  • About me
i remembered seeing real barrier products but i forgot where. so when i found out that they are available at sociolla, obviously it's easier for me to try them. i've finished my missha FTE so i have no other product to add hydration to my skin aside from ariul watermelon glow serum. so i decided to buy this along with other things. if you wanted to watch my sociolla haul, you can watch it here.

this is the description from their website: in an easy to use, lightweight spray, essence mist, helps relieve dry skin with one spray. imparts long lasting moisture and calming. quickly absorbed. leaves skin feeling moisturized and soothed. great for use whenever your skin feels taut, dry and thirsting for a quick moisture fix. simultaneously hydrates and nourishes! shake to use this double-layered essence mist! composed of a moist hydrating layer, as well as a moisturizing, soothing, and nourishing layer, it instantly hydrated and leaves skin well-moisturized for long unlike general water-type mists. 24-hour moist hydrating shield effect. powerful hyaluronic acid pulls 1000 water molecules together and hydrates for 24 hours. the box
description and ingredients list
the packaging: it comes in a white box with blue label at front. the design is similar as the rest of other products in the same line. it has seal on top of the box but nothing at the bottom. there's a short description in english at the side of the box, as well as the ingredients list. at the back, there's another description in korean. i bought this from sociolla, but the box has added label from stylekorean that includes a short indonesian description. the essence mist comes in a white plastic bottle with the same label as the box. the label on the bottle is see through so you can see the remaining product inside. since this is a mist, it comes with a spray head. the spray head also covered with white plastic cap. the spray head really sprays fine mist and the direction is on point. the essence doesn't go outside my face, but sometimes it goes to my hair when i spray my forehead, so i prefer spraying it to my palms and then pat it on my skin rather than spraying it directly to my face.
this time in korean
added label with description in indonesian
the scent: it smells fresh. they don't list any added fragrance in the ingredients list, so i guess it must be from the ingredients. the scent is quite subtle so i don't bothered by it. but if you don't like scented product, you might want to think again.
the bottle
spray head
the product: as i've said before, the mist is really fine. i usually use 5 sprays for my whole face and neck. since i spray it on my hand, i can see the essence is a milky white watery type essence. though they say it's a double layered, it's hard to see the layer from the outside. though it's a see through, all you can see is the level of the remaining product inside, not the layer. but i keep shaking it before using it. since it's watery, it's easy to absorb. it also layers well with my other skincare products that i used.
one spray on my hand (doesn't look white, but 5 pumps, it looks milky white)
after patting it in
the result: i have to say the description is quite spot on. once absorbed, i can feel my skin is moisturized. like there's a moisturizing layer on my skin. it hydrates my skin as well. i can layer it easily, though with 5 sprays, i never feel the need to. it helps soothe my skin whenever i have breakouts as well. i guess it does help strengthen my skin barrier since i don't suffer any irritation or skin dryness even though i've been testing vitamin c, BHA and retinol (not that i'm testing them at once altogether, but still..).

i'd totally buy this again if i don't have anything else to try. it's a lightweight essence but still gives a punch of hydration and moisture to your skin. i'd say it would be suitable for all skin types, as long as you don't have any problem with scented product. for dry skin, obviously just using this essence won't be enough, but this can be layered with other products, so no worry. i bought this when it was on sale at sociolla, but even if it wasn't on sale, the price is still quite affordable for the size. lately, sociolla has been my go-to website to buy skincare stuff, so i don't bother looking for skincare stuff anywhere else. that's why i don't know if i can find this elsewhere.
the first thing i heard from lacoco is their watermelon sleeping mask. then i saw a youtuber reviewed this eye serum. she said that it's comparable to la mer. what an interesting comparison. not because a local brand cannot compete with famous international brand. it's just, she picked a big gap of product to compare with. la mer being luxurious and well known, compared to lacoco, an affordable local brand. you'd obviously want to buy and try it yourself, don't you? anyway, i do.. i also want to try it with my eye massager to see the result and compare it with my previous eye cream.

