  • About me
i got this cream as goodies when i purchased the cure aqua natural gel. honestly i don't know if it's a sample or a full size product, and it appeared that originally it's not for sale, but i've found out that lately it's for sale in some countries, so i don't know anymore... i've read somewhere that originally this cream is produced as hand cream for the factory workers. their hands are dry because of too much packing the products in cardbox. and the response is overwhelming that they keep producing it and i don't know how it changed into a face cream and not hand cream anymore.

this is the description from toyo website: cure water treatment contains 4 functions; toner, emulsion, cream and makeup base. the harmless cosmetic-grade silicone covers your skin to help maintain moisture. it's not for sale, it was being offered as a novelty item in the cure series. it was introduced in response to the raving reviews from the users and retailers, and our intent to continue offering a gentle moisturizer. the greatest enemy of the skin is dryness. while the skin feels smooth and not sticky, it maintains the moisture. please try this new feel on your own skin.

the packaging: it comes in a little white plastic tube. the design is pretty simple, just like the peeling gel. the label at front and description at the back, unfortunately it's in japanese. oh and by the way, it's tiny, just 30 ml per tube.

the scent: okay, i've been used to scentless products by now since most japanese products that i've tried are scentless.

the product: the korean might be innovative in using exotic ingredients, like horse oil, snail and starfish, but i have to give it to the japanese for being innovative in the product making. the texture of this cream is originally a gel, milky white like candle droplets, but when you spread it on your skin, it turns into water droplets! really amazing.. and definitely it will absorb easily onto your skin. and once it sinks, you can feel the hydration boost that it gives. the whole tube lasts for a month for me.

the result: i use it day and afternoon to replace my emulsion since i was run out of it, and at first, i don't think it's enough since my t-zone is starting to become oily again. but then, after about two weeks, perhaps my skin is adjusted, or it's my night cream that helps in the moisturizing department, but somehow my t-zone is starting to normalize again. a little bit. it's still a bit more oily than usual, but not that bad.

although many people praise this cream, somehow i'm disagree. it's not hydrating enough for me. i don't feel anything once it's absorbed completely. i tried using it on my hand, and it doesn't work either. i don't feel added moisture whatsoever. so, perhaps it was me that doesn't get the miracle. but since it's a hit for many people, perhaps you should try it yourself. but since it's hard to get, you might consider buying a peeling gel so you can try the cream. it's not a bad idea considering the peeling gel is really a good stuff.

once again i was chosen as one of amabie sweethearts and they sent me a couple of products for me to try and review them for free. but let me remind you that even though i got the products for free, all my reviews are completely honest.

this is one of the products that they sent to me. actually this is nothing new. i've seen this facial wash around in the supermarket nearby my home, and i always wanted to look at it, but buying groceries with two very active toddlers and a baby is never a good idea, so i never got the chance to see it clearly. and now they sent it to me, so i'm glad that i finally get the chance to try it.

this is the description from their website: specially formulated to give you clear, problem free skin, a soap-free, daily use wash gel that cleanses your skin by removing excess oil and impurities without over-drying. neem, well known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. combined with turmeric, it helps control acne and pimples leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem-free. key ingredients: neem, turmeric.

the packaging: it comes in a plastic tube with a flip top. the tube is clear and even though there's a label on it, you still can see the green facial wash inside. no seal on the opening of the bottle when i received it. i don't know if that's the condition from the factory or that's happened only to mine after it being checked by customs.

the tube
the scent: i was afraid that this one will smell funny since it has neem and turmeric. i was thinking that it might smell like spices.. food spices. but i was wrong. it smells like antiseptic soap, not like dettol, but still like antiseptic. not too strong either so it doesn't bother me. plus once it lathers up, i can't smell the scent anymore.

the product: the facial wash is a green gel. pretty plain. and it bubbles enough. now, i'm sorry that i don't have any pH strip, so i can't tell you the pH of this facial wash. i think it will be important since this facial wash claims to prevent acnes. so if you have any information regarding its pH, please let me know. and if you're avoiding SLS, this facial wash also doesn't contain SLS, parabens and phthalates.

left: the opening (no seal inside)
right: the face wash on my hand
the result: it cleanses okay, i don't think it can remove makeup, but it will help clean makeup residue. i can feel that this one doesn't strip my skin. i don't feel the squeaky clean feeling which is good and i like it. since i have time limit to review this facial wash, i only have 2 weeks to use it, and during that time, i do get breakouts from using peter roth irish black moor mask, but it clears up after 3 days. and my second time using the mask, i didn't get any breakouts again.

