  • About me
i tried to like body scrub, but somehow it feels too harsh on my skin. i tried to buy smaller size in different variant so i can finish it, but still.. i don't like it either. so i decided to try body polish. i remember i once saw that body shop has a body polish and they said it's less harsh than the body scrub. i was going to get it on my birthday, but somehow i missed it and forgot to get one while i managed to get others. so when i was feeling down, i decided to get the peeling gel and this body polish. unfortunately there are only two variants, so i pick the strawberry one as i'm sure i'm okay with the scent.

this is the description from their website: smooth and soften your skin as you gently buff away dead skin cells with our strawberry body polish. your skin will feel more silky-soft and nourished with long lasting moisture. body exfoliator, gently refines skin, skin feels softer and smoother. cold-pressed strawberry seed oil, honey sourced from ethiopia.
the tube
the packaging: i bought this straight from the store, so it comes in a big squeeze tube with a black plastic flip top. it's transparent so i can see the product from the outside. there's a label at the back with description in indonesian and the complete ingredients list as well. it comes in 200 ml which is quite a big size considering last time i bought a small size of body scrub. let's hope i could finish this one.
description at the back
the scent: it smells like a sweet candy. i think the scent is similar to other strawberry body product from body shop. personally i don't mind with the scent. so far i like all strawberry body products from the body shop.
how it looks like on my hand
the product: it's a scrub mixed in a gel. reddish transparent gel with red scrub bits. it spreads easily. i use body brush to apply it on my back and other body parts. the scrub is not as harsh as the usual body scrub that i used before, so i think i'd be okay with this one.
after spreading it around
the result: well, it does what it's supposed to do. and it doesn't feel harsh on my skin. obviously it feels rough, but it's normal for a scrub. but it doesn't hurt as much as before. afterward, my skin feels soft and smooth. and a bit moisturized, but not super moist like the shea butter variation that i tried before.
fresh skin afterward
i hope i can finish this one on time. i like how it comes in a tube and in gel form as it's easy to squeeze it out of the tube and spread it on my body, so i guess using it regularly wouldn't be as difficult as before. if you're looking for a body scrub product that's not so harsh, then you should try the body polish. it comes in two variations, the strawberry and on orange one. just pick the one that you like the scent better. price wise, body shop might be a bit expensive, but they often have sales, and you can bring the bottles back for points. they're also cruelty free if you're into that sorts of things. as for me, let's see if i could finish the whole bottle before repurchasing.
i always have a thing for blush and eyeshadow palette. mainly because i'm attracted to colors. i can resist buying other makeup items, but not for blush and eyeshadow. but i'm getting better since i track my stash now. i decided not to buy anything until i finish or declutter one. anyway, lately i've been attracted to cream/liquid blush rather than powder blush. but i still can't let go of my MUR blush palette. so i decided to just buy one cushion blush for now. i was hesitating on which shade to pick from, but husband gave me suggestion and i decided to get capri for now.

