this is the last type from the regular line that i bought from japan. honestly, i was intrigued by horse oil. about last year, it becomes famous ingredient thanks to korean beauty trend. i wanted to try it back then, but i was afraid too. i mean, horse oil?? really? i was afraid it might be too rich for my skin as it's promoted mostly for dry skin. so i keep postponing using this mask. but this is the last one, so i have to finish it someday.
this is the description from cosme website: this face mask brings elasticity and glow to tired skin and supports the activation of the skin's natural functions. prevents roughness and irritation to give you tight, firm skin. contains ceramide, collagen, hyaluronic acid and horse oil, it gives skin moisture and restores it.
the packaging: it comes in regular sachet, with the picture of the horse at front. at the back there's the instruction and ingredients list, which surprisingly, comes in english and japanese. i think it's the only one that has english translation.
the scent: okay, it doesn't smell weird if you're worried as i did. it smells just like regular wet tissue. not overwhelming, but the scent is detectable when open the packet. it stings my eyes when i freshly open the packet.
the product: the mask is made of stretchy cotton, doesn't feel papery at all. the fit is the same as the other, with weird bottom eye flaps. it has slit for adjusting the mask. the essence is clear and it's enough to soak the whole mask. no excess, though. the mask adheres well and i can put it on for about 15 minutes.
the result: after removing it, i can feel that my skin is moisturized and my pores appear smaller but it's just temporary. after massaging the rest of the essence, my face feels sticky for a while, but after it's completely absorbed, the feeling is gone.
i would say that even though it sounds weird, it doesn't feel weird at all. it does a good job. i think it will suit every skin types, although if you're super dry, then this might fall short on you. again, pure smiles mask are intended for daily mask use if you're asking me. if you want a special care mask, then this is not it. anyway, it's cheap so whether or not you buy it, it won't hurt your wallet.
