  • About me
i've been to japan numerous times and even though i said i wouldn't buy much, i ended up buying a lot. but last time was very different. i walked around but found almost nothing that piqued my interest. i almost didn't buy anything new aside from a bottle of foaming face wash that i need, sunscreens (a must for japan), a mascara that i mistook as eyeliner and a moisturizer from kose sekkisui (the one i found in the drugstore). i've been buying stuff from japan for quite some time so i know roughly what kind of stuff they're good at. i won't go looking for serums there and their moisturizer is a hit and miss. their face was is cheap as well as their cleansing oil, but local brands are good too so i won't go the extra mile to buy them. but sunscreens and eyeliners are unbeatable. anyway, i mainly saw shiseido brand's products there but their price range are out of my budget so i ended up only buying this one set. i picked the balance care because i thought it would suit me best. let's see how it goes.

this is the description from one of the reseller's website: shiseido d program balance care lotion seeks to sooth, restore and balance the skin. this japanese skin care lotion for delicate skin works by soothing skin inflammation, restoring and promoting the skin's moisture and finally balancing the sebum and excess of skin's oil. this medicated lotion penetrates into the stratum corneum and makes the skin smooth, soft and radiant. d program is a skin care line from shiseido specifically developed for delicate and sensitive skin. shiseido d program series aims to defense and protect those skins.

the packaging: it comes in a plastic pouch. there's a transparent window at front so i can see the products inside. there's description at the back in japanese like usual. there are several types of the sets and each has different color. for the balance care, it's aquamarine blue. both the lotion and the emulsion comes in the same blue bottle, but the lotion one is bigger. the design is quite simple, the name of the brand and the product at front and description at the back. there's a spout covered by a white plastic screw cap to secure the product. the lotion is 23 ml which is a weird size for a toner sample and way too little.
the pouch
the scent: honestly, since i've finished the product, i forgot if it was scented or not. if it was, i didn't have any problem with the scent, or else i might remember about it.
description at the back
the product: this is a watery type toner that's easy to spread around and quickly absorbed. this feels similar to kose toner. it doesn't leave slippery afterward feeling either. it's hard to measure how much i use for my whole face and neck because usually i just squirt some and then tap it on my face and add more if i feel that it's not enough. however, usually i only use one layer and it's enough for my face and neck.
the bottle
the result: even though this one is watery, there's a punch of hydration that i can immediately feel after applying this toner. this one is definitely hydrating and a bit moisturizing.

i can say that this one feels similar to kose toner? but a bit lighter compared to the kose one. however, i still think that it'll be suitable for all skin types. the full size one is quite expensive for a drugstore brand, but i think considering the performance, this one is worth the money. as for me, even though i like this one, i don't think i'll repurchase this because there are other toner out there that performs similar to this one with slightly cheaper price, so yeah.. it's nice to try it, but it's not super wow that i'd consider to repurchase it.
covid restrictions bans have been lifted in most countries so it's easy to travel around again. we've been going to several countries as well. that's why i've been hunting for some skincare set since most of our travels are long-haul so i need something to carry in my backpack so i can clean my face during transit. one of my local finds is blp skin. i've heard of their skincare products (during the pandemic, some brands decided to shift from making makeup to skincare products) and apparently they're good, so let's see how it goes. last week, i had to go to the US with my in laws and i ended up bringing all items in this set with me. let's start with the toner first.
the box
description at the back
this is the description from their website: tremella daily hydrating toner preps your skin after cleansing to optimize the rest of your skincare routine. packed with tremella fuciformis extract, cactus extract, and niacinamide, this tone is able to hydrate and brighten up your skin.
- hydrating and brightening effect: help lock moisture on the skin and boost radiance.
- dermatologically tested and non-irritant clinically proven: tried and tested scientifically for non irritants and suitable for all skin types.
- for all skin types: whether you have oily, dry, combination, even acne prone skin.
the sticker seal
ingredients list of everything in the set
the packaging: this set comes in blue box with the outline of all products inside at front. there's description at the back in indonesian. they seal the box with sticker. the toner itself comes in a blue plastic bottle with white plastic screw cap. the opening is just like any other toners. the size is just right to dispense the toner, not too big, not too small. they seal the bottle with plastic sealing at first. the toner comes in 50 ml which is enough for a week worth of traveling. i use it twice a day and there's still some left after i went back home.
everything in the set
all products in the set
the scent: this one is scentless and luckily, no foul scent either.
the bottle
description at the back
the product: this is another clear watery type toner that's easy to spread around my face and then sinked in quickly. it doesn't leave tacky feeling, but it feels slightly slippery when i first apply it to my face. like there's a siliconey feels when i put it on my face.
the opening
the result: this one is hydrating, but just that. this works as well as other hydrating toners that i've tried before. this works well under my other skincare steps as well.
how it looks like on my hand
after patting it
this one works okay. maybe comparable to somethinc the green one? but less hydrating than skintific hyaluronic toner. price wise it's affordable. i think this works well on its own or together with other items from this set. if i have to rate the set from my favorite to my least favorite, it will be the moisturizer, toner and then the serum. i think the toner is suitable for all skin types but maybe not much for dry skin. as for me, my skin is getting dryer due to aging and all that actives, so i need something more hydrating and moisturizing than this one.
couple months ago, i decided to try some underrated local brands. there were a few that i had my eyes on since i saw them on IG. but after looking at the descriptions and the ingredients up close, i started to drop some and decided to wait on some. anyway, i ended up buying the settled one. i've tried their apple-y serum and quite like it (but it's not that special that i want to repurchase) so let's try the other one. this one is a serum and oil combination, which is similar to that scream serum? anyway, i want to give this a try.

