blp skin tremella daily hydrating kit - tremella daily hydrating serum

as i've mentioned in my other post, the world is started to heal and travelling has been resumed. we've been going out and about again, so that's why having skincare in travel sizes is a must for me. most of our travels were long haul, so i need something to keep in my backpack so i can use during transit. and since our travel usually only last 7-10 days, i don't feel the need to bring full size items, especially for toners, face washes and moisturizers. hence, skincare set hunting. blp is one of local brands that ventures into skincare when the pandemic hits. no one used makeup during pandemic, with the travel restrictions and WFH enforced, so they had to survive and they decided to make some skincare products. i've heard that they're quite decent, so let's see. i've tried the toner, so it's time to try the serum.

the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in blue box with outline picture of everything inside at front. at the back, there's description in indonesian. they seal the box with sticker. the serum itself comes in white plastic bottle with light blue label. it uses a pump to dispense the product and it's covered by another transparent plastic cap. they seal the bottle with plastic sealing. the serum is only 10 ml, but since i don't use it day and night, it's okay for traveling. there's another description and ingredients list printed on the back of the label of the bottle.

the scent: this serum doesn't have added fragrance but luckily it doesn't smell foul as well.

description at the back
the product: the serum is a cloudy transparent gel type serum. it's somewhere in the middle, not too thick, not too runny. i can easily spread it around with my finger. it doesn't take long to be absorbed and afterward there's no sticky feeling. it gives light glow to my face as well.

the result: this serum is just like the name, hydrating. it's very lightweight. a bit punch in terms of hydration, but nothing else. lately i brought this when i went to the US. i knew the weather would be cool and windy so it might be too drying for my skin hence the hydrating serum. considering the weather was not too cold, i thought this serum might be enough. but i was wrong. this serum was not enough. luckily on my second day there i found another hydrating serum so i added that one on top of this one and my skin got better. however, back here, this serum is enough for my skin, so really it depends on where you live and the weather.

so, this one is quite lightweight but still hydrating so it'll be enough for hot and humid weather. but if you live in four-seasons country, then this might not be enough for spring. i'm a bit disappointed with this one though. i thought with added ceramide, it will give a punch, but i was wrong. this is still too lightweight. anyway, the full size is 30 ml and the price is very affordable so if you're curious, then just buy it and try it yourself. i think it'll be suitable for all skin types, but it might not be enough if you have dry skin or using actives that might dry out your skin. as for me, nope, thank you.
