some by mi snail truecica miracle repair starter kit - low pH gel cleanser

if you have read my previous posts, you'd find out that i bought some by mi snail truecica sample kit. it contains 4 items, the cleanser, toner, serum and cream. i've tried all three except the foam. so it's time to try the last item from the kit. so far, i like the cream, hate the toner, and indecisive about the serum.

this is the description from yesstyle: a low pH gel cleanser featuring snail truecica to leave skin cleansed, soothed, and protected, all without over-drying or stripping the skin. benefits: a mild and gentle cleanser with low pH value (5,5), the truecica soothes skin and strengthen skin barrier. repairs skin with black snail extract to heal damaged skin. improves skin barrier quickly with 17 types of amino acid complex. strengthens skin barrier with ceramide and creates moisture barrier with panthenol.

the packaging: the mini kit comes in a red holographic cardboard box with the picture of all products inside at front. at the back, you can read the description of each product in korean. maybe they put ingredients list on it as well, but i never know. the cleanser itself comes in red plastic tube with black plastic screw cap. there's a bit description at the back in korean as well. the cleanser comes in 30 ml size, which is the usual size for mini cleanser. they seal the opening, typical korean style to secure the product.

the scent: it has lemon scent, quite subtle, but i can still smell it when i put it on my face. somehow it reminds me of my sofa leather cleaner, which also smells like this.

the gel cleanser on my foreo
the product: it's a gel type cleanser, just like the description. i only need a pea size amount for my whole face and neck. at first, i thought this is a non foaming cleanser since it's a low pH one, but i was wrong. it's still bubbling, but not as much as bubble foam. with my hands, the bubble is not much. but with my foreo (yes, i can use it with my foreo, thankfully), it bubbles more.
using foreo it's bubbling up
the result: as you might have guessed, there's no stripping clean feeling from this cleanser. i can even feel a layer of moist left behind. either that or the cleanser doesn't work well and there's some residue left behind. but so far, i don't experience any acne so i think it cleanses okay. since i don't have any pH strip test, i can't say anything about the claim of the cleanser's pH.

now i can say that i like the cream, hate the toner, indecisive about the serum and so-so about the cleanser. i think it would be okay for all skin types, but maybe dry skin might benefit from this cleanser most. if you're concern about the pH of your cleanser, then this might be a good option for you. but if you have concern about the scent, then cosrx good morning cleanser could be a good option for you. i have to say that this cleanser reminds me of cosrx good morning one, but since i've used it so long ago, i can't remember for sure. would i buy the full size version? i don't think so. i don't like the texture and the after feel, so i guess i'll just stick to foam cleanser for now.
