a friend of mine got this toner for herself but she ended up disliking it. so she gave it to me instead since she knew i like to try all sorts of skincare stuff. i've tried the original momopuri toner (you can read it here), and know i got the moist version. let's see how it goes.
this is the description from their website: contains lactic acid bacteria and peach ceramide to be applied. plenty of moisturizing and dense skincare series for bare skin. with a combination of lactic acid bacteria and peach ceramide, you can apply it to your bare skin. a moist type dense lotion that moisturizes even more from the skincare series "momopuri" is now on sale! white turbid type that fully moisturizes. a moisturizing, dense lotion that moisturizes well. a cloudy type with a rich and dark feel, for plump and dense peach skin. for healthy skin every day. lactic acid bacteria: contains the lactic acid bacterium EC-12 strain that focuses on the indigenous bacteria on the skin. makes your skin elastic with lactic acid bacteria. peach ceramide: a skincare product that contains peach ceramide, a moisturizing beauty essence that is made in japan. tightening pores: bergamot fruit extract contains vitamin c derivatives/ hyaluronic acid/ vitamin a/e/peach leaf extract (all moisturizing ingredients).

the bottle |
the packaging: since i got it from a friend, the bottle is already opened. but japan products usually have minimal packaging. the other lotion that i bought from momopuri only comes in a plastic bottle and they seal it with plastic sealing. i bet this one come in the same packaging as well. both lotion come in the same pinkish transparent plastic bottle with round pink flip top. there's a bit description as well as probably the ingredients list at the back but everything is in japanese. since both lotion come in the same packaging, make sure you read the name of the product at front. but you can differentiate them from the type of the toner. the original lotion or toner is transparent, while the concentrated one is milky white so the bottle looks a bit opaque because of the milky lotion inside. the lotion comes in 200 ml but it looks small because the bottle is slim and tall. if you're curious, they do sell refill pouch, but i don't know whether they sell it here in indonesia as well or not.
description at the back |
the scent: it smells like peach. and yes, it has added fragrance. the scent is quite noticeable so if you have problem with scented product, you might want to avoid it. both lotion smells exactly the same if my memory serves me right. for me personally, i can still handle the scent.
the opening |
the product: as i've mentioned before, this is a watery type toner, but it's not completely transparent like the original one. this one is milky white. but it only takes seconds to absorb. i don't feel tacky feeling afterward. if you're wondering the difference between the concentrated lotion and the original one, the concentrated one has glycerin as its second ingredients and put the dipropylene glycol a bit behind, while the original one put dipropylene glycol second and glycerin third. other things in the ingredients list are the same.
how it looks like on my hand |
the result: it's been awhile since i used the original one, so i can't say for sure about the difference between the original and the concentrated one. all i can say that it gives a punch of hydration and moisture. it might not be as rich as the sulwhasoo toner. compare to sulwhasoo, it is still lightweight. but weirdly, my skin loves this as well.
after patting it |
i have to say for a watery type toner, this gives a right balance of hydration and moisture. at first i was afraid that it might be too rich, but i was wrong. compared to sulwhasoo, this is more lightweight. sulwhasoo gives more moisture than hydration, but this one gives a bit more hydration than moisture. i think this toner can be used for all skin types, but maybe normal or combination skin will love it more. as long as you don't mind with the scent, then this might be a good option for you. but if you avoid fragrance, you might want to skip it. momopuri is now available at sociolla, so it's easy to get now. price wise, honestly i don't know. i also don't know how it would compare to the price in japan. as for me, local brands are releasing new toners, so i won't be buying another one after finishing this one.
