innisfree jeju cherry blossom jelly cream

it's been awhile since i bought innisfree or other korean skincare. local brands have been on the rise lately, so i lost the interest in trying korean skincare for awhile. but i was interested in innisfree black tea line for awhile, so when it's 10.10? i decided to stop by their store and bought the ampoule and the essence (i thought this will be good to compare with the fresh kombucha essence). and.. that's how i forgot how korean brand likes to give samples and a bunch other freebies. i got a lot of freebies, some that i have tried and don't like. anyway, among them, there's some that i haven't tried, including this one. so let's see how it goes.

this is the translated description from their website: cream in gel texture that can give abundant moisture for dry and dull skin, makes it moist and fresh. moisturizer that's suitable for oily dehydrated skin. hydrating cream that's non sticky. moisten, brighten. for glass skin look. perfect combination in between formulation and texture. helps to give moisture for dewy shiny look, clear skin tone and smooth skin. feels the added moisture by betaine, soothing effect from cherry blossom leaf extract and brightening effect from niacinamide to make skin clear and glowing. floral and fruity scent from plants to express the beauty and the brightness of jeju cherry blossom in the spring.

description at the back
the packaging: since i got this as a sample, this doesn't come in any box nor with any seal. it just comes in a pink plastic tub with white screw cap. there's a bit description at the back of the tub. the size is 10 ml, which is okay for a moisturizer sample.
how it looks like in the tub
the scent: oh geez. after using a lot of scentless local brand products, somehow i forgot that almost all korean skincare products are scented. including this one. this one clearly has added fragrance as it's quite fragrant. all i can say that it is floral scent.
on my hand
the product: it's a transparent gel type cream that looks and feels like a jelly pudding. yes, it even jiggles when i shake the tub. it doesn't melt right away, but it does turn watery when i spread it all over my skin. it takes a minute to sink in though.
after blending it
the result: i have to say that i'm surprised with this moisturizer. at first i don't have any expectation since i know nothing about this moisturizer. but after using this, i'm impressed. it's just as advertised. it's hydrating and quite lightweight despite the jelly texture and it's brightening as well. i notice that my acne scar fades quicker in combination with exfoliator and vitamin c.

if you're looking for a lightweight moisturizer that's suitable for all skin type and doesn't mind the fragrance, then you can check this one out. i think this is suitable for all skin type but maybe not enough for dry skin especially at night or during winter days. as for me, i'd probably not going to repurchase this one nor buy the full size one mainly because i still have other products to try. but this one is a good one. price wise, it's supposed to be more expensive than local brands, but it's really up to you. availability, you can buy innisfree products from their offline and online stores.
