yes, finally i get my hands on these babies!!! yeyyy!! i'm super excited i can get my hand on them. well, in states, it's quite cheap, $5 each. but here, since they're not shipping worldwide, there are couple of online shops that sells them. luckily, my usual online shop has them. and the price is twice from the states. i don't know if she will raise the price since the USD-IDR exchange rate is higher now. FYI, you can get these lippie stix from various online shops in indonesia for IDR 110.000-130.000. okay. i have a lot of shades that i want to buy, but after reading and looking at many swatches and reviews, i think i will stick to basic and normal colors, with a few brights that i'm very eager to try.
well, this one is a brand new brand. and they're indie brand. means they don't have stores so you only can buy them online. but they're great. they are no-cruelty brand, and i think some of their products are vegan.. so i think it's a good thing. people nowadays are become more aware about this stuff, so finding out that this brand is non cruel and vegan is good. it means they care.
if you don't know what lippie stix is, well, they're basically lipstick in stick form, hence.. lippie stix. it's very cute. and as i mentioned before, this babies are cheap back in states, but the size is quite small. only a third from usual lipstick size. so probably it will be as expensive as mac's if it comes in normal size. and like most lipsticks, they come in several finishes. at first, i only knew creme, satin, glossy, hyperglossy and matte finish. but now they also come in sheer and pearlized finishes. and like mac, colourpop is famous for their matte formula. i have tried mac's matte formula, and it dries my lips. but this one... colourpop is a winner for sure. it glides easily on my lips and feel very creamy, but it dries matte on my lips. not drying at all. winner!
this lippie stix also has lippie pencil as their lip liner, but i don't buy any of them since i don't use lip liner ever. but not all the same name lippie pencil have the exact color as the lippie stix. but like other lip liner, you can use it alone like lipstick. besides their cheap price, these babies also have a lot of colors to pick from. you name it, they might have it. from red to pink to nude to blue and greens.. they have it all. as for me.. i tried to keep it down under 10 (wheeww.. it's a hard work to select and deselect) and i've decided to pick most of the famous shades: lumiere, brink, frida, fetch, button, toucan, westie and the latest launch (when i ordered them), fighter.
all i can say that these babies are impressive. though they're cheap, but the color payoff is good. one swipe is enough to give a punch of color. and i don't really feel the difference between satin and matte. yeah.. i have to admit, i'm so focused into the color shades that i forgot to pay attention to the formula and ended up having satin and mattes only. oh well, i'm quite happy with my purchase now.. but after buying these babies, i don't think i'll ever buy another lipstick from other brand ever..
