  • About me
i saw that n'pure released a whole line of probiotic products awhile back, but i have a lot in my stash already. no way i could try them all. so the only thing in my stash that's going to run out soon was the cleansing wash, and i knew i go through them quickly, so it's the one that i bought first. let's see how it goes.

this is translated from their website: gel cleanser with pH balance, mild surfactant and soapbark extract to clean skin from dust and dirt without disturbing the integrity of skin barrier so it can keep the skin healthy. with main ingredients natural noni and probiotics 9 complex which nourishes and maintains the balance of the microbiome of the skin. chamomile extract, bisabolol, betaine, ceramide NP, and allantoin to keep skin moist and hydrated, and to provide soothing effect that soothes dry or even irritated skin.
the box
ingredients list: water, glycerin, coco betaine, morinda citrifolia fruit extract, pentylene glycol, xanthan gum, sodium chloride, coco glucoside, glyceryl caprylate, caprylyl glycol, decyl glucoside, betaine, butylene glycol, bisabolol, sodium cocoyl isethionate, 1,2- hexanediol, disodium EDTA, anthemis nobilis flower extract, citric acid, quilaja saponaria bark extract, ethyhexylglycerin, allantoin, caffeine, caprylic/capric triglyceride, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, lactobacillus/ acerola cherry ferment, lactococcus ferment, bifida ferment filtrate, lactococcus ferment lysate, lactobacillus/ punica granatum fruit ferment extract, lactobacillus ferment lysate, hydrogenated lecithin, ceramide NP.
the tube is exact copy of the box
the packaging: it comes in grey box with the same design on the box as well as the tube. i think the design is the same for all products in this line, with grey-white combination. there's description as well as the ingredients list on the box. the cleanser itself comes in grey plastic squeeze tube with white flip top. another description and ingredients list printed on the body. they seal the box with plastic and seal the tube opening with aluminium foil. talking about going the extra mile to make sure the product is safe and secured until it's in your hand. anyway, the cleanser is 100 ml which is a decent size for gel cleanser.
the opening
the scent: since this is targeted for sensitive skin, it's scentless. you can see in the ingredients list as well that it doesn't contain added fragrance. however, it doesn't smell funky like RAD one.
how it looks like
the product: this is a transparent gel type cleanser that's quite thick. maybe as thick as the avoskin one? since it's thick, i only need a little bit especially if i'm using my foreo. yep, i can use this with my foreo. with my hands, it's barely bubbling but the bubbles come out quite noticeably with my foreo.

the result: well, it does clean well without tugging or making my skin tight or dry afterward. however, i won't say that it leaves a moisture film like i've experienced with other gel cleanser that claims as pH balanced or non drying. it doesn't. naturally if you're not putting toner or FTE on your skin straightaway, obviously your skin will feel a little bit dry, but nothing that a toner or FTE can salvage.

anyway, it's weird that i enjoy using this one while i don't like the avoskin one when both of them feel similar. at least for me, i always reminded of avoskin when i use this one. anyway, the price is really affordable, and they often hold sales as well. if you're looking for a sensitive skin friendly product, then you might want to try this one. i think it's suitable for all skin type though, not just for sensitive skin. as for me, even though it's nice, there are lots of new products out there, so i'd probably not have the chance to repurchase it.
i bought this as i thought it would be similar to FTE since it contains galactomyces. anyway, i opened this one back then but then my skin condition got worse so i postponed using this and lately my skin gets better so i try this one to replace my toner. let's see how it goes.