i think this facial wash is gentle enough. it doesn't strip my skin and it cleanses well. i'm not bothered by the scent, however some might not like it since it smells weird. it doesn't have SLS, parabens and phthalates. and i can't say anything for sure about the prevention of pimples, since i do experience breakouts from using detox mask. but it help speeding up the clearing process. and i don't experience any other pimples due to other factors, so i think it might help in some way. another good reason for buying this: it's cheap. really cheap.  i do recommend those who have sensitive skin to try this, although every skin type can try it too. but not for those sensitive nose.. as for me, definitely will put this one on my facial wash rotation. i'm glad that it's available here in indonesia and with such price! thank you amabie for giving me the opportunity to try this facial wash.

update: if you guys have read my post about pure smile silk mask, then you might read a little information about hyaluronic acid provided by hannah from thankyourskin. now hannah is kind enough to write another guest post regarding turmeric, one of the main ingredients found in this face wash.

Applying turmeric on your skin might not seem like the best idea but if you are dealing with acne spots, blemishes and other skin issues, it might just be the solution you are looking for. You see, turmeric has antibacterial properties which make it effective against acne. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties which can help soothe psoriasis as well as eczema. Surprisingly, turmeric has powerful antioxidants, too. It can help protect your skin against skin cancer and premature skin aging.

A word of caution:
Although turmeric offers tons of benefits even for sensitive skin, you shouldn’t use it without testing it first. Actually, you should do a sensitivity patch test for every skincare product you’re going to use on your skin. You should also be cautious when using turmeric as it can stain everything- from your sink, towels and even your skin.

One trick you can use to make sure you don’t end up with a yellow skin is to rinse it off thoroughly and use a warm cloth to wipe your skin. Do that until there are no more yellow residues. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, check out this really handy infographic here on the surprising benefits of turmeric for the skin.

i received this mask along with kailijumei lipstick that's provided by amabie to be reviewed for free. this one is one of the goodies that they sent me generously. although i receive it for free, all my thoughts in this review is completely honest. when i received it, i was just moving in my new house, so it was a mess and this mask got slipped into some boxes and i forgot where i put it, and then yesterday, i found it and i decided to use it immediately. and i have hard time figuring out what this mask is since it only has mandarin text all over it. not even the name! usually they have the brand and the mask name in english, so it's easier to find out what this mask is and its offer on the web, but since this one got no english text whatsoever, i had difficulty in figuring out this mask's name. i looked out on their web, and it said that this one is an "extreme duo lifting mask" but when i searched using that keyword, the images show another mask, more pink in the sachet. so i searched again and decided to go with "rose and collagen" since it's the only term that show me the exact same picture as the one that i got here. and the brand "sexylook" itself is new for me. i never heard of it, and turned out that it's made in taiwan. there are many taiwanese brand that's promising, so let's see..
pic from sexylook website
this is the description on their website (beware that this is google translated, so it might sound funny): sexy mask rose whitening mask, rose water doubly moisturizing, red and white pomegranate powder, moisturizing translucent rose water, moisturizing grape seed and collagen, fennel white rhodiola and red pomegranate.
this is another description from venusbeauty.com.sg: super hydrating duo lifting. infusing precious rose extract and collagen with multi-whitening essence and skin protecting essence. this mask brightens skin, and also reduces melanin that darkens skin. the effective benefits penetrates deeply into your skin and transform your skin into fair and bright skin, lightens dark spots on your skin. transforms uneven dark skin to beautiful even fair skin, bright and moisturized. the effect is visible after usage of the mask.

the packaging: it comes in white-pink sachet with the picture of the so-called duo lifting mask at the front and descriptions at the back written in mandarin. no english text whatsoever except the brand name.

the scent: i was tired and i can't figure out if what kind of scent, but it doesn't smell like wet tissue and more like floral scent. and it's not overwhelming so it's a pleasant to use this mask.

the product: the mask is made of thick but stretchy cotton. it has two ear loops, one from the face mask and one from the chin part. after unfolding it, i was doubtful that it will fit my face, but surprisingly it fits me. i just have to pull the ear loops a bit and it fits okay. i said okay because the nose area is lifted a bit since i have to pull the ear loops. but the chin part is a perfect fit for me. it's weird, but fits nicely, like daiso silicone mask, but this one made from cotton and soaked in essence. the essence is milky white and very generous. there's excess but i can't sure if it's enough to soak a tablet mask. although it's very generous, luckily the mask doesn't drip off the essence like crazy, so i can still sit and blog while using this mask. however, since the ear loops also have essence, it wets my hair and irritates the back of my ears. it makes the back of my ears itchy. it can last about 40 minutes and it's still wet at the edges of the mask, and after i take off the mask it only takes 5 minutes top to be completely dry off.