this is the description from their website (anyway, their website has the longest description that i could find, and it's written in indonesia, so i'll just translate it right away): intensive treatment eye serum is a high concentrate serum specially made for skin around the eyes. though it's high concentrated, it's quick to absorbed and doesn't leave tacky feeling. you can use it easily, comfortably and it will give maximal treat to skin around eyes area.
formulated with main ingredient like apple that's rich of vitamin A, C and antioxidant. vitamin A speeds up skin development around eyes area to be a mature and functional and reduce the risk of skin cancer. while vitamin c is one of the main ingredients from collagen, that works to keep skin's water content so the skin is maximally hydrated. apple also function as antioxidant that helps prevent aging. quoted from department of food science and institute of comparative and environmental toxicology, cornell university, ithaca, new york, boyer and liu (2004) said that apple contains various kinds of phytochemistry, including quercetin, catechin, phloridzin, and chlorogenic acid, which all of them are potent antioxidant.
other ingredients are aloe vera, which has lots of benefits for eye skin area. aloe vera keeps the skin moist. moist skin is a main term of healthy skin and to avoid wrinkles. aloe vera also contributes in stimulating fitroblast, which will help to produce collagen.
intensive treatment eye serum also contains active ingredient peptide. peptide is an active ingredient that is proven to reduce fine lines on eye skin area. peptide also helps reduce the depth of wrinkles formed by facial muscle contraction like smiling action and laughing. aside from helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, peptide also helps to prevent new fine lines and wrinkles formed. peptide used in the intensive treatment eye serum is palmitoyl hexapeptide.
palmitoyl hexapeptide is a mix of fatty acid palmitic acid with various type of amino acid, including glicine, histidin, and lisin. all the ingredients are chosen by paula begoun, found of the paula's choice research team as one of the best ingredient in maintaining and improving the skin. this ingredient also interacted with cell membrane to increase and to revitalize skin cells natural function, renewing it to reach its maximal growth potential, also to increase cell natural productivity level.
one month random studies was done to 10 women volunteers from age 32-56 years, whom applied light emulsion twice a day that contained 4%. the result is palmitoyl hexapeptide can improve elasticity, skin firmness and fatigued skin - biopeptide EL.
ingredients: water, butylene glycol, glycerin, palmitoyl hexapeptide-12, triethanolamine, carbomer, pyrus malus (apple) fruit extract, phenoxyethanol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, polyglutamic acid, ethylhexylglycerin, tetrasodium EDTA, fragrance.
the box
description at the back as well as ingredients list
the packaging: it comes in a black box with silver rim. it has the name of the product at front. at the back you can read the description in english and indonesian as well as ingredients list in english. the eye serum comes in silver bottle (it looks like aluminium or stainless, very unusual choice for a skincare product). there's a pump integrated at the top without anything to cover the pump. however, they still use regular pump system to dispense the product. anyway, since the bottle is opaque, i can't see the remaining product inside. the eye serum comes in 15 ml, which is the usual size for an eye cream. there's no seal on my box (i've read on other blogs that theirs have seal on them), but since i bought them from sociolla, i'm not worry about getting fake product.
the bottle
pump head
the scent: this one is clearly scented as it's stated in the ingredients list that it contains added fragrance. however, when i try to sniff really hard to pick up the scent, i can't pinpoint what kind of scent. it smells slightly like alcohol, but sometimes i think it's just smell fresh. and it's very subtle so i don't even smell it when i put it on my eyes.
the eye serum on my hand
after blending it in
the product: the eye serum is a clear gel type serum that's spread around easily. the instruction says to use 3-4 pumps. that's quite a lot. i only use one pumps for both eyes and it's enough. i can also use my eye massager as long as i used it instantly after applying the eye serum. if not, it would be too dry and then get dragged by the tool. however, after i finished massaging my eyes with the tool, i'd find a layer of eye serum dried on the massager surface. however, lately i've been adding another pump after i finish massaging my eyes.
progress photos on my right eyes
you can see at the top left is the beginning, bottom left is the end
you can compared that i have reduced dark under eyes
the result: i can definitely feel it's moisturizing for my under eyes. however, compared to my previous eye cream, this eye serum is slightly lightweight. it's not surprising since this is an eye serum and my previous one is cream. there's no tacky feeling after massaging it. now, judging from the progress photos, i was surprised to see that it helps with my dark under eyes. as a mom of 3, night time is my me-time, so i often go to sleep late doing this and that without realizing how late it is. thus i suffer eye bags and dark under eyes. during testing the eye serum, i don't change my sleep habit at all, so i was surprised to see that it helps lighten my under eyes. however, i don't see significant change in my fine lines, but since it's moisturizing enough, i bet it takes longer to notice. please note that i use the eye serum with xiaomi youpin eye massager tool. but i don't think that the tool interfere with the result as i've read other bloggers get similar result in a month. they also notice changes in their panda eyes but not their fine lines as well.
here you can see on my left eyes as well
i have reduced dark under eyes as well
i have to say that considering this is a local brand and the price, this works well. i like this one better than avoskin eye cream that i previously tested. however, i still have other eye creams in line to be tested (i have FSS one in my stash and i want to try the somethinc one too), so until then, i won't decide about whether or not i'll repurchase it. i would say that this one might be suitable for all skin types. it would help if you're looking for an eye cream that would help with dark under eyes and moisturizes it as well. but if you're looking for something to help with fine lines, you'd probably won't like this one. price wise, it's quite affordable and since this is a local brand, it's easier to get it.
ever since i bought liese from my previous japan trip, i'm hooked. coloring my hair has been easier because of liese bubble hair color. fortunately, when i was there last time, i bought three of them. they have renew the line, so the whole packaging is different. they also added new colors as well. now there are two categories, the natural one and the design series. however, there's a difference between the ones in japan and in singapore. the one in singapore website, they have 7 shades in natural series, and 12 shades in design series (but the last one is ordinary black). while the ones from japan, there are 9 shades in the natural series and 11 colors in the design series. i bought two from the natural series and one from design series. since i'm writing this long after i've colored my hair, the first color that i picked to try first is the soft brown. at that time, my hair color was quite bright before using the soft brown. and kids has been starting school back then. my kids' school is pretty strict. they expect parents to model the same decency for the kids. so i thought having bright colored hair might not be suitable for school days, so i picked soft brown. actually this is my first time picking a cooler tones hue. usually i picked rose brown which is a warmer brown shade. so let's see how it goes.