this is translated from the description on their website: whitelab hydrating face essence with main ingredients, galactomyces and hyaluronate. healthy skin signs are moist and supple. whitelab hydrating essence is formulated with prebiotic, galactomyces ferment filtrate that's important to give extra moisture into the skin, adding skin suppleness, and brighten the skin. equipped with hyaluronate so skin looks supple and moist all day long.
functions: give extra moisture, brighten the skin, soften the skin, maintain skin elasticity, helps improve skin texture, soothe irritated skin.
the bottle
ingredients list: aqua, galactomyces ferment filtrate, propylene glycol, niacinamide, DMDM hydantoin, allantoin, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, tetrasodium EDTA, parfum, sodium hyaluronate, fomes officinalis extract, hexamidine diisethionate.
description and ingredients list at the back
the packaging: it comes in a transparent plastic bottle with label that has the same design as the rest of whitelab products. there are description in indonesian and ingredients list written on the label. they secured the product by sealing the outer part with plastic. it comes in 60 ml size with is much less than usual essence/toner size that usually comes in 100-150 ml.
the opening
the scent: since i write this after the essence is gone, i honestly forgot how it smells like. but i think it's not scentless. considering that it contains parfum (as written in the ingredients list), it's safe to say that this is not scentless, but it's not annoying.
how it looks like on my hand
the product: it's a watery type essence, feels like hydrating watery toner and looks like water. it's absorbed quickly to my skin. i use two or even three layers of this essence when my skin feels dry.
after patting it
the result: at first, i feel my skin is warm after using this essence and i can feel a bit hotter than usual. i thought i was allergic to one of the ingredients, but i didn't experience any redness nor itchiness, so i stopped it. then i started again and i felt the same thing, but this time, i continued using it and nothing happened. however.... i still have acne popping here and there. and it stops after i finish this essence. so, perhaps my skin doesn't react well with this essence. i just feel this one a bit hydrating but not too much. the toner that i'm using right now (true to skin one) is more hydrating and moisturizing.

you can guess that i won't repurchase that essence again. i think i might be allergic to it, but luckily my skin didn't suffer even though i stubbornly finished the whole bottle. even though it contains galactomyces, i don't notice any brightening probably because i'm also using vitamin c serum, so the effect is not that noticeable. if you're curious, then you can try it, but if you hesitant about it, skip it. you won't miss a thing.

actually, this one isn't a new release. it's been awhile and since it was launched, actually i had no intention to try it since i don't think my skin reacts well with niacinamide, but i got this as freebies so might as well try it. i got two of them so i got around 10 ml to try which is half the full size, so it's pretty decent to make up my mind after trying the freebies. let's see how it goes.

the description from their website: get your #brightbeautifully skin in 4 weeks! niacinamide 10% with sabiwhite x beet as #1 brightening agent. helps you to achieve a maximum level of crystal bright skin, improve your skin texture, strengthen skin barrier, disguise dark spots and hyperpigmentation on the skin, moisturize, restores suppleness, reduces redness, acne-fighting and minimizes the appearance of dry/ damaged skin. 10% niacinamide will give you a strong result and suitable for those who is used to niacinamide. suitable for sensitive, oily and acne prone skin.
powered with:

- 10% niacinamide: also known as vitamin B3. it has the ability to mositurize, maintain oil production, reduce hyperpigmentation and acne.

- anthemis nobilis/ chamomile: it can nourish the skin, hydrate the skin from within, functions as antioxidants and antibacterial.
- hydrolyzed algae extract: it is an extract of brown algae (dictyopteris polypodiodes) taken from the sea with an eco-friendly concept. this extract is clinically proven to be able to disguise dark spots and brighten the skin.
the bottle
ingredients list: centella asiatica water (72,5%), niacinamide (10%), methylpropanediol, betaine, water, glycerin, polysorbate20, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer, polyglyceryl10 laurate, tetrahydrocurcumin, butylene glycol, xanthan gum, ethylhexylglycerin, adenosine, anthemis nobilis flower extract, beta vulgaris (beet) root extract, allantoin, caffein, tocopherol (vit e), 1,2- hexanediol.
the spout to dispense the product
the packaging: there are several sizes of this serum, the biggest one is 40 ml which comes with pump head, the usual 20 ml and sample size (5ml). since mine is the sample size, it comes in grey plastic bottle with pointy spout covered in white plastic cap. there's label on it with description, and if you peeled it, you can read the complete ingredients list. but you can see in the picture that it's printed in grey text and the font is tiny, so it will hurt your eyes if you tried to read it.
if you peel the label, you can see the ingredients list
the scent: there's no added fragrance so this serum is scentless.
how it looks like on my hand
the product: the serum is a transparent runny type gel serum. since it's quite runny, it's easy to spread around and it takes a minute or two to be absorbed. as you can see in the ingredients list, the main ingredients are placed right on top with the exception of the beet extract that's placed quite behind. it's packed with moisturizing stuff like BG and glycerin, as well as soothing stuff like allantoin.
after blending it
the result: like i said, it seems that my skin doesn't react well with niacinamide. it does moisturize my skin but i don't see other result. it might soothe my skin a bit especially when i got acne, but it doesn't help with acne nor brightening. to be fair, i'm quite fair to begin with, and i'm using vitamin c serum at different time slot, so i was hoping that it will help fade the acne scar, but i don't think it works.