this is the description from their website: our radiant cushion blush is a cushion type blusher that will make your cheeks naturally blushing with satin finish. it comes with 5 shades that have buildable and blendable formula for natural glowing skin. it's vegan, halal, and made it without harsh chemicals. perfect choice for your on the go routines!
lightly touch the cushion with the puff and gently tap it on your cheeks. you can use it on your eyes and lips. shades options: capri, positano, venice, santorini, ravello.
the box
seal on the box
the packaging: it comes in a colored box, they color coded it according the shades, so for capri, it's orange. they don't put special seal on the box, just clear tape. inside, you can see small round shiny gold cushion pact. they put the name of the shade at the back. they cover the top of the pact with plastic so it would still pristine when you received it. however, since it's reflective, it's easy to leave fingerprints on it and soon enough it would be dirty. inside there's a small mirror covered in another plastic and then the puff on top part of the cushion. somehow the lock is a bit failed. after couple uses, it doesn't close properly, so you might want to secure it when you bring it for travelling. they seal the cushion with sticker at first, but once you peel it, you can see ordinary cushion sponge underneath the plastic separator. only this time it's colored. however, i don't know how much product is inside the cushion since there's no information on the box nor the website.
the cushion pact
shade label at the back
the shades: there are 5 colors to choose from. capri is coral orange, positano is plum berry, venice is bright red, santorini is pink, and ravello is nude brown. mine is coral orange. on their website, there's no help in choosing the shade. i tell you the color on the website is a bit different than in real life. their instagram doesn't help either. i know that the shades might vary from person to person, but it's quite different for each shade, so i can't be sure about it. i want to get the venice at first but i changed my mind and get the capri. i just hope it doesn't lean toward orange too much since it doesn't look good on me. when i received it, i was shocked that i looks toward bright orange. thankfully, it doesn't look too orange on my face. it's a coral alright, but not bright orange fortunately.
the puff and the mirror inside
how the cushion looks like inside
the product: i thought it is a liquid blush in cushion format, but i read somewhere that it's actually a gel blush. i guess it's better since liquid would be too runny and then it would be harder to blend. while gel blush, you only need a tiny bit and then it would be easier to blend. with this cushion blush, i only dab a little bit on the cushion and then blend it with the puff right away. i do one cheek and then proceed to the other as it sets quite quickly.
hand swatch
how it looks like on my face
the result: the color payoff is really good. since i'm pretty fair, i have to be careful and use only tiny amount and blend it well before adding more. for capri, it gives me peachy-coral look, quite vibrant but after putting powder on top, the color blends nicely to my skin. it gives me fresh look. it gives satin finish, more toward matte, but i always set my face with powder anyway. the longevity i can't be sure since i don't use makeup as long as i've used to be, but it stays well for 2-3 hours, so i guess as long as you set it, it would stay put.

i have to say i'm pretty happy with my first purchase. if i ever need to purchase other blush, i would certainly repurchase this in other shades. maybe something cooler in tone. i like how easy it is to use, how practical yet the color pay off is pretty good. especially if you're a beginner and don't have many brushes, this would be a good option since you can blend it with puff. much easier than blending with brush in my opinion. price wise, it's slightly more expensive than other single blushes that i had, but considering now it's a hard time for business, they often hold sales. just wait until they have big sales to snatch some for yourself. esqa is vegan, cruelty free and halal, so another plus point for esqa.
aside from their moisture bomb line, i also interested in their skin'o'tic line. the skin'o'tic line only has two products, the water essence and the moisturizer gel. i wanted to try both of them but i have lots of moisturizer in my stash, so only the water essence for now. the key star in the skin'o'tic line is probiotic, which last years became booming in skincare world. suddenly so many brands came up with probiotic skincare products. so far i've tried japanese emulsion that contains probiotic and some of first lab products (their essence, serum and face wash). so far all of them just okay, not mind blowing for me, so let's see how it goes with this one.