this is the description from the singapore's website: get your desired hair color effortlessly with easy foam! great color turnout from roots to hair tips. thick foam fully coats hair for even color turnout. smooth and moist finishing, contains hair protecting ingredient (lanolin acid).
soft brown is in the natural series, cool brown category. they have 5 brightness level (from 1- very subdued, to level 5 -very bright). natural series - enhance your look and style with classic natural shade.
soft brown is a soft alluring brown for effortless stylish impression, brightness level 3.
the packaging
though you can't read japanese, the picture at the bottom
helps you get the idea what's inside the box
the packaging: the old packaging all comes in pink box. while the newer version comes in two different packaging. for the natural series. all comes in white/cream/ brownish box. they have different girls at the front with their hair colored to represent the shade of the hair dye. luckily, both the packaging in japan and singapore is the same. only in japan, it only has japanese text. for soft brown, the girl is holding a camera at front. you can see lots of description on the sides and back of the box, as well as the color prediction on top of the box and the back. there's also an pictographic on the box about how to use the bubble hair foam roughly, so you get the idea. i googled translate the box so i know exactly how long should i keep it on. inside the box, there are two bottles, one with screw cap and the other one with pump head. then there's a pack contains big leaflet, a pair of gloves and a rinse treatment. so if you have long hair, you should use a cape to protect your shoulder or clothes.
again, no need to understand japanese
follow the picture to get the idea how to use it
color prediction
the product: you are supposed to mix the solution from the smaller bottle to the bigger one that has pump head. then turn it upside down for about 5 times and then you can pump the bubble to your hand and smear it on your hair. let me remind you, you're supposed to wash your hair and dry it beforehand. only dye it on clean hair. and don't forget to do patch test if this is your first time using the hair dye. if you have long hair, you're supposed to use the whole bottle, but if you have short to medium length hair, you can use three quarter of the bottle. once you put the bubble all over your hair (make sure to cover from the root to the end of your hair), you should massage it and put up your hair to a bun on top of your head. then wait about 20-30 minutes before washing your hair. if this is your first time, don't be alarmed if you feel burning sensation when you put it on your hair. it does burn a little bit, but i still can hold it. don't forget to use the rinse treatment as well. anyway, the rinse treatment is pretty thick. but it makes your hair really soft and smooth. and smells nice as well.
left:before
right: after
please note that the color will go brighter after few washes
the result: as long you've washed your hair and dry it properly before using the hair dye, your hair should be dyed perfectly. i've used this hair dye for about 3-4 times by now, and it works just fine every time. this time too. but, i have to say, for something that has brightness level 3, this one is more subdued. probably because of the shade is a cool brown, so the difference is not that much with my natural hair color. as for the longevity, since this is a brown shades, it would go orangey if you don't treat your hair right. if you use cooler tone shade or blonde shade, you have to use purple shampoo to make it last longer. treat your hair right and it would last longer and you won't suffer from dry hair. i've used this numerous time and i use hair mask and hair oil to treat my hair. so far my hair doesn't suffer from dry ends. oh i forgot to mention the scent. since this is a hair dye, it still has that ammonia scent that i believe all hair dyes have. it's quite strong when you applied it and when you rinse your hair the first time. even though i've washed my hair properly, i can still smell the scent from my hair for 2-3 days until my next wash. but it's not super strong that makes me dizzy though. perhaps i became used to the scent? oh well.. just in case you're sensitive to scent, the scent is something that you'd usually smell in the hair salon, just to give you the idea how it would smell like.

