ogx nourishing coconut oil weightless hydrating oil mist

my husband was away to the US last october and i wanted to make sure that i get things that i need want so i make a list of what to buy. one of the things in the list is hair oil. i tried one of ogx oil that i could find in grocery store near my house and i like it. but the price is higher than in US, so since my husband was going to US anyway, i might as well try another option. sadly, my husband only managed to get the coconut oil one.

this is the description from ulta website: an exotic and enticing blend of lightweight coconut oil to nourish strands along with hydrating bamboo extract for hair that is soft, touchable and healthier looking with each use. the more you use it, the healthier your hair looks! it mists on moisture and hydration, making your hair look nourished and healthier with each use! an infusion of lightweight coconut oil to nourish strands along with hydrating bamboo extract that adds shine and touchable softness.

the packaging: it only has plastic sealing, but nothing was leaked during the travel. the bottle is transparent plastic bottle with palm pattern (or is it coconut tree leaves?). there's description at front and the back both in english and spanish and ingredients list in english. it has spray pump head just like the kukui oil bottle, covered in transparent plastic cap.

the bottle
the scent: this smells like coconut, which i'm not accustomed at first. it's not overwhelming but still it's not something that i'm familiar with, so it takes time for me to being accustomed with it. if i have to choose, i like the smell of kukui oil better.

the back of the bottle
the product: this is another light oil mist. the spray is really fine. it sprays a fine layer of hair oil. i thought the kukui was pretty lightweight oil, but this one is more lightweight. it's even lighter than the kukui one.

the spray head
the result: this one is really lightweight. i've tried using this oil several ways. on damp hair, it feels not hydrating and nourishing enough. on damp hair i can feel the kukui oil works better. but on dry hair, this one works well. at first it will look like it dampen my hair, but after it's dried completely, it doesn't make my hair oily. it makes my hair silky and smooth and combing through my hair feels like combing through silk. but like i've said before, it's not nourishing enough. i can still feel my hair ends dry. and i can still see my hair a little bit frizzy even after putting it on.

i do like this one, but somehow i like the effect of the kukui oil better. i think it's well suited for oily hair. and if you have super dry hair and super frizzy, this might not help much. as for me, i think i will repurchase the kukui one if i could find it again. but if i couldn't, i will grab this one as substitute if this one is available. again, i don't say that this hair oil works wonder, but this one is an affordable option if you want to put extra care to your hair.
