  • About me
my skin was at its worst state couple weeks ago. nothing that i used seems to help. so i decided to cut back on the product that i used. only back to basic. cleansing, toner and moisturizer. then i added an essence slowly. i use it for a week before i added another serum on my night time slot. i also started to use clay mask again to help with the acne. slowly, my skin is getting better now. lately, the acne flares up again, but i notice it was probably because the emulsion that i'm trying is way too rich. i stop it and change it with the jumiso serum. and it works miraculously. somehow i start noticing improvement in my skin condition.

this is description from their website: fresh vitamin for your face every day. keeps your skin radiant and healthy, nourished the skin with natural and powerful ingredients, helps the brightening, and elasticity care of the skin, soothes acne areas to even out the skin, suits all skin type.
what makes it special? with 0% water content and 86,14% vitamin tree extract, contains various vitamin complexes such as A,B,D,E, and K as well as vitamin C. with light consistency, you can use this product day and night. vitamin tree extract 86,14% containing a high percentage of vitamin tree extracts for brightening, anti-oxidizing, anti-inflammation, wound healing and skin recovery functions. centella asiatica extract and chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract vitalizes the skin and relieves inflammation while keeping the skin healthy and balanced.
ingredients list: hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract, methylpropanediol, glycerin, niacinamide, dipropylene glycol, sodium hyaluronate, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, centella asiatica extract, polygonum cuspidatum root extract, scutellaria baicalesis root extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, panthenol, betaine, ascorbic acid, hydroxyacetophenone, pentylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, butylene glycol, chlorphenesin, carbomer, arginine, disodium EDTA, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, cymbopogon martini oil, cananga odorata flower oil, citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) peel oil, rosa damascena flower oil.

the packaging: it comes in bright orange box. there's description in various language at the side of the box as well as the ingredients list at the back in english. unfortunately, they added a sticker label with description in indonesian so it covers the original ingredients list. they seal the upper lid of the box with sticker. the serum itself comes in transparent orange glass bottle with dropper to dispense the product. the serum comes in usual 30 ml size. the dropper works okay. since the glass is transparent, i can see the remaining product inside.
the box
description on the box
the scent: this one is scentless, but you can pick some natural scent from the ingredients used in the serum, but it's very subtle.
ingredients list and the added sticker label
the bottle
the product: it's a gel-type transparent serum. it's quite viscous but i can spread it around my face easily. it's absorbed quickly as well and doesn't leave tacky feeling. i use half to full dropper for my whole face and neck, depending on my skin condition. honestly i have no idea about the vitamin tree extract used in this serum. but looking at the ingredients, it contains good stuff that might help with inflammation such as niacinamide and centella asiatica. it contains hydrating and moisturizing agents like glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, betaine and butylene glycol. for brightening, it contains ascorbic acid and licorice root extract. the rest are extracts and oils.
the dropper
how it looks like on my hand
the result: this serum is clearly help with clearing my acne. it starts to help the acne reduce in size and then helps with the acne scars as well. my complexion also gets brighten after using this regularly. it also helps with the sebum production. even without adding emulsion in the morning, this serum helps balancing my skin condition, just like its promise.
after blended it in
three days difference. some acne scars starts to fade
i have to say that this serum delivers what it's promised to do. it's targeted for oily skin and it's understandable since niacinamide helps with the sebum production. before using this serum, while i still use the emulsion, my skin gets oily faster. then after stopping the emulsion and changing it to this serum, my skin is back on track. no more oily skin. i have to say this is a keeper. if you've never heard of jumiso, this serum is their best selling and probably the longest running product in their line up. you can get jumiso through sociolla and other online shops. definitely putting this in my repurchase list.
i might mention this several times that among skincare products that i used, facial cleanser is the quickest one to finish because my husband sometimes uses it as well. my favorite facial cleanser is hada labo gokujyun foam, but the refill can only be bought from japan. so, even though I still have some in my stash, I want to keep them for now. lately several local brands just released facial cleanser, so obviously I want to try them as well. I've tried the kleveru and n'pure, and now it's avoskin time. there are still more local brand's facial foam that I haven't tried, so it might need some time to finally try them all.

