avène travel set - thermal spring water

as i've said in my other post, i bought this because my flight got delayed and all my toiletries were in my luggage so i had no option but to buy another travel set that at least has facial foam, moisturizer and sunscreen. the only one that had the items that i want was avene, so i bought it. i was skeptical about the eau thermal water, but my friend was an avid fan of this one once, so i guess it won't hurt to try it now.

this is the description from their website: a unique thermal water spray is bottled directly at the source and packaged in a sterile environment for guaranteed purity. its composition is clinically shown to soothe, soften and calm sensitive skin.

the whole set
key ingredients:
- mineral properties: does not dry skin, helps improve skin texture, softens and restores skin barrier.
- biological properties: rich in postbiotic microflora to calm and soothe the skin.
the can
the packaging: it comes in a transparent zippered plastic pouch so you can see everything inside the pouch. the thermal spring water comes in white can with spray head that's covered with plastic cap. the size is 50 ml which is quite decent. the spray lets out a mist-like water so it's very fine and not annoying at all. the spray sprays the product in two different directions, one to the left and one to the right and everything in between. for my, the spray reached almost the whole width of my face so i don't have any problem with it. but if you have bigger or smaller face than mine, then you might not like it.
description at the back
the scent: this is scentless without any foul scent.
the spray head
the product: just as advertised, this looks and feels like water. really. it feels like spraying fancy water to your face. they say to let it sit for a minute or two before patting it, but it just drip down if i don't pat it instantly. since this feels like water, it's absorbed quickly and doesn't leave any tacky feeling at all. the spray can dispense the product continuously so i spray it around my face twice before patting it.

the result: i've tried using this on its own for several days and this one doesn't help with hydration at all. i've tried using more but the water seemed to vanish or completely absorbed. so, there's no soften the skin here. nothing just make my skin wet. as for soothing, i can't say as i do have some acne around i'm using this thermal spring water, but it's bad habit of mine for poking it until it burst, so it does make the acne inflame and red. so no there's no soothing effect here since the redness was caused mechanically.

as you can predict, i won't repurchase nor trying the full size one. this one is clearly a very expensive and overrated water. i just can't see how my friends can be a loyal user of this one. but, if i won't blame you if you like this product. i honestly can't say anything about recommendation since i don't see how someone could benefit from this product.
