if you've read my post before, you'd find out that i've been buying travel set for my europe trip, mainly because there's transit time in between flight so i don't want to bring bigger bottles with me, only enough for 1-2 uses during my transit at the airport, or the morning when i just arrived at my destination. or on the plane. anyway, i've used the maintain and hydralive during the trip but since i only use it once or twice, there's some left so i intend to finish them all now.
this is the description from their website: a facial cleanser for dry and dehydrated skin. provides moisture in every layer of the skin and keep skin youthfulness. formulated with 8 layer of HA, triple ceramide, cucumber and rice water.
key ingredients:
- 8 layers of hyaluronic acid: 8 different HA molecule that can provide and lock skin moisture in every layer of the skin to the outermost layer.
- triple ceramide: maintain skin barrier balance and strengthen skin barrier, helps prevent premature aging, reduce skin sensitivity.
- cucumber: help reducing skin irritation and moisturize the skin.
- rice water: helps brighten the skin and disguises dark spot.
this set included:
- hydralive+ moisture lock gel cleanser 5 ml
- hydralive+ moisture lock skin drink essence 5 ml
- hydralive+ moisture lock serum 5 ml
- hydralive+ moisture lock everyday moisturizer 5 ml
the packaging: it comes in jelly pouch with zipper. all the tubes inside come with greyish plastic tube with similar design. for hydralive, the text is dark blue and they numbered the order of use, so cleanser is number 1. it's good for beginner since they'll know which one to use first. anyway, the cleanser comes in greyish plastic squeeze tube with screw cap. it's very tiny so be careful not to lose the cap. since it's only 5 ml, i can only manage to use it for around 4 times.
the scent: the hydralive one does have scent, like floral but it's very subtle. i don't mind the scent at all since it's quite comforting, but if you're sensitive to scent, you might want to reconsider it.
the cleanser tube |
the product: it's a bluish gel type cleanser, which is quite runny so be careful when you tip the tube over. with just my palms, i can't make it bubbling. but with my foreo, it bubbles a lot. and yeah, it works just as well with my foreo.
how it looks like on my hand |
the result: it works well as second cleanser and it's not drying as well. it doesn't give the after effect, like there's a layer of film on top of my skin, like some non-drying cleansers are. however, compared to some non drying cleanser that i've tried before, this one is less hydrating.
all in all, for a short term use, i don't mind with this cleanser. it works well, it's not drying and it smells nice. i just wish the cap is not shaped like hexagonal since it's quite hard to open especially when my hands are already wet. i think even though they targeted the hydralive for dry and dehydrated skin, all skin types can use this cleanser. price wise, it's very affordable. availability? aside from their official website and marketplace, you can buy them from beautyhaul.
