origins ginzing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff

during holiday i like to stroll around sephora because they usually sell holiday kits which means i could buy mini sizes items. and i was lucky. i found good deals for origins sets during holiday, and then the cashier told me that if i rounded it up, i would get more origins stuff as free gifts. so i did. one of free gifts that i get is this eye cream. i've heard good stuff about origins ginzing moisturizer, so naturally i became curious about the eye cream as well.

this is the description from their website: a refreshing eye cream that instantly helps brighten, visibly diminish the look of dark circles and depuff for a wide awake look. it's formulated with panax ginseng and caffeine from coffee, this energizing eye cream instantly brightens and helps restore radiance to tired looking eyes as you help massage away visible dark circles, under eye bags, and puffiness.
ingredients: water, methyl trimethicone, butylene glycol, PEG-100 stearate, dimethicone, cetyl ricinoleate, silica, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, glycerin, behenyl alcohol, cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, panax ginseng (ginseng) root extract, Castanea Sativa (Chestnut) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Cordyceps Sinensis Extract, Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Pantethine, Panthenol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Caffeine, Coleus Barbatus Extract, Yeast Extract\Faex\Extrait De Levure, Folic Acid, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Jojoba Wax Peg-120 Esters, Biotin, Tribehenin, Myristyl Alcohol, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ascorbyl Tocopheryl Maleate, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Sodium Sulfite, Sodium Metabisulfite, Steareth-20, Dipeptide-2, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Sorbic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499)
the tube
the packaging: usually the mini size will looks similar to the full size items, but this time it is completely different. the full size comes in an orange tub with white screw cap, which is in line with the other products from ginzing line that comes in orange packaging. but the mini size comes in white plastic squeeze tube. there's a bit description at the back but it's limited since the tube size is really tiny. nothing similar to the full size one. it comes in 5 ml but little goes a long the way. i've brought this with me during my japan trip (about a week) and now i've been using it almost 3 weeks and there's still something left.
description at the back
the scent: i don't think it has added fragrance, but i you sniff quite hard, it smells rather unpleasant. a bit fishy. oh well, it might be a good thing for people who don't like added fragrance skincare, but for me, smelling unpleasant product because that's the natural scent from the ingredients is not a good experience either.
the eye cream on my finger
the product: it's a pink salmon cream. i think it has slightly gel consistency that changes into watery traces when you spread it around. at first i thought the salmon color is supposed to cover dark circles, but it's not. it doesn't have any coverage whatsoever, so it's a pure eye cream. it feels really lightweight compared to my previous eye cream, and since this one contains silicone, it absorbs easily and doesn't feel greasy afterward.
after spreading it on my hand
the result: i've been using this on and off during holiday, and i'm continuing using it after i'm being back home. it's been more than 2 weeks since i started using it regularly, but i only use it at night. i don't see any difference in my eyes area. it's a bit moisturizing, but not much. it doesn't help depuff my eyes, nor diminishes my dark circles. i have to say compares to my honey eye roll on, that one works better in moisturizing area, while my avoskin helps depuff a bit better than this one.
after one use, there's no change on both eyes
nothing change after one and a half month
again, no change on the other eye as well
you can clearly see that i don't like this eye cream. i can't imagine why i should spend a lot of money for thing that doesn't work. the full size is really pricey, so i guess i won't purchase the full size. i have a lot of other eye creams lining up in my wish list, mostly local brands, so finger crossed that i'll find something good soon.
