i didn't know what drive me the other day. i was supposed to get the concealer. but somehow, it becomes my habit that i barely bought only one item, so i decided to grab another item. i was thinking about buying their foundation, but some people said that it oxydies badly. so i decided to hold back on the foundation, hoping my husband could get the essence one (turned out he couldn't.. so i ended up buying foundation from catrice). then i decided to get the primer. i think it will a good buy considering if i had to do my own makeup on my sister's wedding, then i will obviously need a primer. i don't use a primer on daily basis, but i will try to use it up.
the description from their website: minimizes unwanted shine, visibly refines the pores. makes foundation last longer, vegan. the ideal preparation for shine-free looks. the pore refining and anti-shine base minimizes unwanted shine and visibly refines your pores. the ultra-light formula also improves the durability of foundation. a true beauty perfectionist. dermatologically tested.

the tube |
the packaging: every catrice items come in a simple packaging, no box whatsoever, perhaps because that's where they cut the cost. so, the primer comes in a plain slim white plastic tube with black screw cap. at the back there's description and ingredients list all in english. since the tube is slim, it's travel friendly. they seal the product using plastic seal surrounding the tube body and the aluminium foil seal covering the whole inside.

the scent: i don't think i can pick up any scent, or if there's any, it's probably very subtle.

the spout |
the product: it's a white gel-cream-alike. i'm kind of surprised that it's a white gel/cream, considering it's a pore refining primer, i thought it would be more silicone-y or something. but don't worry about the white part though. once you spread it all over your face or wherever you want it to, it becomes clear. a little bit sticky before it all dries down.

the result: the pore blurring effect isn't as visible as maybelline pore eraser, but the anti-shine effect works okay. it holds my sebum production just fine and make my foundation looks flawless even on hot days like these. but recently i did some experiment in changing my skincare before using this primer. if i use niacinamide and sunscreen, the primer works well in preventing the sebum production. but, if i don't use niacinamide, the foundation on the sides of my nose will start to melt on super hot days like these days after about 4-5 hours.

the primer on my hand |
honestly, since i don't use primer on daily basis, i can't say anything about the possibility of it clogging the pores. but all i can say that it can hold the sebum production really good. but if you have super oily skin, this might not work on long hours especially if you live in hot and humid country. but if you have normal skin, then this might work okay. as for me, i only bought this because i probably need one in my sister's upcoming wedding, so perhaps i won't repurchase it since i don't use primer on daily basis. from price point, this won't hurt your wallet since it's very affordable.
