the packaging: it's a stick, like a pen. you can take the cap off to show the lipstick. and then twist the tube to take the lipstick out. the upper stick which covered by the cap and the bottom are colored exactly like the lipstick shade. they also print the shades name and the formula on the bottom of each lippie stix. makes it easier to pick which shades you want to try. the slanted tip at the top makes it easier to apply the lipstick.
the color payoff: like i said before, they glide smoothly and the color payoff is good. one swipe is enough to make the color shown. but if you want a bolder look, then swipe couple more. and brink being said as kylie jenner's lip, well it's true. on my it looks like brownish color, like brick. it reminds me the 90s lip trend back in the day. but it looks natural on me, like darker nude but not too dark.
the smell: i don't notice that there's any scent at first, but as i swatching on my hand, i accidentally sniff the back of my hand, and i can smell subtle scent, like vanilla..
the formula: brink is matte, but it's nothing like i've ever tried. i've tried wet n wild (drying, and will show all the streaks on my lips), mac sample (drying but not as bad as wnw) and nyx lipcream (this one is comfortable, but it's liquid). this one dries matte but you don't feel drying at all, but not moisturizing too like the other creamy lipstick. pretty weird but it's real. i love it! if you have dry lips and worry about matte formula, then try this one. it will change your opinion about matte lipstick.
the staying power: since brink is not that bright, i don't know when it fades from my lips. i think it can stay for normal duration, about 3-4 hours without eating and drinking. and it doesn't feather and doesn't set into lines. i don't think it leaves any stain behind too.
overall, this one is a good choice and color if you want to try the kylie jenner's lip trend. and i think it might suit many skintones. probably for very dark skin this will look like nude color, but for fair to medium skin, this will be the kylie's color for you. and yes.. i like it... i never have color like this and i like how it's suitable for everyday wear.