this is the description from their website: designed with advanced and featherweight form of probiotic and fomes officinalis extract which helps tighten skin and pores. this probiotic essence water deeply infuses it with all benefits extracted from the "good bacteria" lactobacillus ferment lysate, activated and boosts skin's natural moisture. completed with double-hya, combination of sodium hyaluronate & hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid gives an extra hydration and disguise fine wrinkles. leave the skin looks smooth, plump, and happier.
free from paraben, sulphate, alcohol, silicone, mineral oil, SLS, artificial colorant. solution for uneven texture, pores, elasticity.
key ingredients:
- fomes officinalis (mushroom) extract: natural astringent to tighten the pores while brings back skin moisture.
- lactobacillus ferment lysate: keep maintaining and protecting skin barrier.
- aloe vera: effectively hydrated and soothes skin.
- peach extract: great source of vitamin c to neutralize free radicals.
ingredients list: aqua (water), glycerin, propylene glycol, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, phenoxyethanol, butylene glycol, fomes officinalis (mushroom) extract, chlorphenesin, sodium citrate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, disodium EDTA, maltodextrin, citric acid, sodium hyaluronate, parfum (fragrance), lactobacillus ferment lysate, hydrolyzed collagen, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, prunus persica (peach) fruit extract, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) fruit extract.
the box
back of the box
the packaging: it comes in transparent plastic box. they seal the top part with sticker just like the moisture bomb toner. description at the back of the box in english and indonesian as well as ingredients list on the side. the bottle itself is a frosted plastic bottle which has transparent outer layer and peach inner layer. since it has double wall, i can't see the remaining product inside. you can see the name of the product and brand at front and a bit description at the back. it only comes in 50 ml but they make the bottle very tall so it's very deceiving. you might think it contains more since it has the taller than the 100 ml toner bottle, but in fact it only has 50 ml. it has pump head that's covered with frosted plastic cap. the cap is not quite secure. after few uses, somehow the cap became looser so i have to remember not to lift the bottle by pulling the cap but the body of the bottle.
ingredients list
sticker label to seal the box
the scent: as listed, it has added fragrance. and since it also contains peach extract, they use peach scent for this water essence. the scent is quite noticeable but not as fragrant as the moisture bomb toner. so if i have to pick, i like the scent of this water essence better. but still, if you're sensitive to fragrance or you avoid fragrance in your skincare, then scratch this from your buying list.
the bottle beside the box
description at the back of the bottle
pump head
the product: this is a watery essence. looks like water and feels like water. very runny like water as well. i was surprised when i first used this. i thought this was toner. but then again, FTE are also runny like toner. they say to use 2 pumps, but i use 3 pumps for my whole face and neck. looking at the ingredients list, it contains lots of hydrating and moisturizing agents, like glycerin, butylene glycol, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, and also aloe as soothing agent. though they say it contains peach extract that is rich in vitamin c, it comes almost at the end of the ingredients list, so i doubt that it's powerful enough.
the essence on my hand
after patted it down
the result: i've tried using this before and after toner. since my toner right now it's quite moisturizing, i like using this before toner, just like FTE. this essence is super watery and lightweight, so it gives my skin hydration boost just like FTE. then the toner would add some more hydration and moisture on top of it. if i use it after toner, i don't feel anything as the toner is heavier than the essence. however, once i pat this all in, it leaves matte finish.

