my beauty story sweet & chic lipstick in rose

this is another lipstick that i bought from my beauty story. i decided to buy rose instead of samantha since i'm worried samantha might be too pale on me. you can see the complete lip swatches on thelipstickmafiaaa instagram (click here). i bet you will get hard time deciding after seeing her swatches.

this is the description from their website: makeup, simplified. beauty story sweet & chic lipstick creamy, pigment-rich lip colour that look great on any skin tone. provides full coverage with a lightweight feel for unfailingly pretty looks, day or night. enriched with vitamin E increasing wearability for 24/7 and keep true color intact. there's rich, there's obscenely rich and then there's our beauty story sweet & chic lipstick. formulated with lip-conditioning hydrators, it treats while it enhances lips. available in carefully curated, beautiful shades.

the packaging: it's a grey plastic tube with flowers imprinted on the body. cute but sadly doesn't feel sturdy. even when i twist the tube i can feel that the tube is fragile. and sadly.. i got my rose lipstick broken when i twist it all the way down.

the smell: all i can say it doesn't smell waxy or any foul smell.. but i might be wrong since my smelling sensor is bad.

the color payoff: one swipe is enough, and it's good for lipstick with this cheap price tag. although there's no description about the color in the web, i can say that rose is reddish coral. slightly on the red side rather than the orange side. (if you want more orange you can try zinnia, and if you want more red, true red, probably you can try ayanna. lily is bright fuschia pink and linea is blue based red)

the lasting power: average 3 hours on my lips, but it will vanish with eating and drinking. i haven't noticed about the stain, but i will pay attention about it next time i wear this lipstick again.

the formula: somehow this one is creamier than azalea. if azalea dries out to matte on me, somehow rose is semi-matte. it does reflect a bit of light on my pictures. very weird indeed. i don't know if this is inconsistency or it depends on the wearer.

well, i can say i don't regret buying rose. though i'm afraid it will look similar to my maybelline coral crush, but turn out it doesn't. it's a good coral shade perfect for summer or hot days like these. it's a bright color that helps brighten your gloomy day. i think it will perfect for all skin tone, but for pale skin, if you don't like bright lips, then try the lighter color like samantha or calanthe.
