  • About me
i actually didn't need any more toner as i have enough toners and essences in my stash, but.. i want to try skintific travel set and i thought it would be perfect since i was about to go to japan. unfortunately, i realized that the size won't be enough for my 12 days trip so i decided not to bring it with me. but i will still try it and compare it to the hyaluronic one to decide which one i like better.

this is the translated description from their official marketplace channel: a toner that can be used daily to calm skin down when the skin barrier is damaged, helps skin barrier recovery process and keeps the skin healthy. with 5 types of ceramide that is good to maintain skin barrier, and added probiotic complex that can help increase skin microbiome to reduce skin problems, as well as calendula as anti-inflammation and antibacterial that can help protect natural skin collaged so the skin is supple and healthy.
the complete set
ingredients list at the back

hero ingredients:
- 5x ceramide: 5 types of ceramide to repair and soothe skin barrier.
- probiotic complex: increase skin microbiome that can help reduce skin problems
- calendula: nourish the skin, acts as anti-inflammation and antibacterial that protects skin natural collagen so skin looks supple and healthy.
everything inside
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in a light blue box with big transparent plastic window at front so you can see everything inside from the outside. there's ingredients of everything inside at the back of the box. the toner also comes in light blue plastic bottle with light blue plastic screw cap. there's another ingredients list printed at the back of the bottle as well. the mini size is basically the miniature of the full size one. the opening of the toner is the usual size, however, the toner doesn't come out easily and i have to shake it so the toner will come out. the sample size comes in 20 ml while the full size one is 80 ml.
the toner bottle
the scent: i don't think this one is scented, but at least it doesn't smell bad.
ingredients list at the back
the product: it's a watery type toner so it looks like water and liquid like water. since it's liquid like water, it's absorbed into my skin quickly. it doesn't leave tacky feeling afterward. i have to say that i'm surprised to learn that i need to use more than somethinc toner to get the level of hydration that i want, so obviously, i finish it pretty quickly. i use it up in 6 days so yeah.. that was quick.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: aside from hydrating and a bit moisturizing, i don't feel anything else. mainly because it's finished too quickly. as for the soothing properties, i can't say for sure since i also use soothing serum sometimes, but during using this toner, my acne is not flaring mad, so it must've been working somehow.
after patted it in
i have to say that i'm not that impressed with the toner. considering how the moisturizer gets the hype, i thought the toner would be at least impressive. but turns out that it's just mediocre. i'm not saying that it's bad, it's just not impressive. i think i like somethinc toner better than this one. however, this toner is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive one. however, i don't think dry skin will like this as this is quite lightweight. as for me, definitely i won't repurchase it nor buy the full size one.
As far as i can remember, i always wanted to try this one and the black tea line from fresh. However, their price point is way too expensive for me. But then i spotted the mini size of their FTE and i snatched it instantly. Once i finished my other toner, i decided to crack open this one since i can’t wait to try it anymore.

