mediheal retinol collagen eye ampoule patch

it's been awhile since i use an eye patch. mainly because i can't find them here if i don't buy them online. or the ones available here i have tried before. so when i was in korea and i saw this one, i immediately buy it without thinking twice. it has retinol and collagen, so obviously i'm interested in it.

this is the description from some online store:
- retinol X collagen: 95% pure retinol and 5-fold collagen, optimal combination to solve eye area problems
- brighten dull eyes: brightening effect for dull eye areas with niacinamide and glutathione
- hydrogel patch with visible ampoule absorption: a hydrogel patch that melts the high-nutrition ampoule as it is.
- one touch container: if you press the built-in cap firmly and turn the cap to close it, the high-efficiency ingredients are released until the last sheet.

descriptions on the box
the packaging: it comes in a red and grey box with the picture of the product at front. there are a lot of descriptions around the box in korean. inside, the eye patch is stored inside a brown plastic tub with a screw cap. there are 60 patches so if you only use them for your eyes, then it will last for a month, if you use them daily. there's a plastic cover inside to cover the patches from being in contact with air directly and there's a big spatula on top of it to help separating the patches. the spatula is made of plastic and it has this dip on it. however, sometimes i think it doesn't help much to separate each patch.

the scent: this one is unscented, but i might be mistaken. it might have a very subtle fragrance that my nose can't pick up. because most korean products are scented, but perhaps they make an exception for an eye product.
the separator and the giant spatula
the product: the eye patch is a gel type patch. it's pinkish and it's submerged in some kind of liquid, which is probably the essence. thus, it's very slippery so you have no choice but to use the spatula to separate each patch and lift it up to put it under your eyes. the shape of the patches is the same as the other eye patches. i have trouble picking which side goes where, but i decided to put the thinner end on my inner eye and the big fat one on my outer part.

the result: i used to let the patches on until it's thin and almost dried up. well, at least damp. anyway, after i take it off, my under eyes feel moisturized, but not much. i still need to put on an eye cream on top of it. i can't say for sure about the brightening effect since my sleep has been irregular during the time i use it, so i can't say anything about it. but i know for sure that it helps with the puffiness and it helps moisturizing my under eyes.
this is how it looks like on me (but i forgot to take the 'after' picture)
i'm glad i can find this one. if you can get your hands into this one, you should buy it. i think it'll be suitable for everyone, regardless of skin type and age. i'm not sure about the retinol ingredients though. they say that the percentage is quite high, but i never find asian skincare products that use harsh ingredients, especially retinol. but if you're not supposed to use any retinol in your skincare products, then you should avoid this just to be sure. as for me, if only i can get it again then i'll definitely repurchase this.
