tatcha the rice wash

if you had read my blogs, then you'd know that i had bought tatcha set several holidays ago. i've used most of the stuff from the set, this one is the last one that i haven't tried. i like both moisturizers, but the essence is a pass for me. the cleansing oil is so-so. i'm on the fence with the scrub one, so let's see how it goes with this one.
the packaging
this is the description from their website: a gently effective, cream cleanser that washes away daily buildup without stripping skin for a soft, luminous complexion.
key ingredients:
- pH neutral amino acid base: this gentle base removes impurities without stripping skin of its essential oils. unlike most pH-neutral cleansers, this formula foams into a creamy lather, leaving skin silky, smooth, and well-moisturized. this key ingredient also helps to balance the pH-level of the skin, which helps the skin function properly.
- japanese rice powder : used in classical japanese cleansing rituals, rice powder naturally softens and boosts luminosity, while keeping the skin well moisturized.
- okinawa algae blend and hyaluronic acid : a special blend of okinawa algae and hyaluronic acid captures water to help replenish skin's natural moisture reservoir, immediately leaving skin soft, comforted, and deeply nourished. it also helps to replenish ceramides to ensure optimum skin barrier function, aiding in the reduction of future moisture loss, for skin that is visibly smooth and plump with hydration.

the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in pink/purple abstract bag with all the products inside. there's a cardboard sleeve with all the descriptions and ingredients of all the products inside. all the products are placed in a plastic tray so everything is safe and secure. this facial wash comes in a purple plastic squeeze tube with flip top. they seal the opening with aluminum foil to secure everything. it comes in 50 ml, which is the same size as the deep cleanse. it's quite generous for a sample since it can last me for more than two weeks during my trip to new zealand.

the scent: this one is scentless? or at least if it's scented, it's barely noticeable because it's very subtle.
how it looks like
the product: just like advertised, it's a white creamy cleanser. it's thick, almost like a toothpaste? since it's very thick, i don't need much each use. i can use my bare hands or my foreo to spread this around. it lathers up decently and it's easy to wash off. i think it will last long since i only need just a bit every time.

the result: afterward, i can feel that it's moisturizing, but it doesn't leave any film behind. i don't feel anything on top of my skin, but it doesn't strip my skin off either.
how it looks like on my foreo
i think this one is suitable for all skin types. it's moisturizing and non stripping cleanser but it still foams a bit, so if you still like a foaming cleanser, then this is a good option for you. tatcha is a well known brand, so it's easy to get either in sephora or other similar places. however, the price is quite expensive, so it's really up to you to decide whether to splurge or not. as for me, i think there are other options out there with much cheaper price, so i'm glad i get the chance to try this one. but i don't think i'll repurchase nor purchase the full size product.