the result: the first thing that i notice after taking the mask off is the firming feeling. more like tightening all over my face. and then i notice the brightening effect. although it's not as bright as annie's way mask, it still visible enough for me to see. as for the moisturizing, i don't quite feel it. in fact, this is the first mask that give me matte finish after 5 minutes taking it off.

so, it's nice to try this mask as it's something new for me. and i like how it gives me the tightening feeling, it makes me believe that it really is firming. and the chin flap! it's really amusing. though i don't like how it makes my ears itchy. and my hair wet. but other than that, i have no complain. certainly would like to try more from this one, if i could get my hands on any. thank you amabie for giving me the chance to try this mask!
*update: i went to my nearby guardian at supermall and i was wondering around when i spotted this masks on the bottom rack! they have 3 variants from sexylook. price wise, i don't know which is cheaper, buy it straight from drugstore or order it online.

this is the last clay mask that i tried from my first batch freeman's purchase. seeing acai berry in the name is quite interesting. after i bought this, i found out that TBS also released acai berry mask, but i think it's in jelly form, but in clay form. so far, the only freeman disappointing product that i've tried is their gold grain, which does nothing to me, so let's find out about this one.

this is the description from their website: an 8-antioxidant blend including acai to re-energize skin! clay mask helps absorb oils, clarify, and clear clogged pores. perfect for all skin types.
a quick fix for dulling skin, powered by an 8-antioxidant blend of acai, blueberry, cranberry, goji, mango, mangosteen, noni, and pomegranate to neutralize environmental damage. super oil-absorbent clays draw impurities from skin and clean out clogged pores. perfect for all skin types.

the packaging: i tried the travel size one and it comes in a irregular shape sachet, the purple one with english description at the back. compared to other travel size/sample size, this one is pretty big. moreover this being a clay mask, a little goes very long way, so i considered they're pretty generous.

the scent: one thing that i love about freeman is that their clay masks smells nice. this one too. but i can't specify other than i think it's floral. bad nose.

the product: another thing to love about freeman masks is that they are colorful. this one is teal in color. pretty vibrant. and it's creamier than the avocado one. so it spreads easily. it takes about 15 minutes to dry and then it's easy to wash off too. i can feel cooling sensation when i put it on my face. if i keep using this on my whole face, it will last for 4-5 uses. but since sometimes i use it on my nose and chin only, i get more than that. and it doesn't dry out even when i transferred it to a clean container.

the result: i've read some reviews that this one pulls out gunk inside your pores. and it will breaks you out if you have unclean pores. so be careful not to use this before any important event. when i used this, i also experienced purging on my first try, but nothing on the second one. and the next one. after washing it off, it's not too drying, but still i have to moisturize heavily afterwards.

i really like this one. in fact more than the avocado. i use it on full face if i think my skin looks tired and need some lift. but my favorite combo lately is using this on my nose and chin and then use TBS rose mask on the rest of my face. the combination works for me. another thing to love about freeman? it's cheap! i still have my second batch before deciding which one to purchase. or i could just keep purchasing samples as long as they available. one thing not to like is i have to purchase this online, and there's a possibility that the seller will run out of these samples.

when my husband went to japan the first time, i put a shopping list for him, and this mask is one of them. actually i didn't list specific type that i want to buy, i just asked him to buy several pure smile masks that he saw. and he managed to grab a few types, pretty standard, if you're asking me, but it's okay. upon putting a shopping list for him, i have no idea about pure smile and never heard of it. and i just knew that it was similar to korean one since i've read somewhere that it's manufactured in the same factory as most korean brands, like etude and the face shop, so this must be good.

this is the description from their website (it is in japanese and it was google-translated, so i hope it won't sound silly): a face mask containing 1,2% vitamin extract. it prevents rough skin and tightens firmly the skin. suitable for all dry and oily skin! because vitamin e and collaged is also compounded, it gives you tension to the tanned skin. as the sheet covers the skin, it penetrates deeper and leads to the activation of the original function of the skin.

the packaging: it comes in regular sachet, white background with the picture of the ingredients of the mask in front of the sachet. since this one is a vitamin essence, no wonder they put a bunch of fruits picture in the front of the sachet.

the scent: well, i can't put it into words, but all i can say that it doesn't smell like alcohol, unlike some masks.

the product: the mask is quite thick and not stretchy, but it's not rigid like SNP one. the fit, however, is quite ridiculous. it has weird fit because it has flaps for both eyes, and it comes from the bottom, not top of the eyes. thankfully it has slits so you can adjust the fit on your face. the essence is clear type essence and quite generous. no excess though.

