last time i was in singapore, i couldn't find any more my beauty diary masks that i haven't tried so i only bought two more variants, and i bought several naruko masks. however, they are too expensive to buy in bulk, so i only bought the individual mask. i bought the raw job's, tea tree and the narcissus. i've tried the raw job's and it was okay, a little bit disappointed since i have such high hopes, but it's okay. so since i have acne, i think it's the right time to try the tea tree one.
this is description from watson singapore's website: this activated carbon mask is designed to absorb excess oil and prevent acne. it enhances sebum secretion control and maintains oil-water balance for shine & blemish free skin. benefits: it cleanses pores and balances sebum production while providing hydration to reduce blemishes and post blemish marks. for all skin types, especially recommended for oily and troubled skin prone to acne, pimples and visible pores.
the packaging: as i've told you, i only bought individual packaging. it comes in plain green sachet. the description and ingredients list at the back both in english and mandarin. no picture, nothing. it's just plain green sachet.
the scent: this one smells medicinal, or perhaps, as some describe it as tea tree scent. i only have tried body shop tea tree product and it smells different from body shop one. again, the scent is not so subtle but not too overwhelming either.
the product: first, let me remind you that there's alcohol and fragrance in this mask, as well as other ingredients to fight acne that might not suitable for super sensitive skin. so you might want to check ingredients list first. the mask is pretty thick black cotton that adheres well on my skin, but not stretchy. the it is on the wider side. it has an okay forehead, big enough eyes and mouth holes, but slightly too wide nose bridge. it has slit under the lip but doesn't help much. overall, the fit is okay for me but it still has narrow jaw like my beauty diary. it has clear but slightly yellowish essence and it's quite generous. the mask is well soaked in the essence. it only has a bit left in the pouch but i put it back on the mask to prolong the wear time.
the result: i forget how long i put this one on, but it's not as long as i want it to be. i put my beauty diary masks longer than this. it's hydrating and soothing but it doesn't help much in speeding up the acne clearing process. i think the MBD aloe works better in soothing acne than this one.
again, an okay mask from naruko that i've tried. i truly have high hopes in these masks, but so far i only have standard result. i think i won't repurchase anything for now, but it's a good mask. if you love naruko, you should try this. again, we couldn't find lots of naruko stuff here so nearest place to buy naruko stuff is in singapore. you can buy this online, but as usual, the price will be higher. i think all skin types especially problematic skin might benefited from this mask, but for super dry skin, i don't think it's hydrating or moisturizing enough. but again, it has fragrance and alcohol, so make sure you check the complete ingredients list before purchasing.