basically, this essence just adds hydration to my skin, but it does nothing else. however, this one is really lightweight. since i add toner after using the essence, i don't need to layer it. but if you don't add something else, you might want to layer it. for me, this essence doesn't do much for me. i don't feel the difference between this and a hydrating toner, so i might not repurchase this one. but if you're interested in probiotic skincare products from a local brand, then you might want to try this. i think it would be okay for oily and combination skin, but definitely not enough for dry skin. they also have this in a set with the cream, so if you want to use them all in a routine, you might want to get the set as they all come in full size.
this is the last from blithe pressed serum deluxe sample that i'm going to try. i've tried the other three, and even though i haven't tried this one yet, i know that i'm going to like this when i tried swatching it. let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: the iceplant contains rich zinc and minerals that produce collagen. it calms the skin by relieving stress, and provides moisture to skin for soft and fresh skin.
from cnfstore: crystal iceplant pressed serum soothes and moisturizes your skin, suitable for oily skin. the iceplant that forms a bladder cell to survive in the desert, and stores various minerals, nutrients, and water contains rich zinc for collagen and beta carotin, excellent for anti-oxidant. upon applying to your skin, it present freshness to soothe the skin heated-up by UV and make your skin fresh and moisturizing without greasing.
ingredients list: mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract (63%), water, butylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, glycereth-26, bis-PEG-18 methyl ether dimethyl silane, cyclohexasiloxane, saccharomyces/viscum album (mistletoe) ferment extract, lactobacillus/soybean ferment extract, saccharomyces/imperata cylindrica root ferment extract, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, polyglutamic acid, selaginella tamariscina extract, cuscuta australis seed extract, houttuynia cordata extract, eucalyptus globulus leaf extract, pueraria lobata root extract, ulmus davidiana root extract, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) flower extract, pinus palustris leaf extract, melia azadirachta leaf extract, melia azadirachta flower extract, coccinia indica fruit extract, solanum melongena (eggplant) fruit extract, amber powder, curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, ocimum sanctum leaf extract, moringa pterygosperma seed oil, corallina officinalis extract, candida bombicola/glucose/methyl rapeseedate ferment, argania spinosa kernel oil, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, citrus aurantifolia (lime) oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, juniperus mexicana oil, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower oil, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer, polyurethane-39, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, allantoin, dimethicone crosspolymer, potassium hydroxide, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA.
the box of deluxe set
description at the back
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in a colorful cardboard box and very informative. you can see the picture of all four pressed serums at front. when you open the box, you can see window-like presentation and each window has a deluxe sample inside. at the back of the box, there's short description in english with ingredients list for all four deluxe samples. inside, there's a card with short description in english and korean. the deluxe sample looks exactly like the full size version. it comes in a grey frosted plastic tub with dark grey screw cap. the tub is see through so since the serum is blue, it looks bluish from outside. there's a plastic cover inside so the pressed serum doesn't come in contact with air when you open the cap. it comes in 20 ml each, which i think quite decent size for sample.
what you see when you open the lid
the card. this is the korean part. flip it and you can see the english part on the back
the scent: this one smells fresh, like the ocean. again, i might be wrong since i can't describe scent, but it's subtle so it doesn't bother me at all. but if you are sensitive to fragrance or you have sensitive nose, you might want to avoid it.

the tub
the product: this is a bluish-gel type serum. compared to all four, this is the thinnest. somehow it reminds me of nature republic watery aqua gel cream. it's easy to spread around and it changes into watery traces. this feels cooling on my skin as well.
the plastic separator
how it looks like
the result: this one is very lightweight so it absorbed pretty quickly into my skin. afterward, there's no tacky feeling. since it's quite lightweight, i feel that it gives hydration rather than moisture.
how it looks like on my hand
after being absorbed
i was right about this one. this one is cooling and lightweight. perfect to add hydration to my skin. it doesn't feel sticky afterward either. i think it will perfect for oily and combination skin. oh, i forgot to tell you that i use this as moisturizer instead of serum, so i use this at the end of my routine. all pressed serums are used as moisturizer in my routine. for dry skin, i think you can get away with using this in the serum slot and added something thicker to seal the moisture. now, since i've tried all four, i would say that the crystal iceplant and the velvet yam are my favorites, tundra chaga is next and the least is the apricot one. i think crystal iceplant is perfect for in the morning or afternoon as it's cooling and lightweight, while velvet yam is more suitable for night time for me. if they were on sale, i would definitely purchase crystal iceplant and velvet yam.
i bought the deluxe sample set of blithe pressed serum because i've been interested in them. i didn't want to spend my money on the full size one without knowing which one to choose, so the deluxe set is a perfect solution for me. i can try them all first then deciding which one i like better. so far i've tried the velvet yam and the tundra chaga. i was worried about the gold apricot because it has balmy texture, but i don't like to waste things that i bought, so here we go.