anyway, this is one of their best selling serums, so if you're curious but afraid of the 10% concentration, there's the 5% concentration that you can try. if you just want the niacinamide without the brightening properties, then there's the barrier serum one that doesn't contain sabiwhite. as for me, i'll pass this one. this is certainly not for me. price wise, it's very affordable and somethinc often hold sales, so just wait for the right moment to buy. you can buy somethinc almost everywhere, so it's quite easy to get.

i've been curious about somethinc moisturizer for quite some time but i keep postponing to get it because i'm afraid that it'll be too thick considering it contains ceramide, which is usually main ingredients that brands use for dry skin. so when they launched the supple one and there's various sizes for both types, i decided to try the smaller size to decide which i like better. i've tried the supple one, and i love it (read it here if you're interested), so let's see how it goes with this one.

this is the description on their website: hydrate, revive, strengthen, and get your #ceramicskin! gel moisturizer with 9 powerful clean supercharged ingredients that's proven clinically to hydrate, freshen and strengthen skin. enriched with hydrolyzed marine collagen, which is collagen type 1 from other types of collagen. hydrolyzed marine collagen can absorb 1,5 times faster and easier from other collagen. feel 24 hours moisture to get back healthy skin barrier and youthful look. #myskinsaviour
ingredients: hydrolyzed marine collagen, matrixyl 3000 (glycerin, water, butylene glycol, carbomer, polysorbate 20, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7), palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, ceramide NP, miniha (hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate), betaine, hydrolyzed algae extract (seaweed), niacinamide, oat, caffeine

the packaging: this one doesn't come in any boxes. there are three sizes of this moisturizer, the big one is 50 ml, the medium size one is 25 ml and the sample size is 5 ml. i bought the medium size one, 25 ml so it comes in blue plastic squeeze tube with grey plastic screw cap. there's description on the tube as well as the ingredients list but it's printed in tiny fonts, so i don't bother reading it. they only seal it with plastic to seal the tube. the bigger size actually comes in big tub but with a pump system which is really cool for a local brand. anyway, it has spout to dispense the product so it's mess free. i have to give credit for somethinc for their packaging. aside from the multipeptide one, i don't think i ever complain of their packaging.
the tube
the scent: since my other product is scented, somehow it messes with my nose. i don't think this one is scented, but i might be mistaken. it might have subtle scent that my nose can't pick up. but, there's no added fragrance in the ingredients list, so it might be scentless.
look at the tiny fonts!
the product: it's a snow white gel type cream. it's thicker than the supple one. actually the reason why i hesitated for picking one between the two was the texture. i can see from the picture and from influencer's reviews that this one is thicker, but somethinc advised this one for oily skin type, which is confusing for me. if i only saw the picture, i will guess that the supple one is targeted for oily skin type and this one for dry skin type. but somethinc recommended this one for combi to oily skin and supple for dry and dehydrated skin. for me personally, i think the supple one is more suitable for oily skin and this one for dry and combi skin, but again, it's just a matter of preference. this one also spreads around easily, melts into watery traces and takes a few seconds to be absorbed and give subtle glow to my skin.
how it looks like on my skin
the result: this one definitely feels more moisturizing compared to the supple one. the supple one leans toward hydrating rather than moisturizing. however, this one is still lightweight compared to hale one.
after blended it
i have to say that i like both. but if i have to be picky, i like the supple one for hotter days as it's super lightweight like elsheskin one, but i don't mind using this over rainy days. this feels similar to true to skin one. so as for now, i have four new favorites in gel moisturizer category. i really can't decide it for you. you have to try it yourself which one you like better. you can see and guess from the texture and decide it for yourself which one suits your skin. as for me, i will rotate the four if i ever run out of products to try. but it seems impossible. even somethinc is about to release two more moisturizers tomorrow (by the time this post goes online, they would already released them). i have my eye on the retinol cream one, so let's see if i could buy it separately and not in bundle. anyway, price wise, it's affordable since there are three sizes to choose from, so pick one for your need and budget.