this is the description from their website: use avoskin natural sublime facial cleanser as the latest facial cleanser from avoskin that will clean the skin optimally while brightening and moisturizing the skin! avoskin natural sublime facial cleanser comes with reformulation of ingredients from aloe vera facial wash. this product is a low pH cleaner that uses environmentally friendly plastic packaging with sustainable ingredients derived from sugar cane. contains macula oil, kale extract, cactus extract, niacin amide, pentavitin to provide a moisturizing effect, brighten, and maintain skin barrier function. avoskin natural sublime facial cleanser is effective for:
- maximizes the process of maintaining skin moisture without making the skin dry.
- brightens and moisturizes the skin.
- maintain skin barrier.
- hydrates facial skin all day long.
this natural sublime facial cleanser product comes with minimal ingredients that are alcohol free, SLS free, paragon free, fragrance free, silicon free, and no animal testing. so this product is very safe to use for all skin types and can be used for ages starting from 15 years.
ingredients list: water, cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, lauramidopropyl hydroxysultaine, sodium cocoyl glycinate, sodium chloride, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, niacinamide, disodium cocoyl glutamate, polysorbate 20, citric acid, coconut acid, sodium cocoate, xanthin gum, pentylene glycol, saccharide isomerase, butylene glycol, sodium benzoate, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, disodium EDTA, sodium bisulfite, cereus grandiforus (cactus) flower extract, potassium sorbate, sodium hyaluronate, sclerocarya birrea seed oil, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, sodium citrate, rosa damascena flower water, rosa damascena flower oil.

the packaging: it comes in light green/white box. they seal the box with sticker seal. the facial cleanser itself comes in a light green plastic squeeze tube with flip top. they seal the outer part of the tube with aluminum foil so don't forget to remove it the first time. there's description on the box in English and Indonesian. there's also the ingredients list written in English at the back of the box. the facial cleanser comes in 100 ml.
the box
the scent: this one in unscented. even I sniff real close, I still can't pick up any scent. i think it'll be good for sensitive skin.
description and ingredients list
the product: this is a transparent gel type facial cleanser. it's quite thick, maybe a tad thicker than the kleveru. if you look closely, there is some kind of bubbles in the gel cleanser. I don't know what cause the bubble. anyway, since this is a gel type, I only need a bit for my whole face and neck. less if I use my foreo. you have to add water and rub your hands to make it foam a bit, but don't expect crazy foam or bubbles. I think it's similar to cosrx low pH cleanser. I think the kleveru bubbles up a little bit more compared to avoskin.
the tube
the result: this cleanses well as second cleanser. I never use this as first cleanser so I can't say anything about its makeup removing power. for second cleanser, this works really well. it's just as promised, no dryness. no tight feeling after washing my face with this cleanser. as for brightening, I have to say kleveru one is more brightening, but a bit more drying than this one.
can you see tiny bubbles in the facial gel?
I have to say this is another good option for my rotation. between this one and kleveru, totally depend on your preference. if you want more brightening effect, then kleveru gives more brightening effect. but avoskin on is less drying, though both are minimally drying. as for me, I like them both, so I'd probably repurchase them again some time in the future if I ever run out of any option. price wise, avoskin is more expensive than kleveru, but both are still affordable. you can buy avoskin from almost everywhere, their website, marketplace, and even sociolla.
if you read my other post, you'd know that i've been contacted by AXIS-Y team to review their newest products, the gel mask and the sheet mask. i've tried the gel mask (you can read it here), so now let's try the sheet mask. even though they sent me the product to try for free, they don't influence my thoughts about the product in anyway. anything i say about the product is 100% my thoughts.

this is the description from their website: 61% mugwort green vital energy complex sheet mask - revitalizes and moisturizes. this sheet mask is made with plant-based cellulose fiber enriched with 61% of mugwort extract. the texture delivers a rich moisture feeling without the heaviness and helps the skin control sebum production and reverse skin damage. we are a brand that firmly believes that the best products are made by listening to our community. we conducted a survey on our website to ask over 500 participants what they envisioned for AXIS-Y. the majority of participants requested that we develop a sheet mask and a mugwort-based line. as the summer months approached, we wanted to focus our attention on creating a refreshing 'detox green juice'- inspired sheet mask that addresses inner, mental health, outer, skin health, and environmental health. with this mission, we were able to develop an amazingly rich, luxurious formula of 15 extracts and 61% mugwort all coming together in the form of a plant-based fiber sheet.
for all skin type. skin concern: dry skin, irritation. skin feel: hydrating, cooling.
6 base ingredients:
- centella asiatica: boosts skin natural healing process and soothes irritated skin.
- peony root: provides antioxidant benefits and aids in regenerating skin.
- cabbage: helps lower the temperature of skin to soothe inflammation.
- okra: moisturizes skin, relieves inflammation, and strengthens skin barrier.
- spinach: contains large amounts of minerals to help the skin absorb nutrients.
- broccoli: rich in vitamin C and E which helps to lighten hyperpigmentation.
1 core ingredient: mugwort (61%) - protects the skin from harmful oxygen radicals, revitalizes it from damage, soothes and cleanses the skin.
1 effective technology: multiEx BSASM - made with a blend of 7 plant extracts that contain anti-inflammatory and curing properties, this technology aids in the healing of irritated skin.