description and ingredients list
this is the description from their official marketplace page: a dual phase (oil and water) anti-wrinkle serum formulated to moisturize skin, help rejuvenate as well as prevent fine lines on the skin. contains potent antioxidants such as bakuchiol, rose hip oil, stable vitamin C and E that help nourish and keep skin healthy.
ingredients: aqua, vitis vinifera seed oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, coco-caprylate/ caprate, glycerin, sodium chloride, malachite extract, bakuchiol, ascorbyl glucoside, rosa canina fruit oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis oil, tocopherol, curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, phenoxyethanol, hydroxyethylcellulose, allantoin, tromethamine, disodium EDTA, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, rosmarinus officinalis extract, propylene glycol, ethanol
the bottle
the packaging: this one comes in a green box with description and ingredients list at the back and side. the serum itself comes in a transparent glass bottle without any description at the back, aside from the brand and serum name at front. since it's transparent, you can see the dual phase from the outside and it looks pretty. they choose a dropper to dispense the product which i have no problem with since it works okay. the serum comes in 30 ml which is a normal size for a serum, but not for local brand. usually they only come in 15 or 20 ml.
dual layers serum: pretty isn't it?
after shaking it vigorously
the scent: this is the part where i have problem with this serum. it smells awful. they don't add any additional fragrance to the serum, thus the only scent that might come from this serum is from the ingredients. i don't know what cause it, but i suspect that it might be because it's made of various oil mix, so it might attribute to the scent. i have to hold my breath for a few seconds every time i use this serum.
how it looks like in the dropper
the product: as described, it's a dual phase serum, which means there are two layers. one is the oil, it's on top and it is the pale yellow on top. the other one is the water-based serum, which is on the bottom and it takes up almost three quarter of the serum. it looks greenish so combined together, it looks pretty in the bottle. when i squirt it on my palm after i shake it well, i can see the droplets of oil in between the watery serum. it's easy to spread around and even though it's oily, it doesn't take long to be absorbed. i use a full dropper for my whole face and neck.
on my hand
the result: it feels like dry oil after i patted it around. it doesn't feel too oily and i can still put a night cream on top of this serum. this feels similar to the scream serum that i used in the past. maybe more on the lightweight side? it feels moisturizing but still being lightweight. it works well against the retinol and acid that i used in my routine.
the subtle glow that it gives after
it's a shame though. even though this serum looks pretty and works well, i can't enjoy this serum because of the foul scent. i wish they think twice about the whole no fragrance thing because it might affect the whole experience. as for me, even though this works well for me, i don't think i'll repurchase since i can't stand the scent. it's really a shame though. anyway, the serum is affordable, so if you're curious about this one, you should go and buy one. i think it'll be suitable for all skin type. maybe just use it at night if you feel it's too oily to use in the morning.
i'm not that interested with western skincare brands mainly because i don't think it's suitable for the weather here. but sometime, i got curious about some brands. one of them is estee lauder. actually i was curious about their ANR serum. however, the price for even the smaller size is very expensive. i don't think it's worth the price. so i decided to get something else. their essence. basically, this is an FTE, so let's see how it goes.
the box
this is the description from their website: double barrier power. one key breakthrough. this next-generation essence lotion features our exclusive postbiotic 12+ to work together with our 98.9% bio-active lactobacillus ferment. optimizes skin's barrier - its inherent strength and stability. helps significantly boost skin's first line of resistance to external aggressors. locks in moisture and soothes to minimize the look of redness. skin is hydrated and smoothes so pores look reduced. reveals a stunning radiance.

