innisfree capsule recipe pack - bija & aloe sleeping pack

last year, i put together a list of my wishlist items for my birthday. and my sister is so generous. she didn't pick one or two, but mostly she got it covered. unfortunately, she didn't listen well. i was looking for the wash off capsule recipe pack from innisfree, and she got mixed. she bought me several sleeping pack capsule recipe instead of the wash off one. currently i get bored with sleeping masks, but i will try to use them up as fast as i can.

this is the description from their global website: a sleeping pack with bija and aloe that soothes sensitive skin and provides moisture. targeted for trouble care. skin trouble and soothing care with bija and aloe ingredients, a texture that absorbs into the skin freshly and moistly. a sleeping pack that soft absorbs into the skin.
the new packaging
the packaging: apparently this is the new packaging. although it looks the same, but it's not similar. the cap has color label and picture of the main ingredients of the mask. for this type, it's light green and it has some sort of plants picture, perhaps for indicating aloe and bija as its main ingredients. when you open the cap, you will see the silver seal and when you open it, you can see the sleeping pack. the old version only has a seal as its cap and a slit on the side, so when you've opened it, you have to put the seal through the slit to cover it up to avoid the product being dried out. unfortunately, the old version didn't work well since many still complains about it. so apparently the company listens and changes it. the cap of the new version can be put back to the tab and secure the opening, allowing the product inside to keep fresh for more than one use. the rest of the packaging is still the same. even the size is the same. at the back there's a sticker contains description and ingredients, which is all in english.

the silver seal underneath
the scent: okay, i don't know what bija is, so i have no idea how it would smell like. but it smells like herbal medicine! and quite awful too. although it's not that harsh, but still, the smell will linger for some time. i don't like herbal medicine, that's why i don't like using this sleeping pack.

sleeping pack inside the tub
the product: i've been used to creamy sleeping pack, so i'm a bit surprised when i saw that this is a gel sleeping pack. i never use one actually. it feels cold when i try to scoop it. it's transparent, but sometimes i think it has a little green tinge into it. it's easy to spread and absorbed faster than my goodal sleeping pack.

on my hand
the result: honestly, it's not as moisturizing as goodal sleeping pack, but i guess it's predictable. i used this every other day or add another day to make it 3 days-stretch, and it lasts for about 2 weeks. when i had acne, this helps calming it down, tone down the redness a bit, but not helping in preventing the acne.

after blending it in
i have to say, i'm not impressed with this one. it's not moisturizing enough to be considered sleeping pack, but i think it will be suitable for oily skin. it gives enough moisture without being too greasy. unfortunately, i'm not agree with this being targeted for trouble care. in fact, during my testing time, i've been getting acne here and there and when i switched back to my usual night cream, somehow the acne was getting smaller and then vanished. perhaps it's just me, so i wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for something for your troubled skin, but i didn't say you shouldn't try it yourself. after all, YMMV. but for me, i'm glad i finished that tub and i won't repurchase.