This is the description from their website: our best-selling anti-pollution treatment essence powered by antioxidant-rich kombucha for visibly smoother, luminous skin. this liquid treatment provides protection from indoor and outdoor pollution, plus digital light, while increasing smoothness, luminosity and suppleness. it also minimizes the look of pores and fine lines, hydrates and preps for next steps. the star is kombucha, fermented black tea rich in antioxidants.
the box
key ingredients:
- hyaluronic acid: attracts and maintains moisture to enhance suppleness.
- kombucha: fermented black tea rich in antioxidants, helps to smooth skin, increase luminosity, and defend against pollution - which can lead to the look of premature lines and dull skin.
- kigelia africana fruit extract: helps smooth the appearance of skin texture.
- mandarin peel extract: helps promote an even complexion.
description on the box
the packaging: it comes in patterned-black box with description at the back in english and french as well as ingredients list printed on it. The FTE itself comes in frosted transparent plastic bottle that looks yellowish because of the essence with black screw cap. The opening of the bottle is big enough but not too big that the essence comes out flowing too much. At first, they seal the opening with aluminum foil to secure the product inside. The mini size comes in 50 ml while the full size one is 150ml.
the bottle
the scent: i don’t know how kombucha should smell like, but all i know is, once i open the bottle, it smells like tea. Like fragrant tea and i love it. I gush about it every time i use it to my husband that it might bored him already. i might be saying it as if the scent is very fragrant like the rose toner, but it's not. once you pat it on your skin, the smell lingers just a little bit more and then nothing. it's not that overwhelming but addicting. i'm looking forward to use this essence because of the scent.
bottle opening
the product: the essence is a bit yellowish, and liquid in texture. just like water if not slightly more viscous. it spreads around easily and it's absorbed quickly as well. it doesn't leave any tacky feeling afterward either.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: once it's absorbed, i can definitely feel the added hydration that it gives. and a bit moisturizing as well. if i can visualize how it feels, it feels like feeling in between of my skin cells and plump it up. i used this when i was in japan and back at home. in japan, it's noticeably cooler than back home, but this FTE helps with hydration no matter the weather is.
after patted it in
i have to say i'm happy with my purchase. this is definitely something to splurge on and you won't feel disappointed. i think it will be suitable for all skin type so if you want to splurge and want to try something from fresh, i suggest you try this FTE. as for me, i'd definitely like to buy the full size but it's way too expensive so i'll be happy to repurchase the mini for now.
i actually wasn't planning on getting this serum, but since their launch, i've been seeing lots of people trying serums from azarine, so obviously, i was curious. looking at their line up, i won't try them all, but i think i might try the vit c, retinol, and their multivitamin serum one. another thing that makes these serums so hyped up was, the collaboration with marvel. so the boxes and the packaging will scream marvel. personally, i'm not a collector person, so i don't see the excitement from a special edition packaging. but maybe other people might be interested, so who knows? anyway, the first one that i decided to buy is the vitamin c serum since i've finished mine.
the box
this is translated from their website: vitamin c energy concentrate. face serum rich in vitamin c and antioxidant to treat your skin and fight free radicals. with tranexamic acid, vitamin c and ferulic acid work in synergic to fade dark spots or hyperpigmentation. formulated with oxymoist technology so skin is always fresh, moist and supple. with 3% vitamin c helps to prevent early aging signs and smoothes wrinkles.
ingredients list: aqua, glycerin, centella asiatica extract, terminalia ferdinandiana fruit extract, tranexamic acid, tocopheryl acetate, allantoin, resveratrol, ferulic acid, chlorphenesin, xanthan gum, phenoxyethanol, ascorbic acid, citric acid, rumex occidentalis extract, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, propanediol.
description on the box
the packaging: like i've said, this is collaboration with marvel (i don't think it's a special edition since all of their serums come in marvel packaging) so the boxes are decorated with pictures that's related to marvel. for the c glow serum, they put thor hammer at front. every serum comes in different color, for c glow, it's yellow. there's description on the box but not the ingredients list. as for the serum, it comes in yellow glass bottle that's see through so you can see the remaining product inside. they use dropper to dispense the product. this only comes in 20 ml which seems to be the norm for local serums. my only surprise with the packaging is, they dare to use transparent bottle for a vitamin c serum! all of vitamin c serums that i've used always come in dark tinted glass bottle because vitamin c can be oxidized by sunlight. so, i'm curious about the choice of packaging.
the bottle
the scent: there's no added fragrance in this serum and it is completely neutral as well.
the serum inside the dropper
the product: the serum is a cloudy white in the dropper but looks like transparent on my hand. it's like a runny gel type serum, almost watery. since it's very runny, it's easy to spread it around and it takes a minute or two to be absorbed. i use a dropper for my whole face and neck. looking at the ingredients, the vitamin c derivate used in this serum is the sodium ascorbyl phosphate (even though they listed ascorbic acid as well, i don't think they use it since ascorbic acid is easily oxidized), which is good for acne prone skin while still beneficial for antioxidant and collagen boosting. SAP is quite stable, but still, i don't think using transparent bottle is wise. i don't put the serum in the refrigerator and so far, there's no change in the color of the serum. i became more interested in this serum because they add cica, resveratrol, tranexamic acid and ferulic acid into the mix.
how it looks like on my hand
after spreading it around
the result: within a week after using this serum, i noticed that it helps even out my skin tone and brighten the whole complexion. not making my skin looks fairer, but brighter in general. no dull skin. it feels moisturizing as well. it would take more time to fade the acne scars though but it's possible with this serum.
i know the lighting is off, but focus on my acne scars
the acne scars, especially on my left cheek is noticeably lighter
i have to say that i'm quite impressed with this serum. i didn't expect that it will work well with that price point. however, i'm still wary about their choice of packaging. this is the first local brand vitamin c serum that doesn't come in dark-tinted bottle and don't need to be stored in a refrigerator. i also put it on my vanity without any extra care and until i finish it, it doesn't change at all. which is quite surprising, so i'm wondering how can they achieve it? anyway, i think this serum is suitable for all skin types and is very affordable as well. if you're looking for a vitamin c serum that's affordable and works well, then try this one.
several months ago, several local brands released a bunch of new sunscreen. there are a lot to pick from so it's quite overwhelming. however, i decided to wait until i almost finish my stash before starting to try them. one of the brand that released sunscreen is carasun. this is quite special since carasun is a new brand, solely selling sunscreen and cushion to reapply sunscreen, so there are not many products from this brand.