i have to say i'm pretty satisfied with this bubble hair color. it works well every time. if you like me, didn't like to hair salon especially just to color your hair (it takes a long time at the hair salon), then you should try this. for me, the method is quite simple, you just need to pump the bubble to your hair and spread it evenly. compared to cream one that my mom used to buy from supermarket, this is easier for me. i used to buy this whenever i went to japan, but since the pandemic, it's not an option to go there. i heard that you can find this in the marketplace, but the price won't be the same as the one in japan though. i'll repurchase this when i could finally go back to japan.
if you've read my other post, you'll know that i've been eyeing on blithe pressed serum deluxe set since the pandemic started. blithe has been on sale for several months, but i still think it's too expensive. but then an online shop sold them in much lower price, so i immediately bought it. i've tried and finished the velvet yam (if you want to read my review, you can read it here) and the next one that i try is the tundra chaga one. i was worried that it might be too rich for my skin, but since i'm using retinol regularly i think it'll help to counter the dryness effect of retinol.

the description from their website and cnfstore: pressed serum contains ingredients from homo-hundred longevity area. it has excellent absorption rate with deeper moisture and richer nutrition than serum.
the chaga mushroom is a unique medical mushroom from tundra region that contains rich beta glucan. it provides elasticity to skin, and protects from external environment. tundra chaga pressed serum brings back your skin elasticity and wrinkles improvement functionality. chaga mushroom called the mushroom of life, is a unique medical mushroom which grows eating a sap from birch in tundra region, contains rich anti-oxidation ingredient, beta glucan. this prevents nourishing and elasticity to the dark skin and helps to protect the skin from external environment. this products contains chaga mushroom extract 60% to maximize the moisturizing effect and nourishing.
from the box: pressed serum tundra chaga is a high-nutrition serum that provides rich moisture and nutritions to skin, as it is packed with 56,4% of tundra chaga mushroom extracts which contain rich beta glucan. combined with a blend of fermented oil including olive and argan oil, it helps to improve skin lines and elasticity.
ingredient: inonotus obliquus (mushroom) extract (60%), water, glycerin, diglycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, triethylhexanoin, polyurethane-39, cetearyl alcohol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, argania spinosa kernel oil, candida bombicola/ glucose/ methyl rapeseedate ferment, citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil, cedrus atlantica bark oil, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, alteromonas ferment extract, sparassis crispa extract, hydrogenated vegetable oil, hydrogenated lecithin, lecithin, butylene glycol, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, polyacrylate-13, c12-16 alcohols, caramel, palmitic acid, pentylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, polyisobutene, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, potassium hydroxide, adenosine, polysorbate 20, disodium EDTA, dipropylene glycol, methyldihydrojasmonate.
the box of deluxe set
description at the back
the packaging: since i bought this in a set, it comes in a colorful cardboard box, very informative since it has descriptions in english at the back as well as the ingredients list of all four. there's a picture of all four pressed serum at front and when you open the box, you'll see four windows. each has one pressed serum. there's also a card with another short description in english and korean. the deluxe sample looks exactly like the full size version. for the tundra chaga, it comes in a transparent frosted plastic tub, slightly greyish, and has a dark grey plastic screw cap. you can see the brown pressed serum from the outside. inside there's a plastic cover so the pressed serum doesn't come in contact directly with the air when it's opened. the deluxe sample is 20 ml each.
what you see when you open the lid
the card. this is the korean part. flip it and you can see the english part on the back
the scent: it is obviously not smell like mushroom. in fact, i was confused how do they smell like it? it's fragrant but i can't pinpoint what kind of scent. but it's very subtle so once i spread it around, the scent doesn't linger. there's no added fragrance in the ingredients list as well.
the cardbox separator is broken during delivery
the tub
the product: tundra chaga comes in a brown pudding like texture. it feels a bit solid at first, but very soft. exactly like pudding. though it's thick, i can spread it around easily. it still has enough slip to spread around. compared to velvet yam, this is thicker but somehow it doesn't feel heavy to the touch. however, it's not as balmy as the apricot one.
the plastic separator
the pressed serum inside
the result: it gives glowy look when it's absorbed. it takes a few minutes to sink in. it layers well over other product in my routine, but there's one product that won't seem to get along with this pressed serum. the aubree ginseng renewing serum is the only product that seems doesn't get along with this product. the serum is very moisturizing and leaves tacky feeling so when i put this pressed serum on top of it, it doesn't work well. my neck area, especially, would feel very sticky. very sticky up to the point that i feel very uncomfortable that i have to wash my face and redo my skincare routine all over again. but once i knew about it, i decided to switch my routine. i'll use this pressed serum without using the aubree serum. and when i used the aubree one, i'd use a sleeping pack instead.
how it looks like on my hand
after patted it in
i would definitely recommend this pressed serum if you have the budget. this works great to fight dryness. i would say it would be more suitable for dry skin, people who live in winter time, and probably use acid that might cause skin dryness. i use the pressed serum as moisturizer as it's quite thick. i don't think it'd be suitable for oily skin. probably they can try the velvet yam, but the tundra one would be too rich for them. compared to velvet yam, i love the velvet yam, but i can still work with tundra as well. but if i have to pick, i'd pick the velvet yam.
when i go to japan, i usually bought their mascaras because people often said that their mascara are the best for asian lashes. i've tried the famous kiss me heroine mascara, and even though everyone seems to sing praises about this mascara, i don't super love this one. plus it's pain in the ass to remove it. but there are other brands to try, so i decided to try another famous one, majolica majorca. honestly, i don't know which one to get, so i just bought the famous one, the lash expander. let's see how this one goes.