description and ingredients list
key ingredients:
- bifida ferment lysate: ferment that promotes natural skin repair and skin strengthening.
- sodium hyaluronate: AKA hyaluronic acid, a ferment that is powerful moisture magnet.
- lactobacillus ferment: is a commonly known class of ingredients. there are several types of lactobacillus ferments, some of which, such as the one in micro essence, helps to strengthen barrier.
the bottle
the packaging: it comes with light blue box with the picture of the full size bottle at front and there's this extra side on one side and it makes it weird. there's a very short description in various languages as well as the ingredients list. this one is the sample size, so it's not much. i've been hesitating in buying this one because i know for sure that the price per ml will be very expensive. but, i decided at the end to hell with it. i only live once, so i decided to buy the sample size, which is 30 ml. the price still makes sense, but price per ml is not worth it. it comes in a transparent plastic bottle with gold screw cap. another description at the back of the bottle. however, the opening of the bottle is quite big for FTE. like there's no plastic stopper like any other toners.
description at the back
the scent: this has the fermented scent that most FTE has, though lately they manage to get rid of the foul smell, but apparently estee lauder doesn't care. yeah sure, it wasn't bad, but it is still off-putting for me. let's wish they do something about it.
see the opening?
the product: this is an FTE so it's watery and transparent like water. it looks like water and feels like water. just like any other FTE. however, there are some FTE that feels slippery at the end, feels a bit siliconey. well, this one is like that. a little bit so it doesn't bother me much. i can still put more products on top of this one. their main ingredients are those which usually found in an FTE, so there's nothing special about it.
how it looks like on my hand
the result: well, FTE is the over-rated version of hydrating toner, so this one works like that. it's hydrating and it's very lightweight. i have to add something else on top of this one so my skin is well-moisturized. however, this one is very lacking. it might be okay for tropical weather, but when i bring it to finland, this one is no help.
after patting it on my hand
honestly, i'm quite disappointed. i wanted to like it but turns out it's just ordinary. less than ordinary even. i have tried other hydrating toners that works better than this one. even other FTE that's cheaper than this can perform better that this one. so honestly, just save your money and buy something else. but if you have lots of money to burn, then you can try this one. luckily they have a mini size so you can save some money by buying the smaller size to try. as for me, definitely not repurchasing this one.
the moment i saw this on innisfree page, i told myself that someday i will try that one. especially after i tried the fresh one, i'm curious whether the innisfree one could be a dupe for that. so when i was finally almost run out on my toner/essence, i bought this together with the ampoule that has been on my wishlist since it first came out.

this is the description from their US website: this concentrated, antioxidant-rich treatment essence is formulated with black tea and powerful ingredients to promote healthy skin cell turnover, enhance hydration, and reveal radiant skin that glows evenly from any direction! meet this lightweight, powerhouse treatment essence - your ideal partner after cleansing to prep skin and leave a smooth canvas. this allows skin to help better absorb the next steps for an instant boost in moisture while delivering concentrated benefits for a smooth and radiant complexion!

The bottle
the packaging: it comes in dark brown box with description on the back and sides in korean. the essence comes in transparent glass bottle with dark brown cap. there's a bit description on the bottle as well. the bottle is similar to other FTE bottle that's available in the market so far. there are two sizes available, mine is the 75 ml. i believe the bigger size is 150 ml but it's hella expensive. anyway, since the bottle is transparent, you can see the remaining product inside. however, since i use it twice, it leaves fingerprints and lots of smudges on the bottle a lot. they secured the opening at first with a white plastic sealing.
The opening
the scent: this is the part where i'm most disappointed about. i was hoping that i would at least get some subtle tea scent, but no.. there's nothing. there's something, but it's not tea and i can't describe it. i do enjoy the fresh one because of the scent adds something more whenever i use the product. something that i don't get when i use this essence.
How it looks like on my hand
the product: the essence is a brownish watery type essence. Well, like tea. since it's very runny, i can't pour much to my palms without making a mess, so i resort to pouring it twice before patting it to my face since once is not enough. again, since it's runny, it's absorbed right away.
Left: before
Right: after
the result: this one is hydrating. i usually put two palmful of essence to get the hydration level that i need. however, it's not as moisturizing as i was hoping for. it layers well with my other skincare products. however, i don't see any other effects though.

