sulwhasoo gentle cleansing foam

anyone else on shopping spree everytime there's a big sales going on? i think during the pandemic, some brands have been giving discount more often now, including sulwhasoo. i think every time there's a shopping platform having a special day like monthly sales on shopee, special birthday sale on lazada and special occasion on tokopedia, sulwhasoo always join the celebration and giving big sales. i have to admit since the last months of last year i have been thinking of buying sulwhasoo, but i kept postponing, thinking that i might not be able to purchase it on normal days. but i gave up and bought two sets from them. i always think my skin would like the bloomstay line better, but i also want to try the original FCAS as it's one of the best-seller from sulwhasoo, so i got the bloomstay serum kit and the FCAS kit. both have additional gift, so i guess not bad.. this time i'm trying the foam from FCAS kit.

this is the description from their website: a mild liquid cleansing foam with rich foamy lather that effectively removes impurities while leaving skin well-moisturized. hydra capture complex for moisturizing a skin. the hydra capture complex which is hydro-cleansing formula of sulwhasoo provides moisture during cleansing and leaves skin well-moisturized without tightness after cleansing. contains morus alba leaf extract and dioscorea japonica root extract known to be used for making a soft and cleanliness skin in the past. mild cleansing with rich foamy lather. rich and smooth lather gently cleanses impurities to leave your skin smooth and clean.

description at the back
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, this comes in a white/yellow box, which is the original color scheme of sulwhasoo. there's the picture of the products inside at front, a bit description at the back in korean and english as well as the list of all the products inside in korean and english. on the side there's a bit description of each product, one side has english description and ingredients list of the FCAS and the cream, the other side has the korean version. they strategically placed all the products inside so all of them are safe and secure. the foam itself comes in a see through peachy plastic bottle with cream pump head. the foam wash inside makes it look like peachy brown from the outside. since it's a see through, i can see the remaining product left in the bottle. they use the usual stopper to secure the pump head. the foam comes in 50 ml size which is quite decent for a sample size. my only complaint about this is sometimes there's foam residue that's stuck in the pipe and then dried out like gel. i tried to get it out so it doesn't dry out, but most of the time i failed.

the scent: this one has a hint of hanbang scent, which is sulwhasoo signature scent. but there's a bit of freshness mixed into it. so far i don't have problem with scent. it's quite subtle too so i like it.

the product: it's gel type face wash. on my hand it looks transparent. the first time i use it, i don't know how much i should use it. i ended up using too much product. the second time i only use a tiny bit and it's enough for my whole face and neck. so, little goes a long way for this foam. with hands, there's only a bit foam produced. with foreo, of course it will bubble up more. if you're using foam net, it might foam more. for me, with just one rinse, i can still feel a layer of product on top of my face, so i usually rinse it twice.
can you tiny foam on my foreo?
look at the bubbles
the result: of course after rinsing it twice it feels a bit squeaky clean and a bit drying. but not super drying at all. i don't feel my face is tightened or pulled. afterward, my skin feels soft and fresh.

i also like this foam. i don't feel it's drying my skin and i can still use it with my foreo. i honestly can't pick which one i like more, this one or the snowise one as both are good. i guess if you're not looking for brightening products, then you can pick this one. price wise, sulwhasoo is a luxury brand, so obviously it would be crazy expensive. if you're asking me, i won't purchase the full size mainly because i'm okay with drugstore ones like hada labo. but if you have the budget, just pick which one that you like more.
