  • About me
yes, i'm on makeup buying streak because i finally ditched my expired makeup. and when i did my purchase carefully, i realized that i never bother to bring my eyeshadow palette whenever i go travelling. so i decided to buy another eyeshadow stick at first. but there's no affordable options that i like. but then i found this liquid eyeshadow from allglows and i'm hooked. so i decided to buy two of them, one matte (which is haze and you can read it here), and the other one is the shimmer one in dawn which i will talk about here.
the packaging
this is the description from their official tokopedia store: allglows shimmer lid pigment is a creamy liquid eyeshadow that provides intense-color that can be beautifully blended by fingers. it contains mineral powder to absorb excess oil on lids to provide all day long staying power and waterproof. non-tacky and smudge-proof with subtle shimmer finish.
dawn is rich champagne.
left: shade name on the box
right: description and ingredients list at the back
the packaging: the box is the same as the liquid blush, which is hard to open so i ended up tearing it all apart just to get the tube out. so yeah, please change the box. anyway, the packaging of the new liquid eyeshadow is the same as the liquid blush one, except the color. this one is light peach while the liquid blush one is darker pink. the material is exactly the same, feels a bit rubbery on my touch. there's the shade name at the bottom. it comes in 5,6 g which is much more than the old packaging one. the doe foot is also similar to the cheek pigment one, similar to lipgloss doe foot applicator.
the lid pigment tube
the color: there are 6 new shades that came out on their second release, probably already in new packaging. there are cloud, dawn, rust, dusk, soil, sunset. soil and cloud are mattes, but the rest are shimmers. i picked dawn which is a rich champagne. it's pretty neutral shade for shimmer shade that it's good to be paired with other shades.
doe foot applicator
the product: it's a liquid eyeshadow and it's quite pigmented. a little goes a long the way. the consistency is just right. it's runny enough so it's easy to spread around but not too runny that it goes dripping from the wand. i can use my finger to tap it and blend it or use my brush and the result will be the same.
arm swatches: swipe boldly and blended
(the ones on the right is haze)
the result: just like the matte one, it blends easily. the shimmer is not overly dramatic so it's perfect for daily. once it's dried, it sets and doesn't budge. i haven't tested it yet, but they said that it's waterproof (update: i've tried the waterproof test and you really have to let it dry for it to be totally smudgeproof). as for longevity, i can't say for sure, but i've put it on my eyes for around 3 hours or so under hot days and it didn't budge.
waterproof testing: it won't budge after it's set
but if you don't let it dry first, it will smudge
yeah, i'm very happy with my purchase and i'll bring it when i'm travelling. i do hope that i can finish it as it's a waste to let it expired before finishing it. price wise, it's affordable since i bought it on sale and i think this shade is suitable for all skin tone. i would repurchase this if i ever finish it. price wise, they're on sale so it's affordable. however, aside form their official marketplaces and sociolla, i don't see them anywhere else.
i'm in a phase where i like one shade eye shadow, especially when i'm travelling. i don't bother bringing eye brushes with me, especially since i'm travelling with 3 kids. i have to do my makeup quickly. i used to have stick eyeshadows but they were all expired, and the stick eyeshadows available here are the laura mercier one which are pricey. i rarely used up an eyeshadow stick, so no thank you. then i stumbled across allglows and their lid pigment interest me. so i bought two, one matte and one shimmer. actually i was torn between haze or woodrose, but i was afraid that woodrose would appear too mauvey and might not cater all my outfit, so i pick haze instead.