this is the description from their website: just this length of mascara! this density! fast volume, long shaping mascara. liquid extensions that further widen your eyes just by painting and continue to give a perfect impression continue to evolve. the real feeling that the eyes look bigger! it can be painted neatly, it has a volume and long shaping mascara. beauty ingredient combination, waterproof, easy off with hot water and face wash.
- does not lump due to the liquid spreading effect: the secret that the liquid spreading effect does not fall out smoothly. provides glossy and long eyelashes.
- strong curl with "curl shaping effect": finish 12 hours finish test.
- purple curl up brush: easy to fit, from the corners of the eyes to the shortest eyelashes, the root 1 mm catch! creates curls from the roots.
hybrid mascara: a new formula for eyelash-friendly mascara that is resistant to sweat and tears and can be easily turned off with hot water and facial cleanser even though it is waterproof.
the packaging

the packaging: it comes enveloped by cardboard sleeve that has description at the back written in japanese. there's a small transparent window in the middle so you can see the mascara tube inside. the mascara tube is black plastic with round tip at the cap with gold ornament. you can read the name of the mascara on the body. thankfully it's written in english, so you can guess which one it is without any problem.
the mascara tube

short wand and the bristles

the shade: there's only one shade for this type, the black one, though i don't think other types come in more shade as well.
can you see the fiber?
looking up, you can definitely see it's lengthening my eyelashes
the product: the mascara wand has curvy end with brush type bristles. there's definitely added fiber in the mascara formula. the formula is the wet type, and it's super wet. at first i thought to leave it for awhile so it's dried up a bit, but it seems it would never get dry, so i decided to give it another go lately. the website instructed to swirl the wand inside the tube three times before using it. but, i didn't know that at first. so i take off most of the mascara fluid and proceed as usual.
okay update, i've tried swirling the wand inside the tube and it picks up the product more than usual, so i'll just use it the way i used to do, taking off most products before putting it on my eyelash. but i notice that the brush length is enough to swipe my whole eyelash in one go. and that's a convenience as well as rare.
on my right eyes
you can see that it lengthens and helps curling a bit, not much volume

on my left eyes
definitely lengthening but not much volume
if i tried to layer more, it tends to get clumpy
the result: the formula is so wet that i have to be careful. if there is too much mascara on the brush, it will get clumpy in no time. but the brush can still separate it if the formula is still wet. but if you wait a bit longer and it's dried already, you can't correct it. i can see that it's a bit volumizing, it would be more volumizing if you don't mind a bit clumpy eyelash. i can also see that my lashes is longer and holding the curl longer too. but everything is in moderation so the result is very natural. they say that you can remove it with just warm water, but i've tried removing it with cleansing water and there's still some residue on my eyelashes, so better use separate eye makeup remover to remove it completely.

i have to say i don't like wet formula. if i don't remove any excess from the brush, it will clump my eyelashes. but if i remove too much, the result is barely noticeable. so it's a troublesome to make sure that i remove enough before putting it on my lashes. i usually do my makeup in a rush, so this is not an ideal mascara for that situation. anyway, if you like wet formula, don't mind a bit clumpy lashes and prefer natural result, you might like it. price wise, it's more expensive than essence mascaras, but it's still affordable. as for me, i don't think i'll repurchase this.
if you've seen my OOTD pictures, you might probably guess my favorite retail store. i'm not someone who is loyal to one brand. i usually buy my clothes at department stores for years. then i got pregnant, and i have to nurse my kids. so old clothes are not the option. i bought nursery clothes and only wore them since then. then my husband brought me back some clothes from uniqlo when he went to japan. then another one when uniqlo opened their first store in jakarta. long story short, i got hooked.
i was overwhelmed when i got to visit their store in ginza. it was 7 floors store with lots of collection from men, women and children. when we were there, i was still pregnant, and unfortunately, they didn't have any maternity line at that time. but considering that i had small bump despite the pregnancy age, i still could buy a pant bigger than my usual size and keep using it until now. and now, since they have opened their store in a shopping mall near my house, you can count me as frequent visitor.