the result: the moment i put it on my face, i can feel the cooling sensation. i put this mask for about 40 minutes and some of the edges are still moist. then after taking it off, it only took 5 minutes for it to dry completely. afterwards, i can feel that it hydrates my skin without making it sticky. as for brightening, i can't say for sure.

this is an okay mask for me, perhaps since it was made in the same factory as the korean masks, it feels similar. i won't think that it is a japanese mask if i didn't read about it beforehand. the japanese mask that i've used before is thinner, while this one really similar to etude's or faceshop's. i think this will suitable for every skin types, and it will be a nice addition in your daily mask rotation. another plus reason? it's cheap!

i've always wanted to dye my hair red. hahaha.. i don't know why but i always love looking at red-hair actress or stars. and when my older one was almost two, i dyed my hair, and now all my hair has grown to its natural color. and when i went to japan, everyone seemed dyed their hair. and hair color products are everywhere. and the famous one, or the most common that i saw there, is the liese prettia bubble foaming hair color. before we went to japan, i have searched and decided that i will buy the rose tea brown, but when i shopped there, i can't seem to find it, so i decided to pick the elegant peach (thank God for google translate since everything is in japanese, even the shade color name). the elegant peach is the darkest one in the pink family, while the rose tea brown is the brightest in the warm cocoa family.

the packaging: it comes in a cardboard box, with the shade-will be hair color on top and instruction at the back. but unfortunately, everything is in japanese, so i have no idea what's written on it. inside, there are two bottle, number 1 and 2, a pair of latex gloves, instructions, and a card to spread the product for allergy test. instructions are in japanese, but there are pictures, or you can just youtube it. and there's also a rinse after treatment, which is probably a conditioner.

the scent: okay, the main reason that i postponed dyeing my hair is because i was afraid of the scent. usually hair dye will smell like ammonia and i'm afraid it might affect my baby. so, i decided to do it on new years eve, since i think new year will be the perfect time for a change. and i'm quite surprised to find out that it doesn't have distinctive ammonia scent!

the product: the first bottle is dark, which i think is the dye. the second bottle is transparent so i think it's the diluent. so, all you have to do is open the first and second bottle then pour all the first bottle's content into the second bottle and then slowly turn it upside down for about 5 times. the main reason to do it slowly is not to create bubble inside the bottle. once you've done that, you can replace the cap of the second bottle with a pump that is available in the box.

the process: so, you have to do it with dry hair. comb your hair so no frizzy hair. then put on a cape or a towel (unused or will be unused, dark is preferable) on your shoulder to prevent it stain your clothes. and also use a mat under you so it won't drip on the floor. put a balm on your skin near hairline and your ear and neck so it won't stain there. then pump the hair dye on your palm (make sure you wear the gloves, and push the body bottle to pump, not the head pump) and lather the bubble on your hair. start from your hair parting and down to the ends. after spreading the bubble all over your hair, grab it all into one big bun on top of your head. then wait for 30-40 minutes. if you have long hair, finish all the liquid in the bottle. but if you have short hair, you can use half to two third as long as you've passed the line on the body bottle.

the result: okay, i don't know what went wrong, and i've waited for about 30 minutes, although i left a bit of liquid on the bottle since i felt i've put enough and i'm afraid that it might be too vibrant, but unfortunately, the color didn't show that well on my hair. the vibrant part is my hair part, but other than that, it only shown as red reflection when the light hit my hair. perhaps i didn't put enough on my hair ends. oh, and the rinse after treatment is wonderful. it comes in little sachet and have balm-like texture. after i put it on my hair and rinse it, i can feel my hair is silky smooth. when i washed my hair second time after dyeing it, i didn't use any conditioner and my hair becomes more frizzy than before. i can even feel my hair end is drier than before.

overall, this is an easy and practical hair dye, perfect for home use. and beginner friendly too. you can use it yourself, without the help of other people. i will be glad to purchase another elegant peach, or try raspberry brown or rose tea brown. there are a lot of choices to pick and if you're asian, this is better option for you since it's formulated for asian hair. for other hair types, perhaps you should try it yourself.

i got this mask along with some other stuff from amabie for free. in return, i have to review the items they provided me honestly. and one of them is this mask. prior receiving this mask, i've seen it around on my instagram feed. one of online seller here in indonesia sold it, but the price is expensive and i never see anyone else raving about it to the point that makes me curious and finds out more about it, so it's never been on my wish list. and then i saw them again on @skincaremochi's instagram. and the next thing i know, amabie is giving me this mask to be reviewed for free! what a nice coincidence! and apparently, this mask is quite famous. it's a best-seller in taiwan and hong kong. let's see if the hype is true.