this is the description from their official tokopedia page: allglows lid pigment is a creamy matte liquid eyeshadow that provides intense color that can be beautifully blended by fingers. it contains mineral powder to absorb excess oil on lids to provide all day long staying power and waterproof.
haze is pale mauve brown.
the packaging
description on the box
the packaging: somehow, the matte ones still in their old packaging, but i'm not complaining. the old packaging comes in a transparent plastic box with description at the back and the shade name on top of the box. the liquid eyeshadow comes in a transparent acrylic tube with black plastic cap. it has bath box name printed on one side, and then allglows lid pigment on the other side. shade name label at the bottom. if you didn't know, allglows is the sister brand or bathbox and bloomka. that's why it has bathbox name printed on the body. the wand is similar to lipgloss wand only shorter but the doe foot is flatter and very bendable. it comes in 2 g, which is less than the newer one. i don't know whether it's the net weight or with the packaging as well. let's hope i can finish this one as well since it's not that much.
shade name on top
the lid pigment
the color: for the matte finish, there are 5 shades to choose from, sand, woodrose, haze, slit, canyon. mins is haze which is mauve brown. you can see the hint of mauve but not as mauvey as the woodrose.
doe foot applicator
the product: this is a liquid eyeshadow so it's exactly what it is. it's runny enough to spread around, but not too runny that it's dripping from the wand. this is very pigmented so one tiny dot is enough for my whole lid. i can use brush or finger to spread it around.
arm swatch
the result: once it's set, it turns powdery and doesn't budge. it's waterproof as well, so rest assure that your makeup won't budge. the colors turn out okay for daily for me so i'm glad i pick this one. though if i can be picky, i actually eyed the sand more as daily color, but haze works okay for me for now. i don't know how long this one lasts, but i used this during my son's graduation photoshoot and it was quite hot, but the eyeshadow stays put.
waterproof testing: once it's set, it won't budge
but if you didn't let it dry (like the one on the left), it will smudge
how it looks like on my lid
totally like this one. will bring this with me while travelling since i'm lazy to pack eyeshadow brush. plus it's quicker to just use one shade for my whole lid. let's hope this time i can finish it since i don't want to waste product before its expiry date. price wise, it's affordable. i just wish they expand the color selection. some is out of stock, but probably they will restock it in new packaging, but who knows? if you can get it, get it while it's still available.
as i've said in my other post, i'm impressed with true to skin that i keep trying their products. unfortunately, they don't have many products in their line, so i decided to try their bakuchiol serum. they only have 3 serums, the other two are the hyaluronic and the niacinamide. i don't see any difference with using hyaluronic acid, and i think my skin doesn't like niacinamide, thus leaving me with bakuchiol. i've heard about it as retinol replacement, but since i don't have problem with retinol, somehow i don't feel the urge to try bakuchiol. but then i read that if your skin can take it, you can use both, so i think why not? after all, i'm trying new retinoid serum, and it's less potent than the previous one, so let's just try it.
the box
this is the translated description from their website: the first local bakuchiol serum boosted with PHA, probiotics, 7 seed bean complex. bakuchiol is a natural alternative of retinol, which is safe and gentle for sensitive skin and teen, pregnant and nursing mother. our bakuchiol serum is formulated to be fast-absorbing, helps anti aging, recovers skin barrier, brighten and increases collagen production.
ingredient list: aqua, methyl propanediol, butylene glycol, PPG-13- decyltetradeceth-24, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene glycol-8/5/3 glycerin, lactobionic acid, polysorbate 20, bakuchiol, triethanolamine, phenoxyethanol, allantoin, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, phaseolus radiatus seed extract, canavalia gladiata seed extract, glycine soja seed extract, lens esculenta (lentil) seed extract, ceratonia siliqua seed extract, pueraria lobata rood extract, lactobacillus ferment lysate filtrate, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, daucus carota extract, hibiscus sabdariffa extract.
description and ingredients list on the box
the packaging: it comes in lilac and white combination box with description both in indonesian and english as well as ingredients list printed at the back. the serum itself comes in cloudy glass bottle with the same color label as the box and it uses dropper to dispense the product. the bottle is see through so you can see the remaining product from the outside. anyway, looking from their pictures, the serum looks slightly orangish, while mine isn't. i don't know what caused the difference. the serum comes in 20 ml which is slightly less than usual serum size. but looks like most local brand use 20 ml size for their serums.
the bottle
the scent: i don't think this is scented. luckily, it doesn't smell foul either. i have no problem with the scent.
