actually this was one of the serum that i was interested in when i saw it being launched. but unfortunately when i bought several dear me beauty serums, this one was unavailable, so i decided to wait. lucky for me, when i was strolling around sociolla last time, i found this one in sample size, so i decided to grab it.
this is translated from their catalogue: 8% snap 8 peptide is the next generation anti aging ingredient from argireline that's widely known to fight aging signs. it helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tighten skin and maintain skin elasticity, boost skin hydration, help skin barrier function. pH 5-5,5
suitable for aging skin, uneven skin texture, damaged skin barrier
snap 8 peptide used in this serum is a vegan friendly one. this serum can be botox alternatives, which helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and makes the skin looks younger.
ingredients: water, phenoxyethanol, aloe barbadensis extract, persea gratissima (avocado) fruit extract, glycerin, propylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, acetyl octapeptide-3, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, soluble collagen
the packaging: just like the other serums from this line, they all come in white box with another color combination that's coordinated according to its function. red for hydrators (which i've tried almost all of them, i think i only have one left in this line that i haven't tried), yellow for acid (BHA, vitamin c and stuff), purple for retinol, and for this one, somehow it's green. it's the only serum in the green line. there's description all over the box in indonesian as well as the ingredients list. you can crack open the box and there's additional description on the inside. the serum itself comes in light-bulb shaped glass bottle with color coordinated neck and dropper to dispense the product. there are two sizes, the 12 ml (sample size) and the 32 ml (the full size). it's weird since usually they will be 10 ml and 30 ml, but who's complaining? anyway, i think the dropper for the sample size is too short that i have to pour it straight from the bottle when i reach three quarter of it. the dropper for the full size is decent that i only need to pour it for 2-3 times before i finish the whole stuff.

the scent: i don't think it's scented but there's no weird scent as well. so, yeah, it's suitable even for sensitive skin.

the product: i've tried other brand's peptide serum, and there's on thing in common between them, they all are on the thick side. so obviously, seeing this serum is called peptide and avocado extract serum, i think that it'll be thick as well. but no, i was wrong. this serum is transparent and liquid, just like water. i was surprised when i tried it the first time. anyway, since the dropper is really small, i use three droppers for my whole face and neck.

the result: well, since it's liquid, then it's easy to absorbed within seconds. in fact, the first few times, i don't feel like using anything. it's wayyyy to runny for my night routine. after a few days, i start to notice that it's similar to the inoceramide one. it's more like hydrating rather than moisturizing. a tad moisturizing but not much. if you use retinol and other acid, i don't think using this serum is enough to counter the dryness effect. it layers well with my other skincare products, however, this is not something that i can use before using foreo bear.
okay, it's safe to say that i'm quite disappointed in this serum. i was hoping for a moisturizing one, but this one is definitely not. if you're looking for lightweight serum, then this might be a good option for you. since it's liquid, you can use it day or night and it will be suitable for all skin type. price wise, it's still affordable. as for me, no, i won't buy it again. i think votre peau peptide or somethinc one is more on my alley rather than this one. but don't let me stop you from trying it if you think this is something that you'd like.
