kleveru vitamin c 10% ferulic serum

ever since i tried somethinc vitamin c serum, somehow my feed got bombarded with other vitamin c serum on the market. well, considering that i need one, i decided to go on spree buying more local brand vitamin c serum. i bought kleveru one as i'm quite interested in their product. it's another vitamin c and ferulic serum, but this time, they use ascorbic glucoside. and it's very affordable, so will it work well? let's see how it goes.

this is the description from their website: vitamin c 10% ferulic serum is a specially formulated serum with 3 types of rich antioxidant (10% vitamin c, ferulic acid, and sea buckthorn) to brighten the skin, even out skin tone, diminish acne scars, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and fine lines. also works to protect the skin from any damage caused by UV lights exposure, as well as soften and smoothen the skin.
power ingredients:
- 10% ascorbyl glucoside (as vitamin c): a vitamin c derivative which has better stabilized formulation, gentler, and safer for sensitive skin. luckily, the results given from this derivative is just as effective as pure vitamin c (ascorbic acid) to brighten and even out skin tone, fade out acne scars and hyperpigmentation, diminish the appearance of large pores, and increase collagen production so it also can fade out fine lines and wrinkles.
- ferulic acid: as an antioxidant which effectively fades out acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, and other signs of premature aging. it also works to calm and treat damaged skin due to the exposure of UV lights.
- sea buckthorn: as a natural antioxidant which contains natural vitamin c 15x richer than oranges and vitamin e to brighten the skin, diminish acne scars, and increase collagen production. it also contains as anti-inflammatory agent which helps to soothe the skin and cure acne.

ingredients list and description
the packaging: it comes in white/orange box. there's description on the box in indonesian as well as the ingredients list. the serum itself comes in white opaque glass bottle with dropper to dispense the product. actually i'm quite surprised to see that they use white for the bottle as usually brands use darker color for vitamin c serum packaging. the bottle is short and chubby as it's only 15 ml. fyi, usual serum comes in 30 ml so this is half the usual serum size. there's a stopper around the neck. unfortunately since the bottle is opaque, i can't see clearly how much is left in the bottle.

the scent: as usual, it has citrusy scent that most vitamin c serum has. it's not annoying at all as it's very subtle. once it's absorbed, i don't think i can smell it anymore.
how it looks like on my hand
the product: the serum is light yellow liquid type of serum. since it's liquid, it's easy to spread around and easy to absorbed. however, afterward it feels a little bit tacky. just a little bit. i use this down to my neck, and later on, if i sweat, it makes my neck area sticky. this serum layers well with my moisturizer and it doesn't pill. the ingredients list is quite short. you can clearly see that they use ascorbyl glucoside as the vitamin c derivative and also add ferulic acid as antioxidant and sea buckthorn that also has brightening effect. they also add moisturizing agents as well. i put this in the fridge as i don't want to risk of it getting oxidized, and so far the color doesn't change at all.
after blending
the result: this one is as moisturizing as somethinc vitamin c that i've tried before this. as for the brightening, it helps even out my skin tone and make my skin looks clearer like somethinc one. however, i notice that it takes even longer for this one to fade my acne scars. however, i don't like how it become sticky on my neck area especially when i sweat a lot. if you look at the progress picture, keep in mind that i also use retinol serum, i used to use exfoliating cream every other day then two weeks before i finish this serum, i use runa beauty exfoliating gel cream once a week since i also use exfoliating toner in the morning.

i have to say for that price, this one works okay. it doesn't oxidize as long as i keep it in the fridge (i'm not experimenting by putting it outside the fridge, i don't want to waste my money). it's moisturizing and helps with my skin tone. however, you have to be patient if you want to use it to fade acne scars or dark spots. i don't mind with the small size though as it means i can finish it quicker before it's oxidized or anything. i think it'll be suitable for all skin type. my only complaint is the stickiness that i experience especially when i'm sweating. considering that i live in hot and humid country, this might not be ideal once the weather gets hotter. that being said, i don't think i'll repurchase this one since there are other vitamin c serums that i want to try.
