skintific 5x ceramide barrier serum

as i've said repeatedly that i bought everything before the whole S project fiasco erupted. before the whole mess happened, i've already made a decision not to buy anything else from them since some of their products are just so-so for me. the ceramide line is their best selling one. i've tried their travel set, and out of 4, i'd probably like the cream. but i haven't tried the serum, so i want to try it.

this is the translated description from their official marketplace: a serum formulated with combination of 5 different types of ceramide to maintain and treat skin barrier. giving skin the moisture it needed to keep moist and healthy. with added BFL probiotic that can help treat redness and acne. to maintain skin barrier, centella asiatica is added into this serum, which also soothes the skin.
benefit: soothe sensitive skin, treat redness, protect skin barrier
hero ingredients:
- ceramide: moist and strengthen skin barrier
- probiotic complex: help soothe skin
- centella asiatica: soothe skin
the box
the packaging: the serum comes in a light blue box with description at the back. they also print the ingredients list. however, this might be the last box where you can read the place it is made from. even on latest products, they even put the description in korean, as if to deceive people about the real origin of the company that manufactures the brand. anyway, the whole line of ceramide comes in similar packaging, so the serum truly looks like the toner. but the box is shorter since the serum size is also smaller. the serum comes in a transparent plastic bottle with white pump head covered with a transparent plastic cap. the serum comes in 20 ml, but lately i saw that they have a bigger size, 50 ml. the pump works well so i have no problem with it up until the end.
the bottle
the scent: this doesn't seem to have fragrance in it, but it doesn't smell foul. but i can certainly pick subtle scent from the ingredients.
pump head
the product: the serum comes in a light blue frosted bottle with white pump head. it looks as if it's a glass bottle, but it's not. the serum itself is a milky white gel type serum that's on the runny side. it's runny so i have no problem pumping it our with the pump. since it's runny, it's easy to spread it around but it takes awhile for it to be absorbed. i use two pumps for my whole face and neck.
how it looks like
the result: however, once it's absorbed, i can feel it's moisturizing without being too heavy on my skin. it sinks in nicely and layers well with my other skincare products. i have to say i'm agree with all the claims since i do feel it's moisturizing and soothing. in fact, i finish this fast because i quite like it.
after spreading it around
i do like this serum. so out of the whole line, i do recommend the toner, moisturizer and the serum if you want to try this line out. however, if you have any problems with the project S, then skip this one. i believe there are other serums out there which is similar to this one. i do think this serum is suitable for all skin types. but if you have dry skin, you might need something else on top of this one to seal the moisture. as for me, even though i like this one, i don't think it's worth repurchasing mainly because i can find something similar to this elsewhere. but price wise, it's affordable and easy to find, so go try it if you're curious.