ingredients list: artemisia capillaris extract, water, dipropylene glycol, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, butylene glycol, centella asiatica extract, melia azadirachta leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, polygonum cuspidatum root extract, scutellaria baicalensis root extract, melia azadirachta flower extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, glycyrrhiza uralensis (licorice) root extract, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, dextrin, salvia officinalis (sage) oil, juniperus mexicana oil, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, brassica oleracea capitata (cabbage) leaf extract, hibiscus esculentus fruit extract, spinacia oleracea (spinach) leaf extract, brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, artemisia princeps leaf water, carbomer, allantoin, tromethamine, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, hydroxyacetophenone, caprylyl glycol, xanthan gum, sodium phytate, caramel, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, ethylhexylglycerin.
description at the back of the box
the packaging: it comes with dark green box with all the star ingredients written at front. the design is somewhat different from the rest of the other products. at the back of the box you can see the description and ingredients list in english and korean. the individual packaging comes in similar design as the box, only the color is a bit gradient for the individual packaging. a box contains 5 individual masks. again at the back of the individual packaging you see the exact description and ingredients list both in english and korean as well.
the individual packaging
the scent: it smells like medicated balm. the scent is stronger when it's freshly opened. but once you put it on your face, the scent dissipates quickly and you can barely smell it after 5 minutes or so. for me, i don't mind the scent.
description at the back of the individual packaging
the product: the mask definitely feels like a cellulose mask. honestly i forgot what it was made for when i ripped the package but when i touched it, i can guess that it was made of cellulose and i was right. the mask is thin and flimsy without any backing, so you have to be careful when you unfolded it. it feels cool on my face when i first put it on my face. the fit is okay for me. it's a bit wider on my temple but the forehead size is just right for me. the nose flap doesn't cover my whole nose as usual, and it has this weird inner eye slit that i don't like. it has some slits on the jaw part so you can adjust the mask easily. the essence is transparent greenish gel type essence and it's quite generous, though i feel the essence kind of drips down to my jaw so it drags the mask for the first few minutes since i wasn't lying down when i used it. there's some excess in the pouch so i transfer it to a clean container. i've tried using it with foreo ufo as well. even though i can glide the ufo easily on this mask, i don't like using ufo with this mask. the mask is thin and flimsy so when i glide the ufo on it, somehow it drags the mask until the mask moves and even folded. i had to readjust the mask afterward. maybe i'll try using the ufo with the excess essence only.
the excess essence
the result: i put it on for about 30 minutes and the mask was still damp. after i took it off, i can see my skin is well hydrated and moisturized as well. my angry acnes are soothed as well. though the redness wasn't vanished completely, but it was less than before. combined with ufo, the acne shrinks in size the next morning. with regular use, i guess it will help lessen the inflammation. as for the brightening, i can see my face look fresher.

i think this is a good option to keep for summer time (or here in Indonesia, all year long). it's nice to feel cooling sensation after a long, hot and humid day. it's soothing, hydrating and moisturizing. i like how it helps soothe my angry acnes as well. i think it is suitable for all skin type. AXIS-Y products can be bought through their website (check it here) or you can check their IG (here). AXIS-Y is also cruelty free and vegan.
#axisy #climateskincare #kbeauty #crueltyfree #vegan
ever since my last post about AXIS-Y products, they have released two more products, one is a gel mask and the other is a sheet mask. since i've been focusing on local brands since last year, somehow i didn't have the time to try their new product. but then their team contacted me again and asked me for another collaboration, which i obviously gladly accepted. even though they sent me the products in exchange for a review, they didn't influence my opinion in any way. all my thoughts in this review are purely mine.