this is the description from cnfstore website: a serum that deeply hydrates and brightens with 31 percent apricot to give skin a flawless glow. this unique balm melts into skin, sealing in hydration to create a glass skin effect of dewy, poreless, and translucent. apricot extract brightens skin, while the natural oils nourish it. antioxidant-rich berry extracts and turmeric soothe and protect skin creating a perfectly primed canvas for makeup.
key ingredients:
apricot extract - help to brightens skin.
turmeric - brightens and soothes skin.
love fruit oil - nourishes and hydrates skin.
ingredients list: prunus armeniaca (apricot) fruit extract, glycerin, dipropylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, undecane, tridecane, 1,2- hexanediol, cetyl alcohol, niacinamide, dimethicone, PEG-100 stearate, cetearyl olivate, dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate/hexastearate/ hexarosinate, betaine, butylene glycol, sorbitan olivate, panthenol, vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract, rubus idaeus (raspberry) fruit extract, rubus fruticosus (blackberry) fruit extract, fragaria chiloensis (strawberry) fruit extract, euterpe oleracea fruit extract, c14-22 alcohols, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, citrus nobilis (mandarin orange) peel oil, palmitic acid, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer, stearic acid, C12-20 alkyl glucoside, xanthan gum, citrus limon (lemon) peel oil, melia azadirachta leaf extract, melia azadirachta flower extract, curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, PEG-150 distearate, disodium EDTA, ocimum sanctum leaf extract, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil, corallina officinalis extract, myristic acid, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, dimethiconol, water, tocopherol, candida bombicola/glucose/methyl rapeseedate ferment, argania spinosa kernel oil.

the tub
the product: i have to say the description from the website is really spot on. it's yellowish balmy pressed serum. it's quite thick. but it's easy to spread around. like once you spread it and warm it with your finger, it melts into your skin. it gives a nice slip and doesn't feel too tacky afterward.

the result: as moisturizer, of course it seals well all the products underneath. it gives me glowy finish before i went to bed. and the next morning when i wash my face, i can feel a layer of moisture left behind before being washed off by foam. since i've been experiencing breakouts up until now, i've been using my ufo regularly. and i don't need to use mask since this balm pressed serum is quite slippery so the ufo can glide all over my face nicely. afterward, the ufo helps the product sinks in to my skin. better than just massaging it with my hands. however, since i also use several products that contains brightening ingredients, i can't say for sure about the brightening effect. but i can say that all that products must work since i can see my skin clearer as time goes by even though there's breakouts here and there.
how it looks like on my hand

this is the third pressed serum that i try. and if i have to rank it from my favorite to my least favorite, this would be my least favorite. not because it's bad, but because it's balmy texture. it's quite thick. for now, it's still okay since i use acne spot treatment and retinol that might drying to my skin so the balm pressed serum counter the drying effect. however, if i'm not using actives and i use heavier serum, this might be too much for my skin. a little update: my skin has been acting up lately. even though i've used acne treatment, somehow new acne keeps popping up here and there. so i decided to drop this pressed serum. i'm guessing now that i'm off retinol, it is too rich for me. after a few days, i notice i don't get cystic acne as fast as i used to, and the old ones are recovering as well. i would say if you have super dry skin or live in winter area, then this balm texture would be perfect for you. but if you have combination to oily skin and live in tropical or hot humid countries, this balm texture could be too much and too rich for you. this is why i like a deluxe sample. you get enough amount to test whether you like the product or not before deciding which one to buy in full size. as for me, i won't repurchase the full size, but maybe other variants. for now, blithe is sold at cnfstore and they often has sales. you can also find this on other online shops. price wise, full size is pretty expensive, and if it's on sale, make sure to check the expiry date. mine is close enough. it would expire at the end of this year, that's why i have to hurry and use them up. now it's only the crystal iceplant to use.
i wanted to buy mini milk makeup bronzer or nudestix bronzer, but somehow i never got the courage to do so. they are so expensive. the mini milk makeup is often sold out so it's hard to get even through pre order. i almost bought fenty beauty instead, but i resisted the urge and put it on hold. then i saw runa beauty moonflush. they have this one shade that leans toward brownish nude, and on several swatches, it looks like a good shade for bronzing, so i thought maybe i could use it as cream bronzer instead of blush. i was hesitating between runa and rose all day, but i read that runa gives matte finish while rose all day gives glowy finish thus not so long wearing. so i decided to go with runa for now.