how it looks like inside the dropper
the product: like i said, on their pictures, the serum leans toward orangish, while mine is just a bit yellowish. as you can see in the picture, inside the dropper, it even looks almost transparent. this is my first time using bakuchiol (aside from the sample i got from somethinc), so i don't know how it's supposed to be like. but this serum is quite watery so it's easy to spread around. it's absorbed pretty quickly.
on my hand
the result: once it's absorbed, i can feel it gives moisture to my skin. it feels a bit tacky but not disturbing. i can still put another serum or moisturizer on top of this without any problem. no pilling or anything. i use this in the morning everyday and it works okay. i can see my skin condition is getting better after using this regularly. in fact, in combination with retinol every other day at night, it helps speeding up acne healing. however, for cystic acne, it's still struggling. but i don't experience nasty acne anymore after using this serum. it's not drying as i don't have any problem using it with retinol (though not at the same time). my non problematic area on my face looks glowing since i use this serum.
after spreading it around
in short, i love this serum! see.. everything i tried from true to skin are great! so far, there's nothing that i dislike from their products. definitely recommend you to try it if you're afraid to use retinol or you're still teenager or you're pregnant or nursing. price wise, it's affordable and it's quite easy to find as you can buy it from sociolla aside from their official website/marketplace. as for me, i will try other bakuchiol serum/essence to see which one i like best before drawing any conclusion.
i realized that i didn't have any travel sizes product when i was about to pack for holiday. usually, i have hada labo or kose sekkisei (or sekkisui? - i always forget which one is the drugstore one) travel set, but since it's impossible to go to japan, i've finished mine long time ago. though i have glowincpotion travel set, the items are super tiny that i'm sure it won't be enough for 12 days, so i decided to buy some mini sizes from somethinc, including this toner.

this is the description from their website: 48hr deep hydration lock and nourishment with 9 layers of hyaluronic acid and authentic onsen sui water. discover the freshness of 79% onsen belgium hot spring water and 9 layers of hyaluronic acid, which hydrates the skin to the deepest pores. rich in minerals to provide maximum moisture in every skin's layer, maintain skin elasticity, balance skin pH after exfoliation and prepare skin to absorbs serum and moisturizer maximally. get your fresh and supple skin with somethinc supple power. #supplepower #hydratedeeply.
main ingredients:
- onsen sui: 79% onsen belgium hot spring water - is useful for cleaning skin pores effectively, preventing acne formation and soothes your skin.
- 9 layers of hyaluronic acid - 9 different layers of HA molecules can effectively penetrate every layer of the skin from the inside to the outer layer so that the skin is maximally hydrated.
- chondrus crispus/ carrageenan extract - carrageenan serves to be antioxidants that protect the skin from exposure to UV rays and pollution, help the skin stay hydrated, softens and improves skin texture.
- betaine - the chemical structure of betaine resembles amino acid glycine with three additional methyl groups (called trimethylglycine). the benefits of betaine in skin care include hydrating, soothing, as an anti-inflammatory and anti-aging to skin.
- squalane - it is a lightweight and non comedogenic oil that does not clog pores. functions as natural moisturizing factors (NMF) to maintain skin moisture and does not strip the skin. squalane also functions as an antioxidant that can prevent skin damage when exposed to UV rays, it helps to keep the skin supple, youthful and hydrated.
- niacinamide - is able to maintain skin moisture, maintain oil production, reduce hyperpigmentation, reduce redness and relieve inflamed acne.

ingredients list: onsen sui, water, niacinamide, butylene glycol, 2 hexanediol, dipropylene glycol, chondrus crispus (carrageenan) extract, caprylyl glycol, saccharum officinarum (sugarcane) extract, betaine, sodium citrate, propanediol, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, sodium hyaluronate, citric acide, adenosine, allantoin, hyaluronic acid, plumeria alba (frangipani) flower oil, ehtylhexylglycerin, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, caffeine, PEG-9 diglycidyl ether/sodium hyaluronate, potassium hyaluronate, tocopherol, dimethylsilanol hyaluronate, sodium benzoate.
