleansing stuff, from cleansing balm, cleansing oil, cleansing water and gel cleanser. since i still have cleansing oils, i just bought the gel cleanser in travel size.

this is the description from their website: a vegan jelly-textured facial cleanser that is formulated with very gentle ingredients, no SLS & no PEG. clinically tested to balance skin pH, soothe the skin, remove dirt & excess sebum, without making the skin dry, stretched and damaging the skin barrier. contains japanese mugwort, tea tree, centella and peppermint. suitable for all skin types, even for sensitive and acne-prone skin.
ingredients list: water, potassium laureth phosphate, glycerin, potassium cocoyl glutamate, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, butylene glycol, centella asiatica leaf water, caprylic/capric trigylceride, aspartic acid, caprylyl glycol, sodium cocoyl glutamate, 1,2-hexanediol, lauryl hydroxysultaine, coco-glucoside, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, polyglyceryl-10 myristate, glyceryl caprylate, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, sodium cocoyl isethionate, disodium EDTA, calendula officinalis flower extract, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, quillaja saponaria bark extract, artemisia capillaris extract.
the tube
the packaging: they have two sizes, 100 ml and 15 ml. i bought the travel size one which is 15 ml. both looks identical. it comes in plastic aqua squeeze tube and neon yellow screw cap. there's spout inside to dispense the product. there's description at the back of the tube in indonesian as well as ingredients list, though it would hurt your eyes if you tried to read it as they printed it really small to suit the size. they sealed the tube with plastic sealing. i only have one complaint. for a travel size, 15 ml for a cleanser is too small. maybe 30 ml or even 50 ml would be better. on me, since i use it twice a day, it barely last a week on me.
description and ingredients list at the back
the scent: as you can see in the ingredients list, there's no added fragrance. but, i like how it doesn't smell foul like other unscented cleanser. in fact, i think i pick up lemony/minty scent. maybe because it contains some oils like tea tree and peppermint oil, so it might affect the scent of the product.
the spout
the product: it's a transparent gel type cleanser that's not as thick as other previous gel cleansers that i used before this one. you can see that they use small diameter spout and still the product can come out of it without any problem. it produces low foam when being rubbed by hands. with foreo, it produces a little more foam, but still not super bubbly.
how it looks like on my foreo
the result: after washing it off, i can feel my face is really clean, but not super squeaky. there's no tight feeling or dryness after ward. i don't have pH strip test so i can't say anything about the pH claim.

i agree that this is gentle and suitable for all skin types. i have to say that i like this slightly more than avoskin one but i like kleveru one better. i just with they make bigger travel size. price wise, even the full size is still affordable and they often hold sales as well. i would definitely put this in my rotation list if i ever run out of new products to try.
couple months ago somethinc launched 11 or 12 serums at the same time. being a curious head, obviously i want to try them all, but it's not impossible, so i choose the ones that i'd think will suit my need and my skin problem at that time. i just hope that somethinc will restock the sold out ones unlike avoskin so i can still try them later. anyway, my skin was a bit troublesome right now. it was better when i used whitelab serum, but it got worse again. so i picked serums that targeted for troubled skin, and one of them is the resurrect multibiome serum.

this is the description from their website: pre, pro, post to renew troubled skin! this neutralizer and balancer serum is a solution for those experiencing skin breakouts with millions microbiome balancer in one drop so as to prevent skin problems due to skin microbiota imbalance. this disorder usually occurs due to lifestyle such as the use of cleansing products, skin chafing with masks, clothes or shaving. when the skin microbiota is imbalance, the skin becomes intolerant or more sensitive and looks dull. it is packed with pre-, pro- and post biotic to maintain the balance of skin microbiota so that the skin is nourished, healthy and brighter
main ingredient: skin microbiota balancer 3% - a prebiotics complex (GOS) and probiotics (lactobacillus probiotic bacteria) which function to maintain the balance of skin microbiota so that skin is well nourished, skin barrier is strengthened, skin texture is smooth and brightened up naturally.
quick fact:

ingredients list: water, glycerin, methylpropanediol, lactococcus ferment lysate, alpha-glucan oligosaccharide, pentylene glycol, 1,2- hexanediol, polymnia sonchifolia root juice, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/ VP copolymer, maltodextrin, betaine, adenosine, xanthan gum, ehtylhexylglycerin, lactobaccilus, sodium chloride, phenylpropanol, tromethamine, levulinic acid, sodium levulinate, allantoin, caffeine, tocopherol.
the bottle
the packaging: it comes in a transparent glass bottle with pump head. they seal the bottle with plastic sealing. there's no stopper for the pump head because they use smart lock system, you just need to turn the pump head and it will be locked. however, there's no sign on the pump head so you have to remember whether you've locked it or not. there's a bit description in both english and indonesian. the ingredients list is also printed on the label as well. it comes in 20 ml which is slightly less than usual serum size (30ml).
description and ingredients list at the back
the scent: actually the serum is scentless. however, probably because of the ingredients, it smells like a bit pungent, like fishy or something. it's a bit off-putting for me. usually the scent will dissipate after awhile, but for this one, the scent is permanent, so up until now, i had to hold my breath when i put it on my face.
the pump head
the product: it's a transparent liquid serum. it's easy to spread around and very quick to be absorbed. however, the instruction is a bit confusing. somethinc used dropper for their earlier serums before the newer launch that used pump head. so the instruction still says to use 5-6 drop. i don't think it'll be the same with the pump as one to two pumps are enough for whole face and neck.
how it looks on my hand
the result: it helps reducing my cystic acne size, but it's very slow if i only use it solely. usually it will grow bigger and hurts, but after using this serum, the size reduces and it doesn't hurt anymore. but if i combined it with AHA moisturizer, it works better to reduce the cystic acne size. as for preventing acne, i still get acne, but not as severe as before. i also think it helps with the sebum production, but not as good as jumiso one.
after blended it
i have to say that this serum might works if you have imbalance in your skin barrier. it moisturizes a bit, more like balancing between skin hydration and moisture. it helps with acne, but it doesn't prevent acne 100%. as for sebum production, it might help, but i don't think it'll help much in hotter weather. if you have sebum production, i think the jumiso one or avoskin niacinamide will work better. but if you can't use niacinamide, then this might be a good option. the price is very affordable and we know that somethinc often holds sales, so just stay tune for their promotion and grabs it. i don't think i'll repurchase this one because they have other serums to try from.
