some by mi always make an appealing advertisement for their products. this time with their snail truecica, they claimed that their new snail line can repair damaged skin (from acne scar), which sounds impossible because scar could only be repaired by laser treatment, not just mere skincare. but since my skin always like snail, i thought i would try them in case my skin like them. i was hesitant to spend my money for full size thing, so i was lucky to find out that they sell mini set as well. i instantly bought it. i've tried the cream, if you're curious, you can read it here. this time i'll try the toner, so let's see how it goes.

benefit: a dual functional product: whitening and anti wrinkle. the truecica soothes and strengthen skin barrier. repairs skin with black snail extract to heal damaged skin. offers acne spot care to erase skin pigmentation and stop melanin production.
the packaging: the mini kit comes in a red holographic cardboard box with the picture of all products inside at front. at the back, you can read the description of each product in korean. i think they put ingredients list as well, but since everything is in korean, i'm not sure. the toner itself comes in a red plastic bottle with black plastic screw cap. there's a bit description at the back of the bottle. it comes in 30 ml size, which is usual for mini size toner.
the scent: it has medicated scent, which is quite strong. but it dissipates rather quickly too. probably because it contains a mix of several extracts.

the product: it is a watery toner, runny like water. it is absorbed really quickly. i thought at first because it contains alcohol, but i was wrong. it doesn't leave anything behind, no tacky feeling, nothing.

the result: as you can probably guess, this toner doesn't deliver what it's promised for. nothing is changed. i don't feel my skin is hydrated or moisturized. at the time i was testing this toner, i don't have any active acne, so i can't say anything about acne healing power. i have tried to layer this toner, and even at three layers or four, my skin still wants for more. that's why this mini size would be gone in no time if i keep just using this one. luckily, this one layers well under other skincare, and i don't have any problem with combining this with other product, so this might be a good thing. as for the brightening effect, since i only get to use this toner for about a month, i can't say anything yet.

that being said, you can say that i'm relieved i only try the small size. the full size one is quite big, so i can't imagine having myself to finish the whole bottle. now, as for recommendation, as some by mi products are usually controversial, i strongly suggest you try the sample size before committing to full size, though the full size one is not that expensive, but having to waste that much product is a no. if you have super oily to combination skin, you might try this, but i don't think normal to dry skin would like it. though you can layer it or combine it with other product as well, but i don't think it's worth it. another thing that i don't like is that they use so many plant extracts, so if you have sensitive skin, that might cause trouble. if you have reaction from using this toner, it would be troublesome to find which one that caused it. not all plant extracts are good. too much ingredients is not a good thing. for me it is. anyway, it is a pass for me. i won't purchase the full size.
