skinfood royal honey eye cream (anti-wrinkle)

hey! i've been itching to write something new, but since i have to try each product for several days to find out whether or not it's giving me breakouts, i have to wait. and probably in the next couple of days, i will write several reviews since some samples will finish. one that i want to review now is skinfood royal honey eye cream (anti-wrinkle). i love skinfood for no reason. i guess i'm attracted to brands that has natural ingredients or natural approach like innisfree and skinfood. but i also love laneige and missha, but it's a bit pricey, so probably i will put it on my wish list for the moment.

okay, back to the sample. it's a bonus sample from my testerkorea haul. probably i should tell you that all of the eye product that i've tried before, all failed me. the bodyshop shiso serum is brightening, but it was pretty thin, and the effect took a very long time to be shown. the vit c duo reviver (also from bodyshop) is okay if combined with the shiso serum. but i don't see the de-puffing and "brightening my dark circles" effect. so, i'm eager to try this one. though some said that this eye cream is a so-so.

what they said about it:
from their global website: a treatment eye cream with royal black honey and royal jelly extracts that moisturizes and adds a nice honey glow to delicate skin around the eyes. royal black honey is natural raw black honey from South Asian forests, one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. royal black honey enriches with a myriad of nutrients that are amazingly good for the skin.

okay. now my review.
the package: the full size product comes in a stripe tube like a bee's body, pretty cute though. but the sample is packaged in a yellowish sachet, like honey, i supposed. but not stripe like the real product. i always love skinfood because their samples are quite generous. this eye cream can last up to 6 days (i use it at night only).

the smell: i expect some honey scent in it, some people said that it does smell like honey, but my poor smelling senses can't pick up the scent. all i know it doesn't have weird scent or strong scent, which is perfect for eye cream. i supposed you don't want to put anything that has weird or strong scent around your eyes.

the product: it's a white cream, pretty thick compared to my shiso serum and vit c cream. since the whole royal honey cream is made to nourish the skin, i guess the thick cream is supposed to nourish the skin around the eyes. though it's said to have anti-wrinkle effect, but i have no say about it since i only try it for a week. for me, it just nourishes my eyes skin area better than my previous eye creams. it did help covering my fine lines combined with my shiso serum, but it doesn't have any effect on my dark circles. what i like about this cream is it doesn't make my eye skin area becomes oily though it's pretty thick.

so far, i like it better than my other eye creams, but buying the full size? i don't think so.. it doesn't have that special effect to attract me, so i guess i'll stick to the famous salmon brightening eye cream, my wish list in eye cream's list.