the bottle
the packaging: okay, i honestly forgot if they put plastic sealing around the bottle or not, but i'm guessing they did since there's no box. the toner comes in green plastic bottle with screw cap. the opening is closed with plastic lid that you can close back up after using the toner, so it's safe to bring with you everywhere. don't worry, i've brought this with me during travelling and it didn't burst or anything. there's description and ingredients list at the back but as usual, the font is too tiny that i didn't even bother to read it. there are 2 sizes, the full size one is 120 ml (which is plenty) and the mini one is 40 ml (again, pretty decent). i used this every day during my 10 days trip, twice a day, and there's still some left when i got home (fyi, i used the glowincpotion set on the plane because they're tiny so i can slip them into my bag).
description at the back as well as ingredients list
the scent: this one is scentless and doesn't have foul scent so it's suitable even for sensitive skin.
look how secure the opening is! perfect for travelling
the product: this is a watery type toner. it looks like water and quite runny like water. however, it doesn't feel like one. it has some weight into it. if i can picture it, try imagine your skin has spaces in between the cells. this toner fills the spaces in between slowly and then after it's full, you can feel your skin is plump and well hydrated. it gives hydration slowly but sure. i can use this in layers, but daily, i use two layers top.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: this toner is definitely hydrating and a bit moisturizing. when i use this during travelling, the weather is pretty cool and windy before getting warmer at the end but still cool at night. usually my skin gets drier around weather like that, but i didn't experience any dryness thanks to my simple but sufficient skincare, including this toner.
after patting it
i can say that i like this toner. it gives enough hydration and a bit moisture that my skin needs. it's not too rich but it's not too watery as well. it's more moisturizing than the muji toner but not as plumping as peachy toner (totally forgot the name). this toner is suitable for all skin types. price wise, it's affordable especially since somethinc often holds sales. if you're not sure, you can always try the mini size before jumping into the full size one. at this point, i will keep buying it if i ever need travel size toner, but for full size, i have other toners that i want to try. but this one is a favorite that i'll put in my rotation list.

since i had good experience with the true to skin moisturizer, i was curious with their other products, so the next one that i tried was their toner/essence. i didn't read any other reviews before buying this one, so it was a blind buy, totally blind. let's see how it goes.

this is translated from their website: mugwort cica soothing and hydrating essence toner formulated with natural ingredients and balanced pH with essence-like texture. with natural ingredients that moisturizes, helps to treat acne, soothes inflamed skin, your skin will be soft and moist with this toner. main ingredients: mugwort, cica, cactus extract.
the bottle
the packaging: the toner didn't come in any box, it just came in the bottle. it's a transparent light green plastic bottle with screw cap. the body is see through so you can see the remaining product inside. there's description at the back in indonesia as well as the ingredients list. they seal the whole bottle with plastic sealing. they also seal the inner opening, so it's completely secure. it comes in 100 ml which is the usual toner size.
description at the back
the scent: i don't think it's scented. however, it doesn't smell unpleasant, which is a good thing considering that it claims that it uses natural ingredients. somehow all natural ingredients can smell unpleasant.
the opening
the product: this is a watery type toner. it looks like water and feels like water. since it's watery, it's easy to absorbed and doesn't leave tacky feeling afterward. once it's absorbed, it gives slight sheen to skin, but nothing to glowy.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: even though this is watery, this packs a punch. it's still lightweight so you can still layer it up to your need. it gives hydration and a bit moisture. it's more moisturizing compared to muji toner, but i think it's comparable to erha essence, somethinc supple toner but not as plumping as studio tropik probiome. if i can describe it, this feels like water that fills your body and then slowly fills it up so you can feel yourself full. i do agree that after using this regularly, i can feel my skin softer and smoother. as for the soothing effect, it's not that recognizable.
after spreading it around
i have to say that this one impresses me as well. i think it's suitable for all skin type, but for dry skin, you might want to layer additional toner or serum. i have to say that even though this is watery type toner, but it certainly not unforgettable. price wise it's affordable. as for availability, i bought this from sociolla, but i think you can find them at their official stores/marketplace as well as some online stores. for me, definitely will repurchase if i ever run out of stuff to try. however, it might take awhile since somethinc just released more products. it's hard to catch up with them, really. anyway, true to skin doesn't have lots of products in their line, but so far, i like them all! hope they can expand their products in the future.
i like their copy paste cushion but it's too dewy for my preference. yes, it'll be just fine if i put powder on top, but still.. then, they released their matte cushion. i was waiting until they released the refill, but until now, there's no refill. so when i finally have to travel again, i decided to buy the matte cushion to try. it'll be perfect for traveling since i only have time to put on makeup in the morning and i'll be out all day until late at night. it's perfect to test its longevity.

