sulwhasoo bloomstay vitalizing cream

the pandemic made me buy my first high end skincare products. sulwhasoo. i obviously has been interested in them for so long. but i never bought anything from them mainly because i think even though i bought some sample size, i wouldn't be able to buy it again in full size if they weren't on sale. anyway, i decided to get it at last because they were constantly having sales during special dates on marketplace. i bought two sets with separate GWPs, the bloomstay serum set and the FCAS set. i've tried the toner and the FCAS in plum blossom from the bloomstay serum set, so it's time for the cream.

this is the description from their website: a next level cushiony cream that helps visibly firm and impart hydration so skin looks refreshed and dewy. bring balance to skin while adding a dose of dewy moisture with this cushiony cream containing antioxidant-rich green plum blossom and yuzu extract. the formula draws hydration, enhances radiance, and visibly firms.
the star ingredients in this weightless gel-cream are antioxidant-rich green plum blossom and a nourishing blend of five fruit and seed extracts, including yuzu extract, that work synergistically together to seal in moisture, help even out skin tone, and deliver radiance.

the packaging: i bought this as a set so it comes in a pretty pink box, with products list at the back. all the products are placed on a plastic tray so everything came safe and sound. all the bottles in bloomstay lines are pink, soo prettyy... the cream itself comes in a small pink chubby pot with screw cap. it's like a miniature of the full size one. the sample only comes in 5 ml, which is very tiny.

the scent: all bloomstay lines has the same scent. they described it as plum blossom scent. well, i don't know what plum blossom is, but all i can say that the scent is quite fragrant but comforting and relaxing at the same time. i have a sensitive nose, but i like the scent very much.

how it looks inside
the product: just as described, it's a cushiony cream. bouncy to touch but quite thick. since they don't provide spatula and the opening is quite small, you have to use your own spatula to pick up the product. it's thick but still spreadable. honestly, looking at the ingredients list, i'm not a fan since it contains a bunch of extracts and the ingredients list is quite long. if you have reaction, you might not know which one that cause the reaction. anyway, several ingredients worth noticing are butylene glycol, glycerin, squalane that are moisturizing and niacinamide and licorice root extract that are brightening as well.

the result: it's quite thick but absorbed well. it contains dimethicone, that's why it gives the usual layer on top of your skin that you usually get with products with silicone. as for me, i don't have any problems with it, but if you have problems with silicone, you might want to skip this. that's why this cream even though it's rich, but somehow it gives a bit matte effect. a bit tacky feeling, but not annoying. i use this at night, but if you have drier skin, i guess you can use this in the morning as well. so far i only notice the moisturizing effect. as for radiance, i use niacinamide serum separately, so it might works synergistically with this cream. i can see that my acne scars are fading quickly since using this cream regularly.

i have to say this cream is a bit weird. it's rich but not as rich as blithe tundra chaga one. i think it's more suitable for combination or normal skin rather than dry skin type. i guess if you want to try sulwhasoo but you're afraid that it might be too rich for your skin, you should try the bloomstay line first. as for me, the after feeling is weird, so i don't think i would buy the full size.
