okay, for you who have been reading my blog, you will know that i'm in search for essence or serum for sebum control and hopefully will shrink my pore. though i don't have gigantic pores, but i have visible pores on my nose and my inner cheek (near my nose). and i've tried the skinfood and mizon, and i haven't found the ace one. and i saw on sampehime's instagram (go see her blog: samplehime.com) and she said she loved the its skin po effector. even she bought two full-size bottles at once! so i guess the product must be good.. so i have to try it, and luckily, my usual sample seller has them, so i bought them.
this is the description from their official website:
po effector: silky essence especially designed to treat pores, containing highly concentrated houttuynia cordata extracts with the superior function of sebum control and 4 other ingredients combined to tighten pores for the management of pores.
since i have good experience with vc effector, i hope i get the same experience with this one too..
the package: the sample is in a sachet that's have the picture and the color of the full size product. it's also shaped like a bottle. i guess it'll make easier for you to purchase the full size since you've already known the color.
the smell: usually i can't pick certain scent out of a product, but this one.. it has a distinct floral scent. since i have a bed smelling sense, i assume it must be a little bit strong for normal nose.. so it's a no-no for me. i can't stand fragrant smell, that's why i never buy perfume. it makes me dizzy. and i always have the assumption that my skincare shouldn't smell this strong. too floral.. but for you who like floral scent, probably it will work for you.
the product: it's a cloudy white substance, a little bit whobbly, but not too runny. like a cream but light, more to gel. i don't know how to describe the texture, but all i know, it's absorbed quickly. oh and one sachet can last for 3 uses, so i get to use this sample for whole week, sometimes twice a day.
the result: i can only comment for the sebum control. and it did help a little with sebum control. just like skinfood and mizon, but it didn't leave slightly greasy feeling like mizon. as for the pore tightening effect, i have no saying. but some bloggers said that it works. it just needs time. probably months. so for you who want instant result or at least quicker, just skip this.
overall, this is a good serum for pore and sebum control, but since i can't stand the scent, i have to skip this one.