this is the description from their website: formulated to brighten and soothe your skin, this gel mask is packed full of powerful ingredients to moisturize and reinforce the skin's natural barrier function. heartleaf repairs and soothes dull and irritated skin while 2% niacinamide noticeably brightens and evens skin tone.
we're always striving to reach our goals in our skincare journey, but why wait for new year's or the next season to make good habits and choices for our skin? our skin regenerates itself every 27 days, so you don't have to wait for new year to plan for a fresh start - you can set your skin resolutions with every applications of our new resolution gel mask that's designed to renew, refresh, and revitalize whenever you want to achieve your skin goals.
skin type: any, sensitive, acne-prone. skin concern: irritation, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture.
skin feel: cooling, exfoliating, hydrating.
6 base ingredients:
-heartleaf - soothes skin, regulates sebum production, and improves irritation.
- fig - regenerates skin and maintains its moisture.
- madecassoside (centella asiatica) - contains healing, soothing, and antioxidant properties.
- allantoin - protects skin barrier from water loss.
- mugwort - soothes and calms the skin while giving it a boost of antioxidants.
- yam root - encourages rejuvenation and reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
1 core ingredient: niacinamide (2%) - improves uneven skin tone, dullness, and weakened skin barrier.
1 effective technology: meadow shield technology - phenolic acids from meadowsweet flower extract aid in fighting bacteria with its high concentration of antioxidants.

ingredients list
the packaging: this comes in a light yellow box that's similar in tone with other AXIS-Y products, except that the box design is lot simpler than the others. there's description on the box in korean and english as well as the ingredients list. the mask itself comes in green plastic tub with white screw cap. the yellow label on the tub has similar design to the box. there's a plastic separator inside with a mini spatula on it. i just wish the spatula is a bit bigger and wider as it's a bit hard to pick up the product using the spatula. the mask comes in 100 ml which is quite a lot, but i think other wash off masks come in similar size.
the tub
they use sticker to seal the tub
the scent: there's no added fragrance in the ingredients list, but since the mask is a mix of a bunch of ingredients, so it might affect the scent. i can pick up lavender scent and a bit of mint or herb scent. it's very subtle. obviously i can smell it when i freshly open the tub, but once i put it on my face, the scent doesn't linger. the scent doesn't bother me, but if you have sensitive nose, you might want to try the smaller size (i saw on IG that they sell their mask duo as a set, so probably you should get that one to try first).
the plastic separator and the spatula
the wash off mask
the product: the mask is a gel type wash off mask. it's greenish-transparent gel mask with specks of leaf in it. i'm guessing it's either the hearleaf, centella or the mugwort. or maybe all three. anyway, the mask is quite viscous, so it's not dripping all over my face. i can spread it around my face easily, but since the spatula is quite small, i use my finger to spread it around and just use the spatula to pick up the product. i put it on my face for about 15 minutes before washing it off.
left: before
middle: mask on
right: after
i don't know why it doesn't captured well, in person, my skin looks brighter afterward
notice the redness on my cheek and around my acne reduces after using the mask
the result: i can feel the cooling effect once i put it on my face. it'd be easier to use washcloth to wash it off, but i can still use my fingers. i can totally see the brightening effect. my skin looks much brighter after using it. obviously the effect is temporary, but with regular use, it can help fading acne scars. as for soothing, i can see it reduce redness on my face, especially around my acnes. as for the moisturizing effect, i don't feel it that much. but this is a wash off mask, i don't rely on it for moisturizing my face. as long as it doesn't make my skin tight after washing it off, it's a good sign for me.

this is another approved product for me. i think it'd be great in the summer, or here in Indonesia, all year long, especially around hot and hotter days. it can help soothe your skin and cool it off. it is suitable for all skin type, but since it contains several extracts, you might want to check the ingredients first if you have allergic reaction. AXIS-Y products can be bought through their website (check it here) or you can check their IG (here). if you want to get the duo, they have it as a set as well. anyway, AXIS-Y is also cruelty free and vegan.

if you've read my other posts, you'll know that i finally bought two sulwhasoo sets what came with separate GWPs. my main targets were the bloomstay serum and the FCAS, so i bought two sets that have both targets in full size version. but in the bloomstay set, the serum is the last that i'd try. let's see how it goes. i desperately want this one to work for me.