i know uniqlo is not super ethical brand. i've heard rumors about them paying workers under moderate wage. so if you have concern about it, then you might want to skip the brand. if you're asking me why i like it, it's because of their styles. you can definitely see that uniqlo is about basic stuff. it has clean cut and style. their pieces are suitable for everyday use. up until lately, they don't have super trendy stuff or bright colors. if you've ever gone to japan, you'd notice that people there only wear basic color, nothing too flashy. usually white, nude, light blue, navy, black and sometimes camel. you'd spotted immediately if you wear something bright like red or orange or yellow there. that's the same with uniqlo's products. their stuff are usually only have similar color, only lately i can see brighter colors in their collaboration like darker green, orange and now even lilac.

other things that make me amazed by their products are their quality. i bought their shirt and it was different than my usual shirt. their materials are soft and comfortable to use. no problem with ironing as well. usually most of their stuff are made of cotton, but lately they've used rayon and linen too. their rayon is different as well. though it's still thin, it's more soft to the skin and feels cooler than other rayon clothes that i have. i can't say anything about their linens though.
my last OOTD was a real mix and match
1: top and shorts from uniqlo
2: top - renova top from eclaircollection, shorts from uniqlo
3: both top and shorts from uniqlo
4 the same as 2

i could go on and on about them, but i bet you must be wondering, what to buy from uniqlo? well, let's get on to that.
- heattech: when we were about to go to melbourne to visit my brother, i bought their heattech stuff. it's like heat protection underwear. at that time, there's only one option when i bought it in singapore. but in melbourne, there are the extra warm and ultra warm option. the extra warm gives 1,5 more heat protection than the regular one. while the ultra warm gives 2,5 more. you'd be surprised that it is thin but can keep you warm enough. i only had the regular one and the extra warm, and it could help me during winter in melbourne. i'm someone who can't stand in cold, so their product must be working as i wasn't freezing there.
- ultra light down: i bought this together with the heattech. i have an outerwear that's heavier than this, but it's not warmer. this outerwear though. it's puffy and super light, but it's super warm. you can even fold it and put it in a small pouch. you'd be surprised how small it can be considering that it's super puffy.
- ultra stretch denim legging: my husband bought me one of their legging in houndstooth pattern back when i was just giving birth. and it was a dream. it has stretchy waist and the whole fabric is soft and stretchy as well. then, as like other mothers, obviously it's difficult to get our pre-baby back. so, usually we couldn't fit into your previous clothes. me included. so this legging denim is a life saver. in fact, i tossed away all my jeans and just use this legging denim now. i have three of them now. one in light blue, and in dark blue and one in black.
- airism and dry-ex: this is their newer line. my husband loves their dry-ex line. he has several of their polo shirt from this line. the fabric is really thin and flimsy. to the touch it feels like polyester. my husband said that the fabric is thin and breathable. it allows all of his sweat dry in seconds. since his sweat dry instantly, his clothes doesn't get smelly as it used to be. i read in their website that it's supposed to be an active wear, but my husband wore it daily. i guess you could as well if your work allows casual wear. while their airism is newer than dry ex. dry ex was meant to be an active wear, while airism is about loungewear. i guess they release airism right on time. the tagline of airism is wicks moisture, releases heat and absorbs sweat to keep you dry and comfortable all day. and it delivers the promise. they have several products in this line, from underwear, inner wear, active wear, outer and loungewear. my husband has their airism underwear and let me tell you, i never see anything like it. the fabric is very thin and soft, i wonder if it would hold well since it's so thin. but turns out it still wearable even though my husband has used it frequently. it's more durable than i thought it would be. my husband also has the loungewear set. the shorts are similar to regular cotton shorts, but the top is really soft to the touch. my husband loves it so much that he wears it regularly.
1: hansel and grettel set from maven
2: top from uniqlo, bottom cullote pants no brand
3: both top and skirt from kaerys

i guess that should be enough. another product that i love from them is their relaco pants, especially the one that's made from rayon. if basics are not your alley, they have several quirky collaboration as well as numerous UT t-shirts. mostly it has famous characters like sanrio or snoopy and other characters as well. their sizing is not vary from among the products. i can easily buy their shirts and pants without trying them on even though it was different type. you can also download their apps so you can check your buying history. unfortunately, you can't buy their products online through the apps. you have to add their LINE account to make the purchase.
i bought a box of sheet mask, hoping that it would make me want to use sheet mask everyday like when i bought lululun mask. when i bought this, i never heard of ariul before. this was before they launched their watermelon glow line. the seven days line has seven different types of masks and each has a main ingredient as the star. i only have tried the tea tree one, so the plan doesn't work. i didn't feel motivated to use the other mask. so let's see first about this one.

