last time i was in singapore i didn't find more variation from my beauty diary. most variation that i found there i already had in my stash and i haven't finished them all, so i decided to just buy the natto fermented and aloe. at first i think aloe is just boring but at that time i have several breakouts that's quite irritating and red, so i think aloe will be a good option to help soothe my skin.
this is the description from beauteque website: the natural aloe extract, hyaluronic acid, and amino acids in this mask intensely hydrate and soothe your skin. a variety of fruit extract provide the enzymes and antioxidants necessary to promote cell renewal and allow skin to better diffuse light, giving your skin tone a vibrant, natural glow. rosehip essence improves dry, rough, or patchy complexions. this mask is ideal for sensitive skin that has been exposed to the sun, especially because of its gentle cooling effects.
the packaging: i bought a box of 8, which i think the new packaging for the new version. both the box and the individual sachet has the same design, but since i bought this in singapore, the box has english description at the back. unfortunately, i've thrown out the box. it's a light green background with aloe picture at front. on the sachet, the description at the back is in mandarin but the ingredients list is in english.
the scent: this is scented and pretty fragrant among all the my beauty diary masks that i've tried. but still not overwhelming, but not subtle either.
the product: this is the new formulation, so the mask fit is different than the previous mask that comes in slimmer sachet (mine was the hyaluronic acid, the bird nest, black pearl and sake). the mask is still thing but it doesn't feel stretchy, unlike its predecessor. this one feels a little bit papery. the fit is bigger too. taller forehead, bigger jaw, but i can still adjust it easily. it has plastic backing just like the older version.
the result: i put this one for about 30-40 minutes and it's definitely moisturizing and also soothing. i don't see any brightening effect.
i definitely agree that this one will help soothe your skin so i think very skin type can try this. unfortunately, it has fragrance so i think sensitive skin should think before using this mask. as for me, i have lots of my beauty diary mask in my stash so i don't think i will repurchase anything for now. i will have to use my stash quickly. but i do recommend this one if you're going to the beach, frequently get acne that need soothing or sensitive skin. this one is affordable and easily bought online or in store, so get this one if you could find any. and if you don't find this type, grab any my beauty diary mask that you could find because all of them are great.

left: before middle: mask on (notice that i have to fold top of the forehead part) right: after (if you could see pimples under my lip, you can see that the redness is slightly reduced) |