this is the description from their website: a vitality and resilience-boosting serum that stimulates the skin's vitality and clears up the complexion by using the anti-oxidizing energy of plum blossoms. bloomstay vitalizing serum leaves your skin with a bright glow and fresh look. the antioxidant properties of plum blossom with components from five germinated fruits. precious plum blossoms hand-picked at dawn. sulwhasoo harvests plum blossoms at dawn. this is because plum blossoms, which are extremely delicate, and reaches their peak at dawn. and to deliver this delicate energy all the way to your skin, sulwhasoo distills its harvested plum blossoms into the bloomstay vitalizing serum. the most extraordinary plum blossoms. sulwhasoo's research team discovered superior anti-oxidizing energy in the buds of green plum blossoms. each bloomstay vitalizing product contains a rare substance found in green plum blossoms. the extraordinary substance derived from green plum blossoms transforms tired and fatigued skin into brighter and firmer skin. "bala obang jongsil" adds clarity to your skin. adding to the list of special ingredients featured in the bloomstay vitalizing serum is a substance derived from "bala obang jongsil" which provides a healthier and brighter glow to your complexion. from a dense, honey-like texture, to a watery, dew-like texture. when you apply the serum, the enriched formula feels dense and elastic. but once you spread it evenly across your skin, it feels soft and smooth.
ingredients list: water, butylene glycol, glycerin, glycereth-26, alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, niacinamide, 1,2-hexanediol, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, BIS-PEG-18 methyl ether dimethyl silane, avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, PVP, xanthan gum, dimethiconol, propanediol, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate copolymer, tromethamine, sodium polyacrylate, methoxy PEG-114/polyepsilon caprolactone, disodium EDTA, fragrance, adenosine, phenoxyethanol, sorbitan isostearate, polysorbate 60, citrus junos fruit extract, honey, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, polygonatum officinale rhizome/ root extract, rehmannia glutinosa root extract, paeonia albiflora root extract, lilium candidum bulb extract, ethylhexylglycerin, glycyrrhiza uralensis (licorice) root extract, linalool, dextrin, prunus mume fruit extract, theobroma cacao (cocoa) extract, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed extract, pinus koraiensis seed extract, chaenomeles sinensis fruit extract, rosa multiflora fruit extract, beta lucan, poncirus trifoliata fruit extract, limonene, geraniol, benzyl benzoate, prunus mume flower extract, citronellol, potassium hydroxide, acetic acid, BHT.
the box
complete list at the back
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, this comes in light pink box with description of what is inside at the back. all the products are placed in a plastic tray so everything is secured inside. the serum is the only item that comes in full size, the rest are in sample sizes. if you're curious, the others are the FCAS in plum blossom scent (read it here), the toner (read it here) and the cream (read it here). the serum itself comes in a pretty pink glass bottle with pump head that's covered in pink cap. it comes in 30 ml. the bottle is heavy but i think the FCAS bottle is heavier.
all products in this set
the scent: it smells just like the other products in the bloomstay line. they said that it's a plum blossom scent, but all i can say it's a mix of floral but there's a hint of ginseng scent in it. it's might not be suitable for sensitive skin, but all sulwhasoo's products are scented. for me, it's relaxing, even a bit addictive, so i'm not complaining.
the bottle
pump head
the product: the serum is totally like described. it's a light golden serum, honey-like texture. it's a bit stringy like snail serum product, but i can easily spread it all around my face. it takes a while to be absorbed, but afterward there's no tackiness. if you look at their website, there's an instruction to massage the serum in certain way. i tried to follow it whenever i remember, but unless you use it at night, it's a hustle to massage it everytime. i use two pumps for my whole face and neck. if you have sensitivity to alcohol or extracts, you should look at the ingredients list because all sulwhasoo products have long ingredients list.
how it looks like on my hand
after blended
the result: it's a moisturizing serum. after adding this serum at night, my skin starts to get better. before i only use an essence, a toner and a moisturizer but the moisturizer contains vitamin a and vitamin c derivatives so my skin got dry after awhile. then after adding this serum, it starts to get better. i can counteract the dryness effect from the moisturizer with this serum. as for the brightening, i can see my complexion is brighter in the morning, but it doesn't help much with acne scar. i'd need separate brightening serum for those scars.