this is the description from their website: a unique cream-to-powder blush that offers a satin healthy finish. the remarkably soft and lightweight formulation feels silk upon application, ensuring a soft-focus, natural seamless result. the non-waxy texture will not break through makeup and clog pores, making it an excellent touch-up tool for use throughout the day. enriched with skin-loving ingredients: sweet almond oil to hydrate and retain moisture, vitamin e to strengthen and soothe skin barrier function. moonflush comes in five buildable shades you can use on your cheeks, eyes, lips, nose - anywhere you want a little extra flush.
how to use: with fingertips or blush brush, gently apply to the apples of the cheeks, blending up and outward toward the hairline. gently tap into the skin for flawless blending.
what else you need to know: vegan, halal, and cruelty free, BPOM certified.
what it is formulated without: parabens, sulfates, phthalates, BHT/BHA, fragrance.
shades: artemis, lyra, juno, aries, maia.
the box
ingredients list at the back
the packaging: it comes in a peachy pink box that is uniquely folded so they don't need to secure it with tape. on the inside fold, you can read a bit description, and surprisingly, it's written "juno" which means each shades has different box. i received the package at the same time as the haum one. both of them don't use any plastic bubble to secure the product and just use regular cardbox. i received the package at the same time as haum, and both of them are not using any bubble wrap to secure the product. both are totally less waste. however, runa added a seed card. you can plant the card, however, i haven't tried it yet. the blush itself comes in shiny gold round pact, similar to esqa. there's a tiny mirror inside. compared to esqa, this one is thinner because it's a cream blush, there's no added space because of the puff (esqa is a cushion blush). the interesting thing is runa used a magnetic closure and it's quite secure, so thumbs up for that. it comes in 4 gram size which is a decent size for a cream blush. if you have some of these, you can read the shades at the sticker on the back of the pact.
look, it's juno! if you open the fold, you'd see some constellation printed on it
the pact
the shade: there are five shades to choose from, ranging from lighter one like maia (pink) and lyra (peach) to nude (juno) and deeper tone like artemis and aries. mine is juno. they described it as a warm toffee nude. on the pan it looks a bit reddish brown.
how it looks like on the pan
(you can see my fingerprint when i'm making some swatch, it looks a bit powdery, doesn't it?)
the product: they say that it's a cream to powder blush. however, when i try to swatch the blush, it's not as creamy as my canmake cream blush. it's pretty hard to swatch. and it becomes a bit crumbly if i swirl my finger on the pan. like there's not enough slip on the pan, a bit dry. if i have to compare it, it feels like dry clay. it doesn't have any added fragrance so it smells like clay as well. they say you can use it with finger or brush. since i use this as bronzer, i only use brush to apply it.
hand swatch
how it looks like on my face
the result: as i've said, this is a bit dry so you have to work quickly to blend it as it sets into powder quickly. with finger, you have to work in a small area before moving on. with brush, it's quicker to blend since brush has bigger surface than my finger. the pigmentation is enough, but it's blendable. it stays matte after it's set. i always use this before powder and i always set my whole face with powder. since this sets into powder, i don't think it's necessary to set it with powder, but i just do it out of habit. longevity, i think it will stay put longer than other cream blush, but i can't be sure since i don't use makeup as long as i used to. color wise as bronzer, on my skin this looks a bit orange than my usual bronzer but since it's blendable, it doesn't show as bad. but i have to be careful or it will look muddy on me if i used too much.

that being said, this is a good cream blush if you have oily skin. shade options are quite okay for now. they have lighter shades, nude and deeper ones, so i bet you can pick one for your taste. for dry skin, you should try it yourself, or at least use moisturizing base. for me, though this is okay for bronzer, i don't think i'll repurchase the shade for bronzer as it looks a bit orange on me but maybe i'll purchase other shade as a cream blush. price wise, it's a bit expensive, but they often have sales, so maybe you want to wait until it's on sale.
i'm taking a break from vitamin c serum for now, mainly because i don't know what to try from local brand. i've tried FSS vitamin c and i don't like it, so for not i think i'll try arbutin serums. i see that there are several brands have arbutin serum in their line up. for now, i'm trying nutrishe. i don't know about nutrishe before, and it's understandable as they don't have quite extensive products line up as other skincare brands. i think they only have one serum, one face wash, one lash serum, and a body care and a haircare. however, i saw good feedback from @agustine.gozali so i decided to give it a try.

