happy new year!! like always, we always have a new year's resolution, including beauty resolution. on new year's eve i read about some beauty editors' new year's beauty resolution, and it got me thinking about mine. well, i had to admit, last year i was transforming in beauty and fashion world. i ditched my old comfort-unstylish clothes, and started to build a new wardrobe, something that more representable and more decent, and also age-wise. now that i'm a mother, i couldn't wear clothes that i used to wear. not that they were not fit anymore, but i just don't feel like using it again. somehow i outgrow them. and about beauty, i still did my adventure in the makeup world, and it made me realize that i had to take care of my skin more. i started to search for my holy grail skincare and hair care. i have found some of them, but i still in search for others. so, without further ado, here's my beauty and fashion resolution:
1.taking care of my hair and skin. i had to search for facial wash and eye cream. not to mention the shampoo for oily scalp. and it had to be my priority than to find a affordable makeup.
2. try highlight and contouring. i had a highlighter and bronzer, but the bronzer wasn't dark enough to contour. so i had to find something else. i was pretty pale so i thought highlighting and contouring would be perfect for shaping my face.
3. find a perfect red lipstick. my first try was certainly red by revlon. and i had to admit i didn't have the courage to wear it daytime yet, but i will. and i think that it wasn't the one for me, so i will find another one.
4. accessorize more. i only had several bracelets, necklaces and earrings. and some were outdated. i had to find more accessories to complete my look.
5. try a new look. like buying a leopard shoes. but it has to complement the other items i've already had.
6. cataloguing my clothes. it could made styling easier. i have found an app to do that, but i didn't get the chance to photograph all my clothes yet.
i guess that's all for now. we'll see later. for now, i was glad there were sites like pinterest and thebeautydepartment.com or laurenconrad.com and of course jseverydayfashion.com for my fashion compass. i could find inspirations on styling my wardrobe or my hair and nail. especially fseverydayfashion. ever since i read her, my style had changed a lot, and it was getting better, according to my husband. she encouraged us to try new things but still expressed ourselves. and being stylish not always can be achieved by high end brand stuff. one thing that i haven't done yet was establishing a fashion budget. but i will soon once i got a job.
unfortunately, i couldn't find a beauty blogger that really got me. but i still search for that. right now i still googling for review and swatches. hopefully i could find the js in beauty world soon.