honestly, i'm a bit disappointed with this serum. it doesn't wow me like the FCAS. but i do like the scent. it's very relaxing for me. i just wish they make the FCAS in gentle blossom scent permanently. then i'd gladly buy the FCAS gentle blossom again. anyway, this serum is quite heavy, so even though i think it might be suitable for all skin type, you might need to adjust it with your routine. if you have oily skin, you might want to adjust the product that you use together with this serum. if you have dry skin, this might not enough. so adjust it according it to your needs. as for me, i probably won't repurchase it. price wise, sulwhasoo is a high-end brand but lately they've been on sales during special dates on marketplaces, so make sure to follow their IGs and stay tune for their sales promotion.
i still have two moisturizers that i bought from japan that i haven't used yet. both of them contain retinyl palmitate so i was a bit worried that it might cause breakouts since i've been using retinol serum regularly. but i remembered the sana cream one was pretty mild, so i decided to try the momopuri gel cream first since i've tried sana one. i hope i can finish the big jar ASAP.

this is the description from their website: contains lactic acid bacteria and peach ceramide to be applied. plenty of moisture and elasticity, plump skin care series. 8 billion lactic acid bacteria for one pearl grain! essence in gel cream that can be used either as an all-in-one or in combination with lotion. for healthy skin every day.
- lactic acid bacteria: approximately 320 billion in one gel cream! contains the lactic acid bacterium EC-12 strain that focuses on the indigenous bacteria on the skin. makes your skin elastic with lactic acid bacteria.
- peach ceramide: a skincare product that contains peach ceramide, a moisturizing beauty essence that is made in japan.
- tightening pores: bergamot fruit extract/ peach leaf extract, vitamin c derivative/ hyaluronic acid/ vitamin a/e combination (all moisturizing ingredients).
a slight peach scent.
ingredients list: water, dimethicone, methylgluces-10, pentylene glycol, glycerin, diglycerin, BG, squalane, arginine, enterococcus faecalis, corn oil, ascorbic tetrahexyldecanoate, tocopherol, retinol palmitate, sodium hyaluronate, phytosteryl glucoside/ glucosyl ceramide, bergamot fruit extract, peach leaf extract, (hydroxyethyl acrylate/ acryloyldimethyltaurine Na) copolymer, (acrylate/ alkyl acrylate (C10-30)) crosspolymer, sorbitan isostearate, Na oleate, silica, polysorbate 60, polyglyceryl-5 laurate, EDTA-2Na, phenoxyethanol, fragrance, cyanocobalamine, iron oxide.
the box
the packaging: this comes in a pink plastic box with the picture of peach at front and a bit transparent plastic window so you can see the tub from the outside. descriptions on the box are all in japanese. the cream comes in light pink plastic tub with screw cap without any spatula. the size is 80g which is quite a lot for a moisturizer. usually they only come in 30 or 50 ml size.
description in japanese
the scent: they said that it has a slight peach scent. and it really is. the peach scent is barely there. i can't even smell it even when i try to sniff it up close. i think the toner has stronger peach scent than the cream.
ingredients list
the product: the title said that it's a gel cream, and it really is. it's a pinkish gel cream. it's a bit cool to touch and it's easy to spread around. it layers well with other skincare products. as you can see in the ingredients list, this one still contains dimethicone. me personally don't have any problem with dimethicone, but i know some people avoid it, so just so you know. it also contains derivative of vitamin c and vitamin a, but both are the weak ones. at the moment i'm not using separate vitamin c serum, but i use separate retinol serum. as for the moisturizing ingredients, this one packs with glycerin, BG, squalane, tocopherol and sodium hyaluronate.
the tub
how it looks like inside the tub
the result: as an occlusive product, this is quite lightweight, but surprisingly the cream holds well until the next morning. when i wash my face in the morning, i can feel a layer of it still there on top of my face. it gives a bit glowy finish, but don't rub it too much. it might pill when you rub it too much. anyway, as i've mentioned before, i use separate retinol cream. when i first use both, my skin can tolerate them well. but after a week, my skin starts to suffer. when i finally finished the retinol serum and decided to back to basic, my skin starts to improve. so, it'd better to use them separately if you're using both retinol serum and this cream.
the cream on my hand
after patted it in
somehow i feel that this cream similar to my previous sana retinol cream. but it's been awhile since i last use sana, so i might be wrong. anyway, as i've mentioned before, this cream reacts negatively when being used in combination with retinol serum, so better use them separately. price wise, honestly i forgot. momopuri has been available at sociolla but i'm not sure whether this gel cream is also available or not. considering that there are so many local brands just released their moisturizer, i won't repurchase this one. not because it's bad, but because i'm a curious being. i think this will suit all skin type, but considering this is a gel type cream, dry skin might not like it, but you can try it. this contains retinyl palmitate, so keep that in mind to properly hydrate your skin while using this moisturizer.