i have to say that i'm not totally sold on this one. this feels like any regular essence. which shouldn't make me pay that kind of money. i'm quite disappointed to see that this one can't be dupe for fresh one. oh well.. maybe i should revisit my old favorite, the soybean essence and see whether my skin still like it or not. anyway, their warn is a little bit too late. in my mind, i always think that the black tea is for aging skin, but they confirm that it's not. maybe that's why this essence is lightweight so it'll be suitable for all skin types. luckily, they have smaller size so i don't have to bleed money to try this. definitely won't repurchase because i need something more moisturizing that this one. not because this is a bad product. as i've said, maybe i should revisit the soybean one again.
if you read my other post, then you'd know that prior to my US travel visit, i put up a long list of stuff that i wanted to buy while in the US. and actually, i didn't plan to buy any skincare as i wasn't sure about western skincare products. however, i thought i might regret if i didn't try some, so i browsed and found byoma. since it is available at target, i thought my chance of finding them is bigger. anyway, at first i wanted to try their clarifying serum, but at the last minute, i changed my mind and got the hydrating one instead. do i make a wise decision?

this is the description from their website: this ultra-lightweight, moisture-boosting facial serum is enriched with hydrating heroes for bouncy, glowing skin and strengthened daily skin barrier function. featuring our unique barrier boosting tri-ceramide complex (ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids) combined with a powerhouse pairing of squalane and glycerin (to replenish skin's moisture level) delivers a surge of instant hydration with long-lasting results. trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), redness, drynes, and flakiness is minimized to support happier, healthier, daily skin function. skin feels instantly smooth, soft and nourished.
benefit: lightweight hydrating facial serum for a bouncy, dewy finish. delivers a surge of hydration and minimizes water loss in the skin. unique tri-ceramide complex to support skin barrier health. hydrating heroes glycerin and squalane to replenish moisture levels.

key ingredients:
- tri-ceramide complex: byoma's carefully researched tri-ceramide complex is designed to mimic and replenish the essential lipids found in skin. formulated with the 3 key components of the stratum corneum-ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids - to rebuild the skin barrier and restore natural moisture levels, ensuring skin functions at its best every single day.
- squalane
- glycerin

The bottle
the packaging: since this is a drugstore product, there's no box that comes with it. it's just a blue plastic square bottle with dropper to dispense the product. there's description and the ingredients list on the sides and back. the serum comes in 30 ml which is the normal size for any other serum. i totally forgot whether it came with plastic sealing or not.
The ingredients list is not as descriptive as the moisturizer
the scent: i've just finished this serum but i kind of forget how it smells. i think this one is scentless but luckily no foul scent either.
How it looks like inside the dropper
the product: this one is a milky runny lotion type serum. since this is runny, it's easy to dispense it out with the dropper. i usually use a full dropper or a dropper (or add a half more if it’s not enough) for my whole face and neck. i notice my skin likes ceramide lately, that's why when my skin went awry during my travel in the US, i decided to grab this one without second thought.
How it looks like on my hand
the result: even though i’ve brought a hydrating/moisturizing serum, it wasn't enough for my skin during dry, cold and windy spring weather. and i was right. just after a day of using this twice a day, my skin started to get better. this one is hydrating and lightweight, but still moisturizing as well. it layers well with my other skincare and even though i kept using it after i got home, it is still okay for my skin under different weather.
After blending it
turned out i made a good choice picking this one out instead of the clarifying. i just wish it comes in bigger size so i can enjoy this longer. oh well, i think this serum might be suitable for all skin type. unfortunately, byoma is not available in indonesia, but you can buy them from preorder shops. however, the price might not be drugstore-price anymore since the conversation rate is bad. as for me, i'm happy to ever try this serum. i might repurchase this if i ever come across byoma again.
i swear i promised myself to not buy lipstick products, especially the one that comes in stick form as it usually takes a long time to finish. however, i can't resist the newer launch at the market, especially the lip products that promises shine and moisturizing looks. i know now that matte finish is not that forgiving for my lips, that's why i tend to stay away from matte lipstick, may it be in stick form or liquid. lately i've been using tinted balm mostly, or lip tints, though i'm not completely sold on lip tints. anyway, when i saw rom&nd glasting melting balm's pictures popping up in my feed, i was curious. i told myself that if i didn't manage to get revlon glass shine rum raisin, i would get this one if i came across one, because apparently both of them are hard to find in japan. anyway, long story short, i managed to get revlon glass shine in glassy mauve but i can't find rum raisin. so when i took a walk in ikspiari and spotted this glasting melting balm, i swatched everything and decided to buy one, kaya fig.

