my husband liked the result from using babyfoot, so he told me to buy some more. unfortunately, he was surprised knowing that it was sold at Rp.150.000,- here in indonesia. quite expensive. so he decided not to buy more. so i was told to search something else, something as effective but cheaper. so i remembered tony moly and holika holika had similar product. so i went online and found holika holika. i bought 3, kept one for myself and then gave the rest to my in laws.
this is the description their canada website: seven day miracle! a simple one-step foot peeling pack for smoothening dead skin cells on coarse and chapped feet. no more rough and hard skin on your feet. it's a convenient peeling sheet that peels off the thickened and dead skin on your heels. contains 16 kinds of plants extracts and AHA which make your feet smooth like baby's feet.
the packaging: it comes in a box. it has cute face drawn on the feet soles, with some cute baby faces too. inside the box, there's a pair of plastic socks, a pair of foot-shaped sachet that contains the peeling liquid. there's description and instruction at the back of the box, in english fortunately.
the scent: oh yeah, this one also smells very fragrant. but again, you put it on your feet, far from your face, so it doesn't bother me. but if you're too sensitive to fragrance, then think twice.
the product: basically, you have to put the plastic socks on your feet first. then pour the liquid into the sock. they separated the left and right sachet, so it's easy to use. i pour the right sachet to my right foot and vice versa. i don't have to divide it myself, which is helpful. then you can tie the socks so you can walk around. but i recommend for sitting still while using this peeling socks. wait for 90 minutes. there's a layer of something that looks like sterile gauze, which will absorb all the liquid. when i walked around using the socks, i felt like i was walking under water, but when i tossed it, all the liquid is absorbed by the gauze completely. i don't like that i have to wait 90 minutes, which is too troublesome since i couldn't move around as quickly as i wanted to be and not as quietly as i wanted it to be.
the result: on the first couple days, nothing happened. on the fourth day, it started to slough off some dead skin cells, but just a little. not as much as i wanted it to be, unlike babyfoot that sloughed off some dead skin cells earlier. then on the sixth to eighth day, it sloughed off like crazy. and extensively. since all the liquid covers all my feet, it didn't only slough off dead cells from my soles but also from the back of my feet. and from sides of my toes. and it didn't stop after a week. it went on for almost two weeks and then i'm left with healthy and soft feet.
i like how it works well, just as well as babyfoot, maybe even better (let me remind you that i only use the remaining of babyfoot that my husband left me and i used this holika holika alone). but i didn't like that it needs 90 minutes! i literally cannot exercise or walk too far using these socks. oh, and i didn't use it for the whole 90 minutes. after 60 minutes, my baby woke up and refused to be nursed sitting on a chair. he wanted me to lie down beside him on the bed, so i gave up and took the socks off and washed my feet. price wise, i didn't know why i got it so cheap, while at the stores it is as expensive as babyfoot. i might have to check other online shop first before deciding whether it's really cheaper or not. if you have tried this, let me know what you think. especially if you have used tony moly. i'd like to hear your thoughts comparing tony moly and this one.