this is the description translated from their website: using anti bacterial breathable technology and not easily oxidized even used daily. medium to high coverage that can blur pores and fine lines in one tap and gives long lasting skin matte finish. formulated to be non greasy, non cakey, non cracking, and has oil control, flawless human skin without oil excess will be yours in a blink of eye. flawless skin all day, feels lightweight and protected from the sun, everything in one hooman breathable cushion SPF 35 PA++++. #youronlylimit
comes in 12 shades.
the box
ingredients list at the back
the packaging: it looks just like the copy paste one. the only difference is the color. the compact is bluish, while the copy paste one is greyish. it comes in a box that has the same design as the compact. there's description and shade names on top of the box. inside, you can fine the square plastic compact and when you open it, you can find one cushion puff sealed in a plastic bag, mirror inside the compact and the seal on top of the mesh cushion. just like any other cushion, it only comes in 15 ml.
shade name on top, unfortunately, it's hard to read due to the color contrast
maybe they should consider using black text rather than white
the compact
the color: my pick is perle one. yes, it has the same shade as the copy paste one, so it's easier to juggle between the two. and sadly, now, i threw away my copy paste so i can't take comparison picture. according to their description, perle is for cool fair-light skin tone. it matches my skin perfectly.
puff and mirror inside
mesh cushion
the product: as i've told you, it's a mesh cushion. they put plastic separator between the cushion and the puff and sealed it with sticker at first. you can control the amount of product by controlling the pressure that you put on the mesh. i have to say that the coverage is medium and buildable, but i think i'll still need another concealer to cover my acne scars, but it's okay for my under eyes. but i don't use brightening concealer for under eyes, so my preference might be different from yours.
swatch on my arm
the result: yes, this one is just like promised. it gives matte finish, though i won't say that it's completely matte. more like satin finish, but it's very different from the dewy look that the copy paste gives. it's non greasy and non cakey. i don't find it cracking after all day using it. however, i think it'll rubbed off by my mask at the end of the day. but i have to agree though that it has minimal transferring. i use dark mark during my trip and i don't see any makeup transfer on my mask.
left: before
right: after 1 layer
even skin tone and it covers tiny acne scars but you can still see my mole, so it still looks like my skin
left: before
middle: half/half
right: full face (not completely cover the inflamed acne beside my nose, but it cover the redness)
oh yes, i'll definitely repurchase this one. know i hope that they will release the refill. it's a waste to keep buying the whole compact, don't you think? anyway, if you're looking for a matte finish one, or if you're bored with all the dewy glossy look, you can try this one. price wise, still affordable for me. again, buy on sales if you want to snatch it on a good deal. i know the shade selection is not as wide as western one, but for a local brand, i think it's enough to cater most skin tone. look at me, i can finally find one from local brand!
staying at home has been taking a toll on my sunscreen usage. yep, i'm one of the people that got lazy wearing sunscreen since. yep, not a good habit, so i'm trying to pick up the habit again. i forced myself to use it again every morning. not quite successful, but during the holiday i did. so hopefully after i went back home, i'll still continue the habit. anyway, i got this as sample for GWP, so it's perfect to bring along while traveling. let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: fss weightless sunscreen SPF 50 PA ++++ is a daily water-based sunscreen that is specially formulated to be ultra-lightweight, fast-absorbing with high level protection against UVA and UVB. this sunscreen guards your skin without leaving any white cast or greasiness. the low-irritant formula also makes it suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

ingredients: aqua, butylene glycol, glycerin, dicaprylyl carbonate, dibutyl adipate, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, 1,2-hexanediol, niacinamide, portulaca oleracea extract, ethylhexyl triazone, polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, silica, cetearyl olivate, cetearyl alcohol. sorbitan olivate, centella asiatica extract, methyl glucose sesquistearate, sorbitan stearate, glyceryl stearate, lavandula angustifolia oil, disodium EDTA, adenosine, allantoin, panthenol, caprylyl glycol, tocopherol.

