liese creamy bubble hair color - cassis berry

you might be bored listening to my saying that liese bubble hair color is my favorite hair dye. ever since i found liese in japan around 2016, i've been buying it every time i went to japan. i know you can buy it outside japan, i found them in singapore as well, but the color range is different. recently they renew the packaging, but i don't think they reformulate it as well. however, now there are two categories, the natural series and the design series. in singapore, there are 7 shades in natural series and 12 shades in design series (although the last one is in black), while in japan there are 9 shades of natural series and 11 shades in the design series. last time i went to japan, i bought two shades from natural series and one from design series. i've used the soft brown from the natural series (if you're curious about the result, you can see it here). this time, i'll be using the design series, so let's see will there be a different?

since the shade is in singapore collection as well, i'll use the description from kao singapore's website:
get your desired hair color effortlessly with easy foam! great color turnout from roots to hair tips. thick foam fully coats hair for even color turnout. smooth and moist finishing, contains hair protecting ingredient (lanolin acid).
cassis berry is in the design series, pink category. cassis berry is a sweet pink for pure and endearing charisma. brightness level 3.
the box
back of the box
the packaging: the previous edition has the same design for all the shades, with pink boxes, only the picture of the girls are different for each shade. while the newer one has different designs. for the natural series, it comes in white boxes, with different girls for each shade. while the design series comes in various colors according to the tone of the shade. for cassis berry, it comes in pink box with the picture of the girl at front. you can see the prediction color on top and a lot of descriptions at the back in japanese. however, i tried to find this at both websites but i couldn't find it. i guess this shade is discontinued.
even if you can't read japanese, you can see these pictures as instruction
at the bottom you can see what you're expected to see inside the box
the shade: like i've said before, this is cassis berry. it's supposed to be in design series, pink category with brightness level 3.
at the top you can how the color is supposed to be
you have to mix solution in bottle number 1 to bottle number 2,
and that's the gloves provided plus the pump head
the product: just like the other shade, there are two bottle inside, a big one and a small one. you're supposed to put the solution from the small bottle to the big bottle and turn it upside down for 5 times then change the cap to a pump head. they give you a pair of gloves, but no cape. so if you don't have any cape, you'd better use old clothes that you won't mind getting stained, or use old towel to cover your shoulder. they also give a hair treatment in sachet. there's a booklet about how to use it, but everything is written in japanese. anyway, after the solution is mixed completely, you should put the pump head and then start pumping the bubble out and put it on your hair. with this one, you don't need to put it from inside to outside or bottom to top. they even suggest you start from the top, from your hair part down to bottom. after you finish putting it all over your hair, you should rub it to make it foam even more then put your hair in a bun on top of your hair. wait for 30-45 minutes and then wash it off. if you have long hair, you should finish the whole bottle. but you could use less if you have shorter hair. don't forget to use the hair treatment after you wash your hair.
left: before
middle: after (freshly after coloring it)
right: after a week or so it became brighter
the result: after the first washing, the color is more subdued. but after a few wash, it should be brighter. as for the cassis berry, somehow on me it doesn't look pink at all. i think it's more like reddish brown. however, it's brighter than the previous one, which is not surprising since this is brighter in color. though both in the same brightness level. since i'm into red shades, i like this one a lot. i tried to remember the other shade that i've tried, i think it is similar to rose tea brown shade.

i might be bias toward this hair dye. but for me, it's the perfect one so far. i like how easy it is to use. they have so many color options as well. so if pink is not your alley, then you could pick other color. green, blue, violet, and a lot of shade of brown. though you can purchase this online, the price is much cheaper if you buy this straight in japan. as for me, once i've finished my stash, i'd probably try other brand. any suggestion?