this is the description from yesstyle.com: revitalizing jelly masks treat skin to continuous moisture combined with a whitening effect to minimize dark spots and even out skin tone for a fair and translucent complexion. for a weekly pampering session, spread a dollop of mask evenly on cleansed and toned face and leave on for 30 minutes before scraping off. wipe face with tissue after removing mask and rinse thoroughly with water.

the packaging: okay, the full size comes in a big tub. but i got a sample/travel size, which is in a plastic sachet and the exact label as the full size one. and there's instruction on the sachet in english. which is great since i don't know what this mask is.

the scent: if you don't sniff pretty hard, then you can't smell anything. but since i did, i can smell silicony/plastic scent, which is kind of disappointing me since i was hoping for a relaxing mask, probably with nice subtle scent to end my day..

the product: the mask is transparent jelly. it looks like jelly, feels like jelly. so i'd better be careful with it since i got two very curious toddlers around. can't risk having them taste the mask! anyway, i've read somewhere that you can get a spatula if you purchased the full size jar, but since i only got a sample, i don't have any spatula. and let me tell, the spatula is essential. first, the application is way better if you're using spatula. you need to spread it thickly and evenly, and i've tried using my finger and it didn't work well. didn't try using a brush since i think the jelly might slip within the brush's hair and it will it difficult to rinse. second, the instruction said to leave it for about 15-30 minutes and then scrape the mask off using spatula. yes, you have to scrape it, and i've also read that you might accidentally scrape off blackheads and whiteheads as well. since i don't have any spatula for mask, i use tiny spatula that was meant to scoop out my cream (i have spare..), and since it was tiny, it wasn't ideal, but it helped. i can scrape the mask off, but unfortunately since it isn't big enough, i don't get to scrape off any blackheads. i don't have whiteheads at the moment, so no whiteheads being scraped off too. okay, since i don't use spatula to put it on my face, it's difficult to get it to the thickness as suggested. some areas are thinner than the other part, which resulted in uneven drying time. some even too thin that it dried up like a peeling mask. i don't know why, but i feel a little bit of heat and tightening feeling after i put this mask for a while. and i can feel that the mask is drying on my face, but i can still touch the wobbly jelly on the surface, which is a weird experience for me. one sample contains 40 ml of this mask, and i think i use half of it. but skincaremochi used it all up on just one go.

the result: the immediate result that i saw was the brightening effect. although i often say that i'm too pale to see any brightening result, but this one is pretty clear. after scrape and wash it off with water, i can see it brightens my face. as for the moisturizing property, i rate it average, not too moisturizing for me.

note: i managed to persuade hubby to try this mask since he had worse skin than me. but i inspect his skin, and he doesn't have pimples or apparent blackheads, so it's kinda difficult to judge the mask's effectivity. however, he has redness and a few fatty bumps, and when i scrape the mask off, the bumps loosened and the fat tissue popped. and then he usually has to pinch his nose really hard to get the fat tissue out from his pores, but after using this mask, it gets out easier. and obviously, less redness and more brightness. he looks white! but unfortunately he didn't want me to take his picture. so i can't show you the result.

overall, this is really an effective mask. i tell you, this worths the money. although the description on the sachet suggested that this mask is for dry skin, i think oily or combination skin might also benefit from this mask. no wonder this mask becomes best-sellers. this will definitely go into my wish list if i can get samples of this mask. i won't buy the full size since i'm pretty bored easily, so i don't think i have enough patience to finish one jar. but i do think i can finish more samples.

i win this pact from 0.8L indonesia's giveaway for free, and in return, i have to review and put it on my social media for a month. although i receive this for free, my review will be completely honest.

prior to receiving this gift, i have no idea at all about mizon pact. at that time, i entered every giveaway available, especially the cushion giveaway since i want to try more without having to spend my money. fortunately, i got one. and it was funny since i kept trying and forgot to check whether i win or not. and then the package came to my house and i was confused since i thought i didn't order anything online. and then i checked 0.8L website and found out that i won. hahaha.. lucky me..

this is the description from mizonworld.com: mizon correct combo pact provided moisture as well as coverage, volumizing and illuminating your skin. for a more young, healthy look. the beauty sponge allows re-application easy and sanitary.
about mizon hydratox technology: developed with snow algae, hydrasalinol, hydranov, and moringa extract. enables the control of the temperature change of the skin, as well as giving the maximum moisturizing effect and strengthens the natural defense structure of the skin. along with mizon hydratox technology, mizon color tox system leaves a watercolor-like transparent glow that brightens the natural beauty of your own skin tone.