this is the description from their website: nutrishe intensive bright & glow serum is a lightweight serum contains alpha arbutin that helps minimize dark spot, uneven skin, reduce dull skin and brighten the skin. this serum also infused with brown seaweed (algae) extract that contains protein to supply skin cell with extra hydration for glowing skin. another ingredient in this serum is centella asiatica known as healing ingredient. it helps to strengthen skin barrier, acne-fighting, hydrating and soothing.
ingredients (it's weird that the official website doesn't listed the ingredients, so i get this from skincarisma instead): aqua, cyclopentasiloxane, alpha-arbutin, cystoseira tamariscifolia extract, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, jania rubens extract, lactobacillus ferment, centella asiatica extract, licorice root extract, dipotassium glyzirrhinate, butylene glycol, glycerin, sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate, polyacrylamide, phenoxyethanol, allantoin, isoparaffin, laureth-7, fragrance, tetrasodium EDTA.

the packaging: it comes in a cream-colored box with description in english as well as ingredients list on the side of the box. they put plastic sealing around the box, so they don't seal the top of the box. the bottle is frosted glass bottle with simple label that has similar vibe as the box. the bottle is transparent so you can see the remaining product from outside. they use dropper to dispense the product. it comes in 30 ml size.

the scent: this one has added fragrance as stated in the ingredients list as well. i have to say the scent is quite fragrant, floral scent, but not super strong. i kind of used to is after couple uses. but if you're sensitive to fragrance or you have sensitive skin, definitely skip this as the scent is noticeable.
how it looks like on my hand
after blending it in
the product: the serum is yellowish. if i have to compared it with something familiar, i would say that it's breastmilk-colored serum. it's something in between haple la luna and avoskin retinol serum. it's quite runny but not as runny as haple la luna serum. it has a bit slip so it's easy to spread around. i thought this serum only contains alpha arbutin as brightening ingredients, but it also contains ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (vitamin c derivative that not potent but very stable so you won't need to worry about oxidation hence the frosted bottle and not dark bottle) as well as licorice root extract and lactobacillus ferment. it also contains a bunch of moisturizing agents like BG, glycerin, sodium PCA and sodium hyaluronate. it's also contains soothing ingredients like centella and allantoin. i use roughly half dropper for my whole face and neck.

the result: after completely absorbed, i can immediately feel the moisture it gives. like there's a coat of moist layer on top of my skin, but not like sitting on top of my skin, if you know what i'm talking about. i use this in the morning and it's perfect since my morning routine is quite simple, toner-serum and emulsion. and this one gives added moisture that my skin needs. now let's talk about progress. on my face, you can see that it works well in fading acne scars. my overall tone is brighter as well. if i have to say, bye-bye dull face would be suitable. however, when you look at my feet photos, you can see that there's barely any progress. i use other brightening products on my face, while on my feet, i only use the serum and body butter.

so, if you're looking for evening out your skin tone, fading acne scars and getting rid of dull skin, then this is a good choice for that. however, if you're planning to brighten your skin tone literally, this might not be powerful enough. maybe it would work, but it might need more time. anyway, i don't buy this only for brightening my face, fading acne scars is enough, so i'm quite satisfied with this. it's easier to get since it's available in some online shops. price wise it's still affordable too. this is my first time trying arbutin. if you're looking for brightening serum but don't want to deal with oxidation from vitamin c or irritation from niacinamide, then you might want to consider arbutin. i think this will be suitable for all skin types, but if you have dry skin, you might need to add something else. as for me, i'll putting this in my repurchase list.