this is the description translated from their website: cloud-like texture, no clogged pores, rice extract and city stem. with texture as airy as cloud, safe for sensitive skin, nourish and protect from pollution, indoor and outdoor, collaborated with experts from south korea, fresh until 8 hours. halal sunscreen with SPF 45 PA++++, developed specifically for tropical skin need. with cloud-like texture formula that's lightweight, transparent and non clogging for pores, solar smart UV protector gives the most comfortable protection from tropical sun all day long, for indoor and outdoor activity.
size 8 ml, 30 ml, 70 ml.

the packaging: there are three sizes of this sunscreen, so there are two packaging. for the 30 ml and the 80 ml, both comes in tube packaging, like other sunscreen in the market. but for the travel size, they opted for a different packaging. it comes in a plastic squeeze pouch, like baby's food pouch, only smaller. the color and design is the same as the full size one. there's description at the back of the pouch. the travel size is only 8 ml.
the packaging
the scent: it's unscented. and doesn't smell weird or foul at all.
description at the back
the product: just like marketed, it comes in snow white airy cream that feels lightweight. like dense bubble. or cloud. even though it's thick, but it's lightweight and spreadable easily. it sinks in pretty quickly
how it looks like on my hand
the result: it leaves matte finish and doesn't feel sticky at all. however, i've read somewhere that it might get oily if you use too much, especially for oily skin. as for me, somehow with my age and regular use of retinol, my skin gets drier a little bit. so, this sunscreen doesn't make me oily, but i don't use too much anyway. this definitely doesn't leave any white cast at all.
after spreading it around, no white cast, matte finish
if you don't mind the texture, then this is a good option for you. i think it'll be suitable for all skin types. it leaves matte finish and doesn't give any white cast, which is perfect for darker skin tone. plus, it gives several size options as well, so you can pick whatever suit your need. i don't know where i can buy this since i found this at sociolla. as for price wise, it's affordable. as for me, now it's my time to try all local sunscreen available in the market right now, so i'd probably won't repurchase this any time soon.
as i've said in other post, i've always wanted to try kerastase products but it's pretty expensive so i kept postponing it. anyway, i say a set in sephora singapore which is from their genesis line (targeted for anti hair loss), so i got it. i never tried all products in one set at the same time, but somehow, my shampoo and my hair mask ran out at the same time so i decided to give this set a try. everything at the same time. i've tried the shampoo and the conditioner first, so it's the mask time.