the packaging: i don't know what you will get if you buy it yourself, but i only get the pact in a cardbox. it is black-beige pattern box while the pact is all black with only letter M on top. when you open the pact, you will see mirror and dotted surface and a button at the bottom to push the cc cream out. and a beauty sponge. i think if you buy it yourself, you will get an extra refill and i think the refill will be bulky since you have to replace the entire bottom part of the pact. i think this is a solution for those who have been afraid of germ in their cushion since the cream will only come out if you push it, unlike the cushion which is like a sponge with the cream inside it. now, it's a little bit tricky to take the "refill" part off the pact, and i can't describe it. but i read somewhere that there's a circle at the bottom of the pact that you have to push until it's off the pact.

the scent: it has pretty fragrant for a pact, and it will linger even after you put it on your face. i was sensitive to fragrance, but somehow it started to grow on me and i think the scent isn't bothering me anymore. but don't worry though, it's not that perfumy.

the product: there are only two shades, as usual. 21 and 23, and i got 21 luckily. it matches my skintone perfectly. it has medium coverage, it covers my redness, but not my acne scars completely. but i like it since it looks more natural. the puff that comes with it also works well, although i prefer the missha one.

the result: this one gives dewy finish. sometimes i like it just the way it is, but sometimes i like it matte so i use powder on my t-zone. since it's dewy and it's hot here, if i'm in an air-con room, it will hold for about 3-4 hours, but i think it will gone quicker in outdoors.

overall, this is a nice alternative from common cushion, especially if you're afraid of germs breeding in your cushion. unfortunately, it only comes in two shades, you might not have the right shades for you. and if you're super oily, perhaps you might want to consider it again since it might make you look shiny. and if you like slimmer cushion, then you might want to think again since this one is bulkier than usual cushion so it might occupy more room in your makeup bag. but for me, i like it. i like how it's easier to get the bb cream on the cushion since it will come out easily when you push the button, unlike common cushion that you have to push the cushion to get the product out. the scent is nice and it gives natural finish for me. so definitely a keeper. now i won't say that i might buy it again since korean brand tends to release limited edition and newer version or new invention, but i will recommend it if someone wants to buy bb cream or cushion.

this mask is provided by amabiebeauty along with some other stuff for me to be reviewed. although i received it for free, all my thoughts about this mask is totally honest. you can also see this review on amabie.com.

before i got the email from amabie that informing me that i was chosen as one of their amabie sweethearts, i never heard of this brand. it's completely new to me. although i know the concept of 3d mask, i never tried any of it. this is the description that i get from koreanqueens.com:
foodaholic red ginseng natural essence mask contains red ginseng extract that recovers damaged skin and helps to maintain the skin healthy and glow. red ginseng to help restore skin strength after being damaged by stress, pollution, debris and weather. if you have experienced harsh weather or environment or would like to relax after a long day of work, this mask will be sure to cure you from your troubles. also helps maintain firmness and smoothness.
benefits: nourishes, improves elasticity, revitalizes, help the skin's metabolism, restores skin, relaxing, maintain firmness, smoothens skin.

the packaging: it comes in regular sachet with the main ingredient pictured at front. so obviously for this one is ginseng. and there's english text at the back as well as the instruction. and it's not ridiculous unlike SNP one.

the scent: ugh.. let me remind you before you decide to buy this, it has STRONG ginseng scent. really strong. after i rip the sachet off, the ginseng scent hit my nose instantly. just like my ryeo hair pack, this one has similar scent. and it lingers, which is annoying since i have to keep it on my face for about 20-30 minutes. it makes me dizzy at first actually.

the product: this is my first experience with 3D mask. thanks to the slit around the mask, i can fit it nicely on my face. although the nose part is too pointy for me. i think it will be too pointy for most asian. but other than that it's okay. it's made of cotton but it's not as stretchy as etude or innisfree. the essence is clear type essence, and it's enough. drenching the mask without making it dripping all over me. there's a cooling sensation when i put it on my face. i use it for about 25 minutes and the cheek and chin part has dried but the forehead is still wet. after i take it off, it only take a couple minutes for the essence to soak in.

the result: since i only have one mask, definitely can't say anything about firmness. but i have to agree that it will nourish my skin since it's moisturizing enough. i can feel my skin a lit bit sticky but after awhile it will be gone. and i also believe it revitalizes my skin too. i can see it's a little bit brighten after using this mask, but i think the effect is temporary.