this is the description from their website: the glasting melting balm is a moisturizing balm with plant-based moisturizing oil that does not dry out! it provides a transparent and smooth watery glow without feeling stuffy. a vibrant color balm that spreads vivid color as soon as it is applied. water holding system forms a highly moisturizing protective film to block moisture from escaping with its elastic texture.
06 kaya fig - a classic soft rosy fig color
the box and the balm bullet
the packaging: it comes in rosy pink box with the name of the product at front. the description at the back and sides are in japanese, probably because i bought this in japan. they also put the shade name on top of the box so it's easier to find which one to buy. the balm itself comes in stick form with white plastic body and gradient pink plastic cap. they put the shade name on the body a well so it's easy to read. it comes in 3.5 g.
the shade name on top
the color: there are 7 shades to choose from and none of it is similar. there's nude, pink, coral, rosy and even mauve color. mine is kaya fig which is a soft rosy color. on my lips, it looks like my lips but better.
how it looks like on the bullet
the product: the balm comes in stick form with slanted tip. it looks soft. once i swatch it, it looks watery, like melting just as the name. funnily, this one is scented, like a bit fruity? i can't describe the scent though.. but i can't smell it if not sniffing it closely. anyway, they put a warning not to twist it too much or it will break as the balm is quite soft. trust me, i only twist it a millimeter high and it still melts or crumbles. i'm just hoping with the hot weather in my country right now, it won't melt.
hand swatch
the result: goshh.. this one really does as promised. my lips looks shiny, glossy and well-moisturized. kissable. plump. juicy. the color payoff is really good considering that this one is a balm, like a tinted balm. however, it's a bit tricky to use around my lip line. since i don't use any lip liners, it's quite tricky to make clean line around my lips. but it's okay. this one is really moisturizing, blurring my lip lines. but it also feels sticky. like every time i press my lips together, i can feel the stickiness that i don't experience with my canmake tinted lip balm. oh, and this one transfers really bad. regarding the lasting power, the color fades with eating and drinking, but it seems like it stains my lips a bit.
lip swatch
i'm happy with my purchase. the shade is perfect for me and this melting balm delivers result as promised. it's not available here yet, but i'm hoping it will be soon. i can see that it will suit those who prefer lightweight and moisturizing lip products, especially the one with glossy/watery finish like this one. as long as you don't mind the transfer, of course. i won't repurchase anything soon as i'll be lucky to be able to finish this one.
since i found out about my upcoming trip to the US, i made an extensive and curative list of all the products that i wanted to buy. i thought about it carefully since this might be my only chance to buy them, so i did. some of them are skincare products. i know, that's not much of skincare products from US brand that i'm interested in, so mostly i only choose ones from the drugstores. anyway, one of them is byoma. i've never heard of them before this, but when i was looking at products to put in my list, byoma popped up and it looked interesting, so i take a closer look at their products. i decided to try their gel cream, toner and their hydrating serum (i originally wanted to try the clarifying but end up buying the hydrating one instead). anyway, i've tried the gel cream and the serum, but for now, let's talk about the gel cream first.

this is the description from their website: this lightweight, oil-free daily moisturizer delivers effective, targeted hydration to thirsty skin. the unique, gel-cream texture absorbs instantly, softening and hydrating skin with a barrier boosting blend of carefully chosen actives for restoring results. it's the weightless, cooling texture of a gel with the lasting hydration of a cream. blending our unique barrier boosting tri-ceramide complex (ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids) with superstar actives niacinamide and green tea - packed with antioxidants to support skin's essential barrier function. designed to draw in and retain moisture so cells function at their best, the moisturizing face lotion works to reduce redness and calm inflammation. universally effective for all skin types, both morning and night.