the packaging: since i got this as GWP, the sample/mini size just comes in the tube without any box. i don't know whether the full size comes in box or not. the sample/mini size packaging is the miniature of the full size one. it comes in light yellow beige plastic squeeze tube with a splash of blue on the body. there's a short description at the back. they seal the cap with a sticker. it comes in 7 ml which is quite small for a mini. but luckily it lasts well throughout my trip which is around 10 days. fyi, i just use it in the morning and i use other sunscreen for touching up.
the tube
the scent: this has the usual sunscreen scent, if you know what i mean. it has a bit citrusy or common sunscreen scent. i can smell it since i whiff it up close, but i don't smell it when i put it on my face.
the back of the tube
the product: the sunscreen is a lightweight runny gel type sunscreen. it's thicker compared to my previous skinaqua suncreen. it's easy to spread around and it leaves a bit white cast at first, but as i keep massaging it into my skin, it goes away. now, i have fair skin tone so even if it has permanent white cast, it won't shown on me. so if you have darker skin, please find other darker skin tone reviewer to see how it goes on their skin to be sure.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: this one is definitely moisturizing. since i'm traveling to somewhere cooler than where i live, it works fine over my moisturizer. so my routine throughout my traveling is toner, vitamin c serum, moisturizer then this sunscreen. but back home, i have either to dial down the moisturizer or skip it altogether especially if the weather is too hot. it leaves a bit tacky feeling but it doesn't pill or anything under my makeup. during traveling, my makeup is still intact even though i wear mask most of the time. but here, during mid day, i can see my makeup melt especially around nose area where the skin touches the mask most. as for the protection, it works okay. but i still recommend touching it up though.
after blending it all
i have to say that this is a decent sunscreen. fyi, this is a chemical sunscreen. if you have normal to dry skin, i think it will work better for you rather than for oily skin. but maybe it can work if you skip the moisturizer. anyway, i think i'll try other sunscreen. i still have some sunscreen from my previous japan haul that i need to use up real quick. so, luckily i got this in mini size as i won't purchase the full size for now. price wise, it's still affordable, though azarine one is cheaper. anyway, FSS is a local brand so you can buy them straight from their official website/marketplace or via sociolla.

i don't have any preference regarding lip balm and honestly, i'm not that diligent in using one, but i know better than not using it, especially whenever i'm traveling on spring or fall season. so, i always at least have one in my stash. i usually use body shop vitamin e one that i've been repurchasing for several times now, but i saw about this lip balm when i was about to go to japan, so i figured why not try this one for a change. i don't know that there are few types of them, so i go with the unscented one.

this is the translated description from their website: 100% naturally derived ingredients. organic certified oil lipstick. since it's applied on the lips, it's made only from food grade ingredients such as pesticide free vegetable oil and natural beeswax. moisturizes dry and rough lips. moisturizes and softens your lips.
the packaging
the packaging: it comes in light grey plastic pouch with description at the back in japanese. the lip balm itself comes in similar light grey plastic tube. it's just the usual lip balm packaging, the stick one, and doesn't look like lipstick.
the description at the back
the color/scent: this not tinted and unscented. however, since it's made of all natural stuff, somehow it smells a bit weird. not totally off-putting but still slightly unpleasant.
the tube
the product: the lip balm feels slick compared to the TBS that i used to use. at first i don't like it since it feels a bit oily but then i got used to it. it's moisturizing, maybe a bit more than TBS one. i've used lip balm from bite beauty that feels heavily moisturizing but gives drying after effect. but this one doesn't. it feels moisturizing without the after effect. however, it still feels like there's a film of something on top of my lips, which is a bit weird.
how it looks like
anyway, i'm not regretting trying this one. it definitely moisturizes my lips and since it's unscented, i can use it for my kids as well. i forgot about the price, but i think it's pretty cheap. anyway, i never saw this outside japan, so maybe grab one while you're there. as for me, this one works okay, but not that revolutionary, so i think i'll buy the TBS one again after this.
i was finally able to get my hands on this cream. this cream is quite popular when it's first launched that it's always sold out whenever it's restocked. anyway, i've tried several other moisturizers before this, so it might affect my feelings toward this cream. anyway, since i manage to get it at the end, let's see how it goes.