this is the description from their website: are you still looking for your skin problem solutions? are you looking for an immediate effect for your skin? meet the seven days mask that will solve your daily skin struggle. are you aware of your skin problems but have not found a suitable solution? you want immediate effect with just one use? meet the 7 days mask that changes your skin condition every day and will listen to your skin concerns now.
7 kinds of essential natural ingredients. 7 natural element in each pack, that your skin needs most. it contains 7 kinds of natural ingredients tailored to each function and type considering various skin types and their needs.
next generation eco-friendly tencel fiber sheet. 100% natural nutrients extracted from eucalyptus wood provides a smoother than silk feel. it provides excellent absorbency and skin adhesion that brings the moisturizing essence that helps deliver nutrients to the skin efficiently. it effectively delivers the moisture and nutrients of the essence to the skin with excellent hygroscopicity and skin adhesion.

the packaging: the mask comes in a white pouch with a design like a newspaper at front. you can see the picture of tea tree and the name of the mask at front. at the back, there's description in korean and ingredients list in english. all other types look similar like this, including the box.
the packaging
the scent: i know that the main ingredient is tea tree, but it smells like ginseng and tea. but once you put it on your face, only a hint of tea scent that will still linger.

the product: the mask is a soft-mesh type mask that adheres well to my face. it has milky type essence. it has enough essence and only a bit left in the pouch. it has wide temples, long jaw part and long nose slit. there are slits on the outer part, which make it difficult to adjust on my face since there are too many slits. i don't know why but i don't like mask that has too many slits. other holes are okay.

the result: i use this while i was getting an acne. the mask is moisturizing alright, not too heavy. and it's a bit soothing as well. though my acne is not healed the next morning, but it helps to soothe it, make it less angry. it doesn't hurt as much as before.

for a first try, i have to say that it's not a bad experience, but not super impressive either. i would say that this mask would be suitable for all skin types, but if you're not into scented mask or skincare products, you should skip this as it has a bit scent in it. since i believe this is supposed to be used daily, the mask is not super juicy, but it's still juicier than lululun's daily mask. anyway, i'll keep using the other type first before deciding whether or not to repurchase the mask.

when i was in japan, i always buy lululun mask. they might not be the best sheet mask, but somehow it grows on me. especially their daily mask, it was better than saborino one. but lately they have released newer masks, thicker and juicier. so i bought one of each last time. i've used the regular one, so now i'm left with the richer one, the one that's supposed for mature skin.

this is the description from their website: rescue your skin a night before your special day! carefully-selected moisturizing agents condensed into thick lotion leads the skin to well-hydrated beautiful skin as well as softening the skin. largest essence content amount, 35ml per sheet. a speedy rescue for stabilizing adult skin. contains three moisturizing ingredients that keep moisture deep inside your skin. softenign lotion designed to penetrate adult skin soothes hardened skin while steadily delivering moisture to the keratin layer of your skin.
- collagen: nano-sized collagen penetrates the skin well and fills the keratin layer of your skin with thick moisture, keeping the skin in a healthy condition.
- ceramide: this beauty ingredient is derived from plant-sourced ceramide. it moisturizes the skin well and gives it a supple and smooth texture with a rich and pleasant feel.
- hyaluronic acid: we have degraded hyaluronic acid, which is one of the most effective moisturizing agents, into smaller molecules for better penetration into the keratin layer. its outstanding hydrophilic properties will condition your skin to give it a soft and moist texture.

the packaging: since this is a one night series, the design is similar to other masks in this series. the regular one has a white cloud with fluttery closed lashes and a tiara at the top, as if there's a person sleeping. while the mature one has similar design, but the cloud is gold. it has three types, red, blue, and green. for this type, it's red. at the back, there's description in japanese so i have no idea what's it about.
the packaging
the scent: it smells a bit like alcohol at first but it dissipates as time goes by. all lululun masks have subtle scent and so far i have no problem with them. but i don't know if you're sensitive to scent.

the product: the mask is a soft, mesh-like similar to minon or momopuri one. it's quite thin and flimsy without any backing so it's a bit hard to unfold it. it has clear essence, a bit too much. i can keep about a small jar from the remaining excess. the essence is a bit viscous, totally different from usual lululun's essence that's usually runny. the fit is okay, it has smaller jaw but still okay for me. however, the mouth hole is small so the essence is dripping to my mouth at first. it has those weird inner eye slits. apart from that, there's no other slit but it's still adjustable.

middle: mask on

the result: i put on the mask for about 30 minutes and after that the mask feels a bit tight but still juicy. it give hydration, lots of it. i have to say compared to other lululun mask, this is probably the most hydrating one. it left a bit sticky feeling but nothing else. i have to say, this one is comparable to usual korean or taiwanese mask.