this is the description from their website: intense fortifying hair mask for weakened hair that is prone to falling due to breakage from brushing. for weekly use. provides intense nourishment and hydration. smooths and detangles. fortifies against breakage.
key ingredients: ginger, edelweiss native cells, arginine (helps stimulate healthy hair growth by supporting strong blood flow to the roots of hair cells).
the box
the set consists of
- bain nutri-fortifiant shampoo 80 ml
- fondant renforçateur 75 ml
- masque reconstituant 75 ml
description at the back
the packaging: since this comes in a set, it comes in a pink box with description of everything inside at the back of the box. there's a big plastic transparent window at front so you can see everything from the outside. all the products are placed on a plastic tray so everything is secure. for the mask, it comes in a pink plastic short tub with screw cap. it's only 75 ml so it's very tiny, but it lasts long since i only use it once a week. anyway, there's another description at the bottom of the mask.
the tub
the scent: just like other products from this set, it's scented and let me tell you, the scent is heavenly. it's fragrant but not too overwhelming and it stays until next washing. even though i workout regularly, thus sweating easily, somehow the scent still linger on my hair.
how it looks like on the inside
the product: the mask is white creamy mask, almost like butter? anyway, it's quite thick so it's easy to scoop out of the tub and slather it on my hair. i only use this a bit, from mid length of my hair to my ends. and then i massage it. i never try it with the clinic mode of my glampalm mainly because i don't have time for it. school has been crazy so my day is busy taking the kids to and from the school and then basket lessons, so yeah.. don't have free time anymore.

the result: obviously this is more moisturizing for my hair. i can feel my hair is soft and smooth after drying it out. but.. it's still give frizzy hair. unless i straighten my hair, it'll still look a bit frizzy. as for the hair loss prevention, i think it helps a bit as long as it's being used in combination with other products from this line, especially the shampoo and the hair serum.

i have to say i like them all, but if i have to be picky, i would suggest to get the shampoo and the hair mask, along with the serum, of course. anyway, i like their scent so much that i will miss it once i've finished with this set. anyway, it's quite pricey, so i suggest you buy them while on sale. does it help with hair loss? a little bit because i still experience hair loss, but not as much as before. plus, i've just dyed my hair again, so obviously it helps since it's not as bad as after i got back from europe. anyway, i hope they release set like this in indonesia as well.
as i've said in other posts that i bought this to find what anti-hair fall product that works best for me. i always want to try kerastase but the price is too expensive for me, so i keep postponing buying something from them. anyway, i saw this set and it was a good price as well, so i'm excited to try them. anyway, i tried the shampoo first but then i ran out of my hair mask as well so i decided to try them all in one go. this is unusual for me since i like to try them separately. so let's see how this one goes.

this is the description from their website: anti-breakage fortifying conditioner for weakened hair that works to restore and reinforce the fibre for maximised retention. hydrate strands to avoid frizz and boost moisture, softness and shine for the ultimate result. silicone-free, sulfate-free. featuring anti-breakage action and fibre fortification. fortify weakened hair with the creamy, nourishing formula of the genesis fondant renforcateur strengthening conditioner. prevent damage with a potent shield of anti-breakage protection and fibre fortification for strands that stay lusciously intact. boost strength, body and shine with a formulated conditioner for weak hair, enriched with edelweiss native cells and ginger root for their powerful antioxidant properties.
the box
the set consists of
- bain nutri-fortifiant shampoo 80 ml
- fondant renforçateur 75 ml
- masque reconstituant 75 ml
description at the back
the packaging: because i bought this as a set, it comes in a pink box with a big transparent plastic window at front so you can see everything from outside. there's a description of everything inside at the back of the box in english. the products are placed in a transparent plastic tray so everything is secured. the conditioner itself comes in a pink plastic squeeze tube with screw cap. another description at the back of the tube as well. the opening of the tube is big enough so i can squeeze the conditioner easily.
the tube
the scent: the conditioner has similar scent as the shampoo, so it's addicting as well. i really love how my hair smells after using everything from this set.  and the scent is long lasting as well.
description at the back of the tube
the product: it's a thick white cream like conditioner. it's been so long since i used a conditioner, so i can't compare it with anything else. it's quite thick but easily spread all over my hair. it washes off well as well.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: uhm.. i do feel that it helps making my hair a bit softer, but not much. compared to the mask, this barely makes a big difference, but it still helps taming my frizzy hair a bit. i can notice the difference whenever i don't use it.

