when i first came to japan, i bought their eyeliners and mascaras. but after trying their mascaras, not all of their famous one work for me. but their eyeliners do. that's why i always buy another one when i visit japan. i usually use gel liners, but since using japanese liquid eyeliner, i always use liquid eyeliner. one in brown, and one in black. the only one that comes a bit short is k-palette one. other than that, everything is okay. i've tried dejavu and dolly wink and i like them all, and now i'm buying d.up one because i saw the cosme sticker on it. let's see how it goes.
this is the description from their website: ultimate smudge-proof addictive smoothness. easy drawing. ultra smooth application, easy-to-use extra fine brush. smudge proof. strong resistance to water, sweat and sebum. 24-hour wear, quick drying. contains beauty serum, 5 kinds of beauty serums (moisturizing ingredients) included - rosa canina fruit extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, succinoyl atelocollagen, rosa centifolia flower extract, sodium hyaluronate. quick drying, dries just in a few seconds after application. no mess. washable by face wash, no colorants will remain on your skin.
the packaging: it comes in a weird packaging. it has hard plastic to secure the product with a cardboard insert with description at the back in japanese. you can read the shade name at front. the eyeliner is hold in the middle. but at the back there's this weird bulge which i don't know what it is for. another weird thing about japanese product is they put the price at the back of the packaging as well so you know how much it is. here in indonesia, they only put the price on medication as it is a rule for not playing the medication's price. but not on beauty products. i bought this last year, so the packaging is different now, but it is still similar.

the shade: there are three shades for the liquid eyeliners, black, brown black and natural brown. i pick the brown black one. the natural brown one seems a bit like reddish brown while the brown black is just ordinary brown eyeliner.
the eyeliner |
the brush tip |
the product: it comes in a brown slim pen, with tiny sticker label at the bottom. the body is color-coordinated with the shade. the tip is slim just like dejavu one. it glides on smoothly on my eyes without any problem. it is a brush tip just like dejavu and dolly wink, but it's easy to use even though you're a beginner. somehow their brush tip is not as flimsy as old liquid eyeliner brush tip. it's as easy as felt tip one, probably because it comes in a pen shape.
you can draw thin or thick lines |
the result: i can't say about their longevity since i only use this for about 3 hours. i haven't tried using it longer than that because of the pandemic. but when it's fully dried, it stays put even though i try to rub it with my finger. i also run it under running water and rub it again when it's wet. it's still there. but when i use a bit of soap and rub it really hard, it easily washes off. so i guess all the claims are true.
left: it's still there even after splashing it with water right: washes off easily with a bit of soap and water |
definitely putting this in my rotation list along with dolly wink and dejavu. price wise, this one is a bit pricier compared to dolly wink, but still affordable in my opinion. i only use this for a month or so, but i think it will last long time just like dolly wink and dejavu, so it's worth the price. if you're looking for a good long lasting eyeliner but easy to wash off, you might want to consider this one. again, d.up is a more widely known brand like heroine and dolly wink, so it might be easier to find online. but for me, i don't see any online shops selling this one, so i might resort to local brands one before i can get his again from japan.
