sulwhasoo snowise brightening cleansing foam

i finally give up and make my first splurge. so far, i've been trying drugstore-priced products mainly because i believe even though it's cheap, it still works. but i've been interested since forever, so i asked my husband if i could buy them when it's on sale. there are two set that i'm interested in, at first i just buy one, the bloomstay set. but then i couldn't resist not to try the original FCAS, so i bought another set. both set comes with several gifts, and this is one of them. somehow the snowise line is not that popular, but let's see about it.

this is the description from their indonesia official website (the international one doesn't have the foam in their product line): cleansing foam as well as brightening face with soft texture like milk and contains white clay. face cleanser with white clay component - cleanse dirt on face until clean and look fresh. face is clean and feels fresh. soft foamy texture like milk which changed into foam and clean face without leaving any residue.

the gifts from buying the basic set
the packaging: since i got this as freebies, there's no packaging. it's just a pearly white plastic tube with usual sulwhasoo screw cap (a bit chubby if you know what i mean). they seal the opening so there's no product spill during transport. it comes in 30 ml which is a decent size for travel size face wash. there's a bit description in korean at the back of the tube.
the tube
the scent: it has the sulwhasoo signature scent, which people call it "hanbang" scent. if i have to describe it, a bit ginseng scent and a bit medicinal mixed together. but it's quite subtle. if i remember correctly, the scent is similar to sulwhasoo overnight vitalizing mask, only the latter is quite strong.
seal on the opening
the product: it's a white creamy facial foam, quite thick but still spreadable. i only need a tiny bit for my whole face. i still can use it with my foreo, but the foam is much less than my usual hada labo foam wash. with my bare hands, i have to mix it with a bit of water then rub it well to create a bit foam before using it on my face. again, there's not much bubble foam, even less than using foreo. somehow i get the feeling that this is similar to cream cleanser. looking at the ingredients, it's said to have kaolin inside, so no wonder the color is opaque white. it does contain licorice root extract which is usually added to brightening products. and as always, it has a bunch of ginseng extract in it.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: i don't have any pH strip test so i can't say anything about the pH. i bet you can find it in some reddit page. anyway, after rinsing it with water, i can feel my face is clean but not squeaky clean. like there's still some moisture left, but not as soft as my hada labo. it does have glycerin and BG added in it, so maybe that's why this is not drying to my face. however, it still contains fragrance at the end of the ingredients list, so if you're avoiding fragrance in your skincare, even in face wash, then you might want to skip it. as for brightening, i can't say anything since at the moment i use a bunch of other brightening products in my skincare routine. all i can say it makes my face looks clean and fresh after washing it, but not more than other cleansing foam that i've used before.
mild foam when using only hands
so far it's okay, but just so-so. i don't know what to expect from a luxurious face wash. all i can say that it works well, it doesn't strip my skin, but i can't say anything about brightening effect. price wise? honestly all sulwhasoo products in full size are out of my budget. so, unless it comes in crazy sale price, i won't purchase the full size. for me their FCAS or serum might be worth the money, but for face wash? i don't think so.