i have to say this conditioner is making my hair a bit smoother and softer, slightly more manageable. it might not help with the hair loss, but it makes my hair doesn't dry out after shampooing. after using it regularly, my hair is more manageable and less frizzy. i don't know how much it costs in full size, so i don't think i will repurchase this.
i've been battling with hair loss since my europe trip. well, actually i did deal with it before, but it's not as worse as after the europe trip. somehow during my trip, my scalp reacted to one of the shampoo provided by the hotel and somehow after that incident, my hair fell even more than before. it got to the point where my husband was worried that i might get bald, so he insisted that i started find some treatment immediately. i decided to buy several treatment and slowly but sure it works. so naturally, i became more interested in trying hair loss products in the market, and when i visited singapore, i stumbled upon this set by kerastase. i knew that they had a genesis line which targeted for hair loss, but i didn't know which one to pick. so, the set kind of help to give the idea. this time, somehow i finished all my hair products at the same time, so i use all three at similar time (if you knew me, then i barely used a whole set at the same time, so this is a new achievement). anyway, the first one that i tried was the shampoo so let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: fortifying shampoo for normal to dry, weakened hair that is prone to falling due to breakage from brushing. gently cleanses scalp and hair while adding moisture. provides intense nourishment and gently detangles hair. prevents risk of hair-fall due to breakage from brushing.

the set consists of
- bain nutri-fortifiant shampoo 80 ml
- fondant renforçateur 75 ml
- masque reconstituant 75 ml
the box
the packaging: since i bought this as a set, they comes in a pink box with a transparent plastic window at front so you can see everything from the outside. at the back, there's a short description of everything inside in english. all the products are placed on a transparent plastic tray so everything is secured. the shampoo itself comes in a miniature of the full size one. please do mind that the genesis line has two types of shampoo, the one with transparent body and the opaque one. the one in the set is the opaque one, so the shampoo comes in an opaque pink plastic bottle with screw cap. there's a very description at the back in several languages as well as the ingredients list.
description at the back
the scent: the first time i use this, i automatically fell in love with the scent. yeah sure, it's fragrant, but it's... addicting. i can't describe the scent, but it's very noticeable so if you don't like scented products, then you should skip it. for me personally, the scent makes the whole experience more exciting.
the bottle
the product: the shampoo is a pearly white runny gel-type shampoo. i only need a tiny bit for my hair right now (i just cut my hair so i only need a tiny bit for all of my hair) and it bubbles up generously. please note that this one still contains SLES, so if you're avoiding this stuff, then skip this. oh, and the difference between the transparent one and the opaque one is the target. for the opaque one, it's targeted toward dry hair while the transparent one is for normal hair.
description at the back of the bottle again
the result: okay, compared to erha shampoo (for the hair fall), i definitely notice that this one is not superior compared to the other. erha works better in preventing hair fall, but then again, i've just dyed my hair again, and i don't experience bad hair fall, so i guess it must've worked but not as powerful as erha one. anyway, the shampoo is not drying and i don't experience flakiness on my scalp because of the shampoo (one of the reason that i stopped using erha one is because it causes flakiness on my scalp).
how it looks like on my hand
that being said, i'm a little bit sad that this one is not as effective as erha one, but i do like the scent. if only that this shampoo doesn't cost fortune... anyway, you can get kerastase from their official market place, and they do hold sales on special dates, so perhaps save money and buy them at discounted price. as for me, i'll think about it, as it's quite damn pricey.
