i bought this along with several other pure smile masks when i went to japan. actually there's a lot more but i decided not to buy them all since i read somewhere that this mask is just regular. but hey.. we still need some daily masks, don't we? so i pick the snail one along with several other types.
this is the description from prettyandcute.com: contains ingredient to aide with anti-aging and delivers antioxidants to the skin allowing for a hydrated, smooth, and moisturized complexion. snail secretion filtrate is known to repair damaged skin from the sun's harmful rays, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. it also reduces fine lines and wrinkles making it an excellent anti-aging ingredient.
the packaging: this comes in regular sachet just like the rest of this line. there's description at the back, but as usual it comes in japanese.
the scent: this is definitely doesn't smell like snail (although i'm not sure how snail should smell like). a little bit boring though, it smells like any regular sheet mask. or wet tissue as usual.
the product: the material and cut is similar to other. this quite impressive, considering i've tried several types from etude and each has different cut. while this has similar cut even though it's different type. this mask is thicker than usual daily japanese mask, which is similar to regular korean sheet mask. the essence is enough, and there's still a little left in the packet but it's not enough to soak a table sheet mask. at first it adheres well but after 30 minutes the edges and the upper lip dries quickly.
the result: after removing it, it only need a minute or two before the essence completely sunk in. when i put this on, i immediately feel the cooling sensation. afterward i can see a bit brightening effect and it's moisturizing enough. i think it also leave a slight sticky feeling afterward, but it's not annoying.
again, this is your average regular sheet mask. this is not a life-saviour, one night wonder mask. so if you're hoping this will do some magic overnight, then you'd better not try it. but if you're looking for an option to your daily mask stash, then try this one. it's cheap and it does work, just not extraordinary.