so, if you like ginseng, not worry about strong-scented mask, then go for it. if you are very sensitive to strong-scented mask, then stay away from it. this is the second time i use a ginseng mask, and both has strong ginseng scent, so i think you might want to put it into consideration before buying anything ginseng-related. as for me, i think just this one is enough. i can't risking my kid waking up while i'm using this mask and then be completely awake because of the scent. i also think this 3D mask will be perfect for those who have high nose and have difficulty for short nose part in ordinary mask sheet. thank you amabie for giving me this mask.

this is the last lululun face mask that hubby bought for me on his trip to japan last time, before all of us went to japan too. i saved it for last because i wasn't sure if it's super moisturizing or not. i was afraid that it might be too rich for my skin. but lately, i can feel that my skin is a little bit dry, plus i had this redness after using freeman mask so i decided to give this mask a try.

the description from cosme.net: this face mask now contains 3 times more of highly moisturizing ingredient lipidure. it is also rich in royal jelly extract and sweet marjoram to keep your skin smooth, hydrated, and rich. the new sheet is easy to unfold, and it stays on the skin with a softer touch. there are no slits in the sheet as is made to fit the contours of the average asian face.

the packaging: just like the other masks from lululun, they always come in pack. mine is 7 masks in a ziplock pack. the moist version is blue, while the daily moisture is pink and the brightening is white. there are other options though, the box with 42 masks pack. and there's also a limited edition or special region version. there's no english text on the pack, just like any other japanese product.

the scent: okay, i don't know if my nose was messed up, but i think it smells like the naturie hatomugi skin conditioner, which is weird. i forgot to confirm about the scent on later usage, and now i've finished them all, so forgive me if i'm wrong.

the product: the mask is made from thin cotton mask. it's thinner than korean masks since it's intended to use daily. the fit is okay for me, although the cheek part is slightly narrow for me. the essence is a clear type essence, and it's quite generous. there's excess after i finished all of it, and i thought it will be enough to soak one tablet mask, but turned out it wasn't enough. i still need to add more liquid for the tablet to be dissolved completely.

the result: when i put the mask on, i can feel the cooling sensation. it's quite moisturizing, more moisturizing than the daily one, but less than etude's collagen mask. i can also see some soothing effect since i use this mask once after my face became irritated by the freeman mask, and the redness was gone after using this mask.

overall, i wouldn't mind purchasing this one again. and perhaps the pink one, since both of them give me the hydration that my skin needs at night. and it's lightweight so i can put it on my face any days. so i think it will be nice to keep this one on my bathroom, to give my skin the moisture boost on my lacklustre days.

hubby was out of town couple days ago and then he offered me to buy something since he left me with 3 kids. although i had help, but i have to deal with them myself on both nap time and night time. and dealing with two toddlers are not easy. so he wanted to gift myself with something nice. and i asked him about his mobile service point reward, and he got a lot left. we can trade the points with some voucher for body shop, so i asked him to trade his points with the voucher and bought me some body butter or mask. and he got me the christmas edition body butters and the british rose mask. although i was hoping he could get his hand on the ginseng one. oh well, hopefully i can trade mine and buy that one myself.

the body shop was recently launched 5 variants of wash-off masks. all of them are vegetarian, and 3 of them are completely vegan. each mask is designated for each skin problem. the british rose is for plumping and hydrating, the honey one is for nourishing, the himalayan charcoal is for sebum and pore problem, the ginseng one is for brightening and the acai one is for radiance.

this is the complete description from their website: grow your glow with our british rose fresh plumping mask. inspired by the european bathing rituals, our 100% vegan refreshing gel face mask is infused with real rose petals, rose essence, rosehip oil and organic community trade aloe vera. and what's more, it's formulated without parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil. reveal skin that's replenished with moisture and visibly smooth with a youthful dewy appearance. perfect used with our facial mask brush, it makes for the most beautiful facial at home experience.

the packaging: it comes in big glass jar with screw top. since it comes in glass jar, it becomes heavy. and since it's heavy, it's not travel-friendly. and it doesn't have any spatula or anything to scoop the mask out. so you have to use your finger or your own brush. if you're using your finger, you'll end up risking the whole jar to be contaminated and it will ruin the mask faster since it's 100% vegetarian.

the scent: if you're sensitive to fragrance and cannot spend more than 5 minutes with heavily-scented mask, then i suggest you step away from this mask. it has strong scent. very fragrance. many said that it's the scent of the rose, but since i'm not familiar with flowers, i cannot confirm that. all i can say that it's very fragrant for my nose.

