if you read my other post, i bought the glowinc acnecore travel kit as i want to try them all. if you didn't know about glowincpotion, they're the sister brand of somethinc. the way they arrange the product lines up make it easier to find products for your need. they separated the products according to the skin type/skin problem/target. each line has only 4 products so it's very simple to follow, even for a beginner.

items in the travel set:
- clear AC low pH gel cleanser 5 ml
- clear AC toner 5 ml
- clear AC serum 5 ml
- clear AC everyday moisturizer 5 ml
the packaging: i bought this as a set so everything is placed in a mini jelly pouch. the moisturizer packaging is similar to the cleanser so make sure you read the label right. it comes in a grey plastic squeeze tube with screw cap. the opening is as big as the cleanser one and both come in 5 ml size. for moisturizer, usually travel size/sample size comes in 5-10 ml so this one is still a decent one. there's only ingredients list printed at the back of the tube since it's really small.

the scent: i can totally say there's a hint of tea tree. it's very subtle and i can barely smell it when i put it on my face.
all the products inside |
the product: the moisturizer is yellowish cream that has a slight gel texture into it. it's quite thick for a moisturizer that's targeted oily skin/acne skin. i thought it would be watery like elsheskin one, but i was wrong. maybe because this moisturizer is supposed to be used day and night, so they have to settle for something in between. still acceptable for daytime use but still occlusive enough for night time. looking at the ingredients, just like the cleanser, it use turmeric water as the base, which is something new as usually other brand would just use regular water. it also contains lots of moisturizing agents like BG, glycerin, several types of ceramide and cholesterol. it also contains tea tree extract that's famous to help with problematic skin.

the result: right off bat i can say that this is heavier than my previous elsheskin moisturizer or even the hale one. at this time, i use SNP peptide toner, somethinc hylapore serum (that's supposed to help with sebum as well) and this moisturizer in the morning. and at noon, i can see my t-zone starts to get oily. at first, after freshly applied it will look a bit matte, but it doesn't hold long. well, as for acne prevention, it might not work miraculously as i still have acne especially after wearing a mask. but the acne wasn't the cystic one and it heals pretty quickly.

i have to say that i still like elsheskin moisturizer more than this one. but, if you use the set as a whole, it might not as bad. i've tried the toner and the serum when i took pictures of them, and both the toner and serum turns matte, so probably if the moisturizer is combined with the other two, it might not as oily as if being used on its own. i think the glowpotion gives a nice idea for beginner that don't know where to start or for those who doesn't like complicated steps. you just need to find the right type for your skin though. price wise, it's still affordable.
