i bought this on my birthday. since my sister already bought me the acai and rice one, she only left me two choices, the honey one and the himalayan one. since i already had my freeman travel size masks, i didn't want to buy another clay mask, so i picked the honey one.
this is the description from their website: our ethiopian honey deep nourishing mask is an indulgent, honey-textured moisturizing mask which nourishes and hydrates the skin. this hydrating mask works to retain moisture, improve skin's condition and soothe dryness. replenishes, restores and comforts skin. skin feels instantly softer and smoother after the first use. boosts hydration.

the outer box |
the packaging: it comes in dark glass jar just like the rest from this line. but the colored label make difference. the ethiopian honey's label is yellow, while himalayan is green, british rose is pink, acai is red, and rice is white. the outer card box is from recycled paper i think. and it has description in english. there's a lid to keep the product separated from the fresh air.
the scent: i don't know how honey should smell, but i think this one smells like medicated honey. or synthetic honey. i can't say that i like the scent since i think it is fake, but i'll get used to it. thankfully it doesn't that strong, so the smell subsides with time.

the mask jar |
the product: the mask looks like marmalade jam. it's sticky and stringy like honey. i use my unused foundation brush to spread this mask on my face. i tried using my finger but it will take longer since it's sticky and stringy. it will be messy if i'm using my finger. it's hard to put more on top of the applied mask, but i need to put more since if i only apply a thin layer, it will dry out quickly. i also have struggle when i wash it off. it's slippery and it doesn't seem to budge when i wash it with my hands. since my last washcloth was stained by various masks, i decided not to use washcloth since some of them get mixed up with my son's washcloth. i think it will be easier to wash it off using washcloth.

the result: definitely moisturizing but if you don't apply it as thick as possible, then you won't feel anything. i also notice a little bit brightening effect, but it's temporary.

since this one is similar to the rose one, i might say i like the rose one better. this one is sticky and take more effort to wash it off. plus the scent. i feel like i have to drink cough medicine when i use this mask. although it gives good result, i think i won't repurchase this one. but if you have normal to dry skin, you might like this. or if you're a honey lover. as for oily skin or those who doesn't like sticky products, then you might want to try this at the counter before purchasing. price wise, it's quite expensive for me, but i can't find freeman's mask that's similar to this mask, so perhaps if i have to buy hydrating mask, i would buy the rose one.
