the body shop shea butter richly replenishing conditioner

i can't believe i haven't written anything about this. i usually reach for something that i can find in the supermarket for my hair products, but since the pandemic starts, i don't go to the supermarket so often these days, so i switch to other source. i pick the body shop because of their return bottle policy. i get to return the used bottle in exchange for points. i like the shea butter hair mask, so i think i'll try their conditioner as well. so i did and this is my second bottle.

this is the description from their website: the swansong in your shea haircare routine, our shea butter richly replenishing conditioner helps your mane feel intensely nourished - like it's got a good drink of what it needs to help keep it healthy and soft. although washing your hair regularly keeps it swish-ably clean, the blow drying and heat styling that follows can damage it, especially if you're upping tools too often. so, if your locks are dry or damaged from over-styling and what-not, don't fret- you'll be singing the praises of the body shop shea conditioner once you've added it to your in-shower karaoke sesh. use our shea conditioner post-shampoo to help fine-tune your hair from feeling dry to gently cleansed, conditioned and detangled, plus, all-importantly, less dry and frizzy. no doubt musing to your ears, hair doesn't feel stripped of moisture, but instead replenished.
ideal for dry, damaged hair in need of some love. hair feels intensely nourished and richly replenished after use. enriched with community fair trade shea butter from Ghana. nutty scent and rich, creamy texture.

the packaging: i bought it at store. it only comes in a plastic bottle with dark plastic flip tip cover and they only seal the flip top cover with a single plastic tape. the whole shea butter line comes with cream label and the picture of shea at front, so the hair conditioner comes with similar design as well. there's description at the back of the bottle. it comes in 250 ml, which doesn't look that much looking at the bottle size.

the scent: they say it has nutty scent, but i don't know for sure. for me it smells a bit fragrant and not annoying at all. in fact i like how i can smell it when i take my shower. again, i'm not someone who can stand strong fragrance, so the conditioner's scent doesn't bother me at all.
label at the back
the product: the conditioner is ivory white cream, with consistency similar to other conditioner. it's obviously more lightweight than the hair mask. i can spread it well and then i would leave it until the end of my shower before rinsing it off.
the flip top
the result: my hair is dry at the end but i have quite oily scalp. so i usually only put it from the end to half the shaft of my hair. i just massage my scalp with whatever remains on my fingers. after rinsing it off, i can feel my hair is smooth and easier to manage. but it doesn't last as long as when i use the hair mask. i also dye my hair and i have problem with hair fall as well. this hair conditioner doesn't help with hair falling issues, but it isn't for hair fall issues, so i have no problem with it.
the conditioner on my hand
for a hair conditioner, i have no problem with it. it does what it's supposed to do. price wise, it's more expensive than what i usually pay for, and it comes in smaller size as well, but considering i have less waste, i think it's a comparable substitution. i get points for my purchase as well. so i think i'll keep repurchasing this one for now unless i could find something else with similar advantage.