the product: the mask is a jelly-type mask, it will wiggle when you shake the jar. and from the first look, it looks like a strawberry jam. i was hoping to see a pink jelly, but it's more like a rose-brown color. the description mentions about rose petals in the mask, but all i can see is a reddish-pink speck. i can't say if it's rose petals or not. since it's jelly-like, it's easy to scoop out of the jar, but if you take a lot of mask in one stroke, it will spill back into the jar before you can put it on your face. and  i don't know how much product you should put on your face, all i can say if you put a lot of product near the edge of your face, it will slide down slightly like slime. probably since i don't put a lot of stuff around the edge of my face, the cheek and chin part are dry after 10 minutes. i think this kind of mask are not supposed to be dry. but probably i don't put enough mask on my face. it's easy to wash off since it's a gel mask, but using washcloth will make it easier. on the next application, i use brush, and it makes it easier. and i put quite a lot and it didn't get dry.

the result: at first, i don't feel anything, it doesn't give my hydration. i just feel that my skin is just like before. nothing's special. then after quite some time, probably around 5 times using this mask, i started to feel that my skin is softer after using this mask. and more supple. oh, and i once use this mask and then i feel burning or tingling sensation. i don't know what caused this, and fortunately it didn't irritate my skin.

so, i think this mask is overpriced. seriously. i can get the same hydration and plump from cheap innisfree capsule recipe pack. but i'm not saying this mask is a waste. it's okay, but not special. not worth the price, if you're asking me. but it's nice. after all, i never had another mask like this, so it will be a good combination when i use clay mask since i only use clay mask on t-zone. so this is a great mask to multimask with. and i intend to use this up as fast as i can since i want to stack on innisfree one again. have you tried these masks from body shop? which one is your favorite? although i'm not quite impressed with this rose mask, i still want to try their famous ginseng one, but when i looked at the stores near my house, it's still sold out, so let's just wait...

when i went to japan, this is the first item that i put in my wish list. i've been seeing this toner around my instagram feed, so i'm dying to try it myself. plus, my skin has been changing more toward normal, or sometimes combination with drier cheek, so i think this will be a good product to give my skin the moisture it needs. so, when i saw it, i instantly grabbed it without any hesitance.

this is the description from global rakuten website: improved moisturizing effects with a softer feel on skin. what's super hyaluronic acid? hyaluronic acid has incredible moisture retention abilities with 1 gram yielding 6l of moisture, however, super hyaluronic acid has twice the moisture retention capabilities. other notable characteristics are its excellent compatibility with skin and its softening effect on skin.
what is nano hyaluronic acid? hyaluronic acid's average molecular size is 15-25nm. nano hyaluronic acid's molecular weight is smaller which makes it even more easily absorbed into the outermost layer of skin.
three different types of hyaluronic acid added. moisturizing effects that you can feel from the moment of application. thick, luxurious toner that feels like a beauty serum. same mild acidity as healthy skin. gentle on skin. this product is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, oil-free, alcohol-free, and does not contain any artificial colorings.

the packaging: one thing about japanese product is that their packaging is really simple. although their makeup packaging usually is cute, their skincare packaging, however, is really simple. just like this one. it comes in a big white plastic bottle with flip top. the opening of the bottle is enough to dispense the product out without any trouble. the label is just like any japanese products, only has japanese text on it.

the scent: this is probably the second or third japanese products that doesn't have any scent. although it smells chemical, but there's definitely no fragrance in it, just like the ingredient said, no fragrance.

the product: it's just like any other toner, it looks like water and has the same consistency like water. but once i apply it on my palm and put it on my face, i can feel it's slightly slippery. and slightly sticky at first, but once it's absorbed completely, the sticky feeling vanished. i once read that you have to keep tapping until the sticky feeling is gone.

the result: i have to agree that this one will give you the moisture that your skin needs. since it takes quite some time to be absorbed, sometimes on my busy mornings, i completely forgot to continue with the rest of my morning routine and just use this and my sunscreen. and if i didn't go anywhere and don't wear any makeup, it won't make my skin greasy or oily.

but it's just that. i like that it gives me moisture so my skin feels soft and bouncy, keeps it hydrated all day. and it's cheap. but i feel something is missing. since i don't use any FTE anymore, somehow i missed my glowing skin. i don't know whether i'll repurchase this toner or not. i do like its hydration property, but i don't like how it didn't give anything else, like glowy skin or brighten my skin or improve my skin texture. although it wasn't completely its fault since it didn't promise anything else other than hydration. so i guess perhaps it's just me, i like multitasking product that i don't quite ecstatic about this product, unlike other bloggers that rave about this toner.