actually this was one of the serum that i was interested in when i saw it being launched. but unfortunately when i bought several dear me beauty serums, this one was unavailable, so i decided to wait. lucky for me, when i was strolling around sociolla last time, i found this one in sample size, so i decided to grab it.

this is translated from their catalogue: 8% snap 8 peptide is the next generation anti aging ingredient from argireline that's widely known to fight aging signs. it helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tighten skin and maintain skin elasticity, boost skin hydration, help skin barrier function. pH 5-5,5
suitable for aging skin, uneven skin texture, damaged skin barrier
snap 8 peptide used in this serum is a vegan friendly one. this serum can be botox alternatives, which helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and makes the skin looks younger.
ingredients: water, phenoxyethanol, aloe barbadensis extract, persea gratissima (avocado) fruit extract, glycerin, propylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, acetyl octapeptide-3, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, soluble collagen

the packaging: just like the other serums from this line, they all come in white box with another color combination that's coordinated according to its function. red for hydrators (which i've tried almost all of them, i think i only have one left in this line that i haven't tried), yellow for acid (BHA, vitamin c and stuff), purple for retinol, and for this one, somehow it's green. it's the only serum in the green line. there's description all over the box in indonesian as well as the ingredients list. you can crack open the box and there's additional description on the inside. the serum itself comes in light-bulb shaped glass bottle with color coordinated neck and dropper to dispense the product. there are two sizes, the 12 ml (sample size) and the 32 ml (the full size). it's weird since usually they will be 10 ml and 30 ml, but who's complaining? anyway, i think the dropper for the sample size is too short that i have to pour it straight from the bottle when i reach three quarter of it. the dropper for the full size is decent that i only need to pour it for 2-3 times before i finish the whole stuff.
the box
description on the box as well as ingredients list
seal on top of the box
the scent: i don't think it's scented but there's no weird scent as well. so, yeah, it's suitable even for sensitive skin.
more description inside
the bottle
the product: i've tried other brand's peptide serum, and there's on thing in common between them, they all are on the thick side. so obviously, seeing this serum is called peptide and avocado extract serum, i think that it'll be thick as well. but no, i was wrong. this serum is transparent and liquid, just like water. i was surprised when i tried it the first time. anyway, since the dropper is really small, i use three droppers for my whole face and neck.
how it looks like on my hand
right after spreading it
the result: well, since it's liquid, then it's easy to absorbed within seconds. in fact, the first few times, i don't feel like using anything. it's wayyyy to runny for my night routine. after a few days, i start to notice that it's similar to the inoceramide one. it's more like hydrating rather than moisturizing. a tad moisturizing but not much. if you use retinol and other acid, i don't think using this serum is enough to counter the dryness effect. it layers well with my other skincare products, however, this is not something that i can use before using foreo bear.

okay, it's safe to say that i'm quite disappointed in this serum. i was hoping for a moisturizing one, but this one is definitely not. if you're looking for lightweight serum, then this might be a good option for you. since it's liquid, you can use it day or night and it will be suitable for all skin type. price wise, it's still affordable. as for me, no, i won't buy it again. i think votre peau peptide or somethinc one is more on my alley rather than this one. but don't let me stop you from trying it if you think this is something that you'd like.