this is the description translated from their website: studio tropik skin barrier cream is a moisturizer that acts like your 'cherry-on-top' skincare routine. used last in your skincare step, the skin barrier cream is a moisturizer that locks moisture in your skin and strengthen skin barrier to maintain your skin health. fresh skin barrier cream contains squalane and herbs, it has the texture of fresh water cream that's suitable for normal to oily and acne prone skin. gives soothing effect to skin.
key ingredients:
- sugarcane squalane - barrier protecting emmolient. helps to lessen fine lines and increase skin elasticity, moisture and soften the skin without blocking the pores.
- panthenol - anti inflammation. helps hydrate the skin and lessen itchiness and skin inflammation.
- mugwort - high in antioxidant. acts as anti-inflammatory. soothes and lessen skin redness.
- cica - soothe redness. anti-inflammatory and helps speeding up acne healing process without making the skin dry.
- black cumin seed - calms acneic skin. prevent P. acne growth, speeding up skin healing process and thicken skin epidermal layer for a strong skin barrier.
- bisabolol - calms and soothes redness. helps soothe redness and brighten the skin.

description on the box
ingredients list: aqua, dicaprylyl carbonate, butylene glycol, squalane, glycerin, panthenol, hydroxyethyl acrylate/ sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, bisabolol, centella asiatica extract, artemisia vulgaris extract, nigella sativa seed extract, farnesol, 1,2-hexanediol, ethylhexylglycerin, propylene glycol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, citric acid, chlorphenesin, phenoxyethanol, CI 77288, triethyoxycaprylylsilane.
additional description inside
the packaging: it comes in a light yellow/moss green combination box. you can open the box completely, which i think is the latest trend in skincare packaging. there's description on the box in indonesian as well as additional information on the inside of the box. they seal the box with hologram sticker. the moisturizer itself comes in a moss green doff plastic tub which is quite bulky in my opinion. it's quite difficult to unscrew the lid at first but there's no problem afterward. the reason why the tub is quite bulky is because they attach the plastic cover to the body of the tub. then they provide a small spatula that can be hooked on the cover so you won't lose it. anyway, it's a good idea to provide a spatula and hooked it to the cover, but it makes the tub bulky and not travel friendly. for me personally, i don't quite like the bulky packaging, but it'll be okay if you just put it on your vanity. it comes in 50 g which is more than usual moisturizer size that's around 30 g.
the tub
the scent: i don't think it has distinctive scent, just probably because of the ingredients but nothing foul or annoying. there's no added perfume in the ingredients list as well so it'll be good for sensitive skin as well.
top: the spatula provided
bottom: how it looks like on the tub
the product: the moisturizer itself is also green. it's light green gel type moisturizer. the consistency is somewhat similar to true to skin moisturizer or slightly thinner than somethinc ceramide one. but it's thicker than somethinc onsen one and elsheskin one. it's watery type so it melts once you spread it around.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: this one is definitely suitable for oily to normal skin type as it's quite lightweight but still moisturizing. honestly, i don't know with the soothing effect, since i don't think it works on me. however, i don't think it helps speeding up the healing process as i felt the same unless i use special product for treating the acne.
after blending it
honestly, since i've tried other light moisturizers before this one, somehow this doesn't feel so special. it feels just ordinary. i can even say that i have other moisturizers that i like better than this one. and honestly, with the bulky packaging, i don't think i'll repurchase this one. i'd still like elsheskin and true to skin one better, and maybe the somethinc onsen one. price wise, this might be more expensive than other brands, but considering the difficulty of the packaging and the size, i think it's still reasonable.