the description and ingredients list
the packaging: since i bought this at target, it doesn't have any fancy packaging. just the bottle. i don't even remember whether this comes in plastic sealing or not. the bottle itself is a pink plastic in block shape with the same pink plastic cap to secure the pump head. the pump head is quite nice actually. it has this groove on top of it that fits my finger so i can press it easily even though my fingers are slippery due to the previous toner and serum that i used before. there's description at the back and sides in english as well as quite detailed ingredients list. this comes in 50 ml which is slightly more than the usual moisturizers that come in 30 ml.
pump head
the scent: this one is scentless but thankfully it doesn't smell terrible either.
how it looks like on my hand
the product: the moisturizer is a white gel type moisturizer that's quite thick when it's freshly pump. slightly thicker than somethinc ceramide one. but once i spread it around, it sinks in effortlessly. i only need a pump and a half for my whole face and neck. i only use this in the morning and afternoon because i need something richer for nighttime. i have to say, looking at the ingredients, i was worried at first, because my skin is not exactly in good terms with niacinamide. but since it's not its main ingredient, apparently it's fine for me.
after blending it
the result: this one is hydrating and also moisturizing. i'm surprised to see that this one is quite lightweight considering that it comes in thicker gel form. this one is also not too heavy for tropical weather, even though the weather is quite weird lately. with it being super hot during morning or afternoon, and then heavy rain during the rest. i can't say anything for the cooling sensation but i think it does help with my skin barrier. lately, i don't get bad breakouts around my period so yeah, i'm quite happy with my skin lately.

anyway, this is quite a surprise. i bought this product not knowing anything about the brand as well as what to expect from it. but turns out, it works great. my skin loves this moisturizer. byoma is not available here but you can get it from a preorder seller. the price obviously won't be as cheap in the US because of the currency and else so if you're not so sure, then i suggest you buy something local. a lot of local brands product great skincare products, so you don't miss much. as for me, obviously this is a one time deal because i won't bother order this one from a pre order. i can get similar result from local skincare products. but i'll enjoy it while it lasts.
I’m totally behind my posts! Somehow, with the instagram and tiktok booming, i lost the drive to write any reviews. I was so tempted to just write shorter reviews on IG, but somehow i never did that anyway. Oh well, let’s just write on the spot as i tried this mask. I’ve bought this one last year when i visited japan last october and i haven’t gotten the chance to use it. Anyway, I’ve known that lululun has several edition for some cities/prefectures, but i never found them whenever i went to japan. But again, i only went to tokyo, osaka and kyoto, which are the big cities. But then, we traveled a bit outside the cities and suddenly i spotted them when we went to Oishi Park. My husband immediately told me to just grab them all. I can always gift the rest to my sisters or my friends. Anyway, since it’s been in my stash for awhile, i guess it’s a good idea to just use it and write about it instantly so i won’t forget.

the packaging
The packaging: there’s no individual packaging sold at the store so i have to buy a box. One box came with 5 individual packaging. Among the varieties that i bought there, this one is the smallest. But it’s the same size as the individual lululun mask packaging. Anyway, the box is made of transparent plastic so you can see the design from the outside. The individual packaging comes in light green plastic pouch with the same face design as the other lululun masks. But instead of bow or something else, it’s grapes right there at the center. Maybe to indicate that the main ingredient is the grape, which is shine muscat in this case. There’s description at the back in japanese as usual.
description at the back
The scent: once i put it on, i could smell something sweet but a bit fruity. At first i didn’t know that the main ingredient is shine muscat. After i found out, somehow it makes sense that it smells a bit fruity and sweet at the same time. The scent is very subtle so it doesn’t annoy me.
the milky essence
The product: as described, the mask is a three layers one, so no wonder that it’s thicker than the usual lululun mask that’s meant to be used daily. The fit is okay, the eyes hole and the mouth hole are okay, the nose flap is a bit short but it’s acceptable. The weird thing is the inner eye slit which doesn’t serve any purpose in my opinion, but it doesn’t bother me anymore, so i have no problem with the fit. The essence however, is a milky type essence. Usually, i don’t quite like the milky type essence, but this one is okay for me. There’s a bit left, but it’s a bit tacky so i ditch it and not put it on my neck and my hand like i used to do.

middle: mask on
right: after
The result: this one is definitely hydrating and a bit moisturizing. It leaves a bit tacky feeling after i take the mask off. I also use my foreo with it. Since it’s a bit on the thick side, i can’t feel the heating/cooling sensation especially near the center of my face. But the material is still slippery enough so i can glide my foreo on top of the mask. Afterward, my skin looks glowy.

Definitely a steal for a special edition mask. If you happen to spot them, grab them. This one is good. I think it will be suitable for all skin types, but if you have super oily skin, maybe you want to skip on your serum and just put moisturizer on top after taking the mask off. As for me, i have lots of mask to go through and i won’t buy lululun outside japan because of the price difference, so no repurchase plan at the moment.
