cezanne uv silk face powder

if you have read my other post about cezanne blush, then you might know that i have good experience with their blushes. when i went to japan, i decided to get more cezanne or canmake, but unfortunately, i couldn't shop as freely as usual because my kids were sick. so i only had one chance to shop and the shop didn't have many option, so i decided to just get the cezanne blush and a powder each from cezanne and canmake. i've already tried the canmake one, so i decided to try cezanne after finishing my essence powder.

this is the description from their website: a semi-matte, silky skin powder that is moist and smooth. elegant silk finish: the delicate powder provides a finish that does not feel heavy. soft focus powder, doesn't make pores or minor wrinkles stand out. dullness-correcting powder: diffusely reflects light to give your facial color a bright look. shine-preventing powder: absorbs excessive sebum, preventing the product from coming off. no cleansing needed, removing this makeup is extremely simple too, it comes off cleanly with just facial cleanser. though this is a powder with SPF 48/PA +++ , it provides powerful protection against uv rays.
there are two shades, 01 light and 02 natural.

the packaging
the packaging: just like the canmake powder, this one comes in a plastic box that has the shade number at front and also a bit of description at the back. the powder compact is made of plastic and it has this gold and white combination. at the back of the case there's another sticker label but everything is in japanese. there's a full size mirror inside the top part of the case, and a puffy puff similar to canmake one. the puff is separated with a plastic separator from the powder pan.

the color: it only has two shades, and i pick 01 light. and apparently, although at first it seems okay, but lately i think it's just a notch too dark for me. if i only use it for short time, it's barely noticeable. again, not too great of color selection, but asian brands are not that great in shade selection. so actually, transparent option would be great.

the compact case
the product: the pan has this floral pattern around the pan rim. the powder feels silky and soft when i swatched it with my finger. and it does apply well. but there's this thing with this powder. it feels okay at first but after a few layers, the powder feels dry and it seems not as good as when i first using it.

the sponge puff inside and the full size mirror
the result: i've tried using this with fluffy brush and the puff that comes with the powder. using fluffy brush will give you sheerer result. you put powder without looking like you're putting powder. it doesn't look powdery but it doesn't give you any coverage. using the puff however, will help with the coverage. my face look silky smooth when i'm using the puff, especially on my nose area where my pores are noticeable. but as you might guess, you might look cakey if  you put powder all over your face with the puff. as for the sebum controlling, it works fine, but not as good as essence one.

the pan inside
swach on my hand (it's barely noticeable at first,
but on my face, somehow it gets darker as time goes by)
honestly, at this point, the powder feels dry. it doesn't hold my sebum as good as my essence one. let me tell you though, when i used my essence powder, the weather isn't as severely hot as when i use the cezanne one. but still, i can see my nose shines after couple hours. couple with the difficulty to get enough coverage without looking cakey, i don't think it's worth repurchasing. however, if you want to try this yourself, then you should get one because it's very cheap. unfortunately, this brand is not available widely, so unless you can get this online or buying this while in japan, it's hard to get this brand in affordable price. as for me, definitely won't repurchase.
