ever since i found elsheskin moisturizer, i became excited in finding other local lightweight moisturizer. i've switched to emulsion for several years now for daytime moisturizer. but since i found elsheskin, i'm excited to try gel type moisturizer for daytime again. actually i wanted to buy the hyped studio tropik one, but it was sold out when i placed my order. but then, the next day, it was restocked! but i've already made my purchases and bought hale and true to skin one, so until i finished them, i'll have to postpone buying studio tropik one. anyway, i decided to crack open the hale one. it's been in the market for quite some time now but i never get around to try it. anyway, let's try it.

description and ingredients list at the back |
the packaging: it comes in a white/blue box with description at the back in both english and indonesian. there's also ingredients list at the back in english. the moisturizer itself comes in a white plastic rectangular tube with light blue screw cap with another short description at the back of the bottle. it comes in 40 g which is slightly more than usual moisturizer size (30ml). many people grunts at the packaging since the plastic is quite thick so they can't cut it to get the remaining product around the neck of the spout. and the rectangular shape makes it even harder for the product to go down the spout completely. since the bottle is not see through, i can't predict how much product is left.

the scent: this one is scentless but it doesn't smell weird. luckily my serum smells nice, or my routine will be boring. anyway, scentless means good thing for sensitive skin or those who's sensitive to scent.

the spout to dispense the product |
the product: the moisturizer is a cloudy white gel type moisturizer. it's thick compared to my previous elsheskin moisturizer. however, it's still spreadable. and after I spread it around, it melts. it takes a few minutes to be absorbed into the skin.
the product on my hand |
after patted it in |
the result: this one is definitely more moisturizing than my previous elsheskin, which is not surprising as this one is thicker in texture. however, it works well with my other skincare and it doesn't pill even thought being layered.
even though this one is targeted for combination to oily skin, i don't think it will work well when the weather is hot and humid. on rainy days, it's still okay for me, but on hot and humid days, i can see my face melts under the heat. you can guess that i still like the elsheskin more. this one might be more suitable for normal skin. as for the price, it's still affordable considering the size is a little bit more than usual moisturizer. i won't repurchase mainly because i have other moisturizer in mind that i want to try first. hale can be bought through their official channels or via sociolla and other online market.