this was the new product from biobeautylab. so far they only have 3 products in their lineup, two oils and one essence. i've tried both oil (you can read about the luxurious oil here and the acne oil here). it was sold out when it was first released. at that time, i still had my essence, so i didn't buy one. but now, i've finished mine and it was available when i was looking for a new essence, so i bought it. let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their official marketplace page and description on the box: a daily anti-aging essential that include high concentration of galactomyces, phytoliquid ginseng, following with niacinamide and centella asiatica extract that softens and encourages natural glow to the skin. it's a powerful moisturizing with deep hydration while maximizing the performance of your skincare regime. essence that acts as pre-serum as well to maximize skincare products afterward (serum/ ampoule/ moisturizer). formulated with 74% active ingredients: phytoliquid ginseng, galactomyces, centella asiatica extract, niacinamide, camellia leaf extract, cotton seed extract, yeast ferment extract, garlic bulb extract, allantoin. the ingredients are useful to moisturize, brighten, soothe skin and give fresh energy to the skin. Used first time after washing your face, to prep the skin so it can absorbs other skincare so it works maximally and make them works better.
the box
ingredients list: aqua, galactomyces ferment filtrate, butylene glycol, panax ginseng root extract, nicotinamide, glycerol, centella asiatica extract, glycerin, pentylene glycol, xanthan gum, camellia sinensis leaf extract, gossypium herbaceum (cotton) seed extract, allantoin, yeast ferment extract, phenoxyethanol, allium sativum (garlic) bulb extract, 1,2-hexanediol.
description on the box
the packaging: it comes in a dual tone box, white and grey. there's description on the box in english and indonesian as well as the complete ingredients list. they seal the top and bottom of the box with seal stickers. the essence itself comes in pearly white plastic bottle with pump head that's covered by transparent plastic cap. the essence only comes in 50 ml. the bottle is see through so you can see the remaining product inside from the outside. there's a bit description and the main ingredients printed on the bottle as well.
ingredients list
the bottle
the scent: it is scentless, and no foul scent at all. i think it's good because all skin types even the sensitive ones can try this essence.
pump head
the product: it's a watery type essence. it's a bit viscous, but just a tiny bit. not entirely watery like my previous erha essence. since this is watery, it's easy to spread around and it's easy to patted to my skin as well. but it has that siliconey feeling that feels like there's a film on top of my skin, if you understand what i mean. but it doesn't mean that it sits on top of your skin. as suggested, this is a pre serum, so it's meant to be used after washing your face. but i've tried both ways, before and after toner. if i used it after toner, i like it because my toner is more watery, so somehow i feel like the essence doesn't prevent the toner from being absorbed to my skin. but when being used before toner, somehow i feel the hydrating effect is stronger than the other way around. i use two pumps for my whole face and neck.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: well, this supposed to add moisture and brighten your skin. for moisture, i have to agree, but if you use stronger acids, then you should add another serum. my skin has been going awry again, so i started to use less products. i've been using toner, this essence and emulsion for morning and afternoon, and change the emulsion to heavier moisturizer at night. this works well for awhile, but since my moisturizer contains vitamin a derivative, after a week i notice that it doesn't help much with hydration so i have to add another moisturizing serum. as for brightening effect, it helps fading acne scar, but i don't see soothing effect much.
after patted it in
i'm on the fence with this one. i do see that this one adds moisture and hydration to my skin, also helps brightening a bit, but it might takes some times to see the difference. but there's nothing special that makes me want to keep using this. unlike my previous essence, i feel this one just so-so. there's nothing that makes me want to keep using this all the time. especially that this one only comes in 50 ml at a higher price point too, so i'd probably won't be repurchasing this one. but if you want to find an essence that's an all rounder that this one (hydrating, moisturizing and brightening) and don't mind that it comes in smaller size, then you should try this. i think it will be suitable for all skin types. since this is a local brand, of course it'd be easier to buy. you can get it through their official marketplace, sociolla or other reseller.