i have to agree that this one is suitable for the name, for mature skin as it gives a punch of hydration. mature skin lost its hydration so it needs a lot of help, and using this mask regularly might help along with other skincare. anyway, i guess this is still suitable for all skin types, especially if you've used to taiwanese or korean sheet mask, you might find this one comparable among other lululun mask. anyway, lululun is now available at sociolla, but not all of them. only a few types available here and don't get me starting on the price. anyway, i guess you'd already know what i'll be saying, that i'll just wait until the pandemic is over and go to japan and buy it myself.
powder is one of the must have items in my makeup collection. living in a super hot and humid city makes my skin gets sweaty easily. that's why powder is a must to set my makeup. though the trend these days are glowy and dewy skin looks, but i still opt for a matte look. not super dewy. since i finish powder pretty quickly, i opt for drugstore powder. one of the brand that i like is essence cosmetic. when i visited singapore, i usually bought a lot of essence products that i can get. essence were not available here back then (even now, the choices are limited). so i got my essence products from singapore. last time i bought their last two all matt powders. i've finished the waterproof version of all matt powder, and now it's time to try the silky one. unfortunately, this one is being discontinued, so if you're not interested, you can skip this one.

this is the description from their website: the microfine face powder sets the makeup, smoothes and mattifies - for a natural and even complexion. the rose-colored powder suits all skin types and also ensures a healthy glow. only comes in one shade, transparent rose.

the packaging: it comes in a plastic compact. they seal the compact with plastic sealing. the name of the brand and product is printed on top and it's a see through so you can see the powder pan from the outside. since it's a see through, obviously there's no mirror. the pan is pink since it's a rosy color, and at the back there's description english, deutsch, and french as well as the ingredients list. the packaging is fragile. i broke the original version when i brought it with me to singapore, so it's not a good option to bring while you're travelling.
the compact
the color: there's only one color, transparent rose. when i swatch it heavily with my hand, the powder is definitely pink. but if you're using brush to apply it to your face, somehow it's blurring the color, so it's not as pink as you'd think it'd be. however, i'm pretty fair, so the color might not be noticeable on me, but if you have darker skin (medium to dark), you'd probably won't like it as it might look weird.
description at the back
the product: the pan is flat unlike the other two versions who have pattern on the pan. i notice that this one give less kickback compared to the other two. however, since i've been using different brush, it might interfere with the result.
how the pan looks like
the result: compared to the other two, this looks less matte, but again, i've been using other brush, so it might different because of the brush. on my skin, it doesn't look too powdery either. i can't say anything about longevity because i don't use makeup as long as i've used to. though i have to say this hold well under hot weather because i brought this with me to bali and it was okay. then again, i was staying in the villa most of the time, so probably it won't hold as long if you're more active.
can you see the pinkish color?
now that i've tried all three, i guess both the original version and the waterproof version feels similar, while this one is less matte compared to the other. if you live in hot and humid weather, i suggest you try the other two. unfortunately, this one is discontinued, so probably you can't get it now. as for me, now that it seems hard to go to singapore due to the pandemic, so i won't get any essence products for now. if you've read my wishlist, then you'd probably know that i will be trying another local brands for now.
even before the pandemic started, i've already made a commitment to try more local brands. at first, local brands seem to focus on makeup, something that i don't use often. that's why i didn't try a lot of local brand. but in a year, suddenly there are lots of new local brands popping out. and there's a lot of them that releasing skincare. some brands are already more established like votre peau, avoskin, FSS and somethinc. but there are more that i never heard before. one of them is the aubree. i was quite surprised when i saw they have quite a range of products. not only essences and creams but also serums as well. usually local brands would come up with creams or toners first, and serums later. but this one has oils and serums as well. the price is very affordable as well. obviously that makes me curious, so i bought one of their serum first. i think the centella serum is more popular, but i'm not interested, so i bought the ginseng renewing one.

this is the description from their website: serum yang membantu menjaga kelembaban kulit, menghaluskan, membantu mencerahkan, dan menjaga kekenyalan kulit.
translation: serum that helps maintaining skin's moisture, smooths and brightens, and maintains skin elasticity.
ingredients list: aqua, glycerin, propylene glycol, vitis vinifera (grapeseed) oil, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, panax ginseng root extract, polysorbate 20, phenoxyethanol, sodium hyaluronate, carbomer, triethanolamine, tocopheryl acetate, parfum.
paraben free, cruelty free, no animal testing, non toxic, no mineral oil.
the box
description and ingredients list
the packaging: it comes in a peach box with description on it. the serum itself comes in a white frosted glass bottle with dropper to dispense the product. you can see the product from outside so you can prepare to buy another one if you're running out of it. nothing special about the packaging, quite simple and clean.
another description
the bottle
the scent: this is the one that i hate about this serum. it smells like jasmine. i don't like the scent as it's quite strong, especially the moment when you put it on your face. but it doesn't last long. once it's absorbed, you can no longer smell it. but still, if you're sensitive to scent, totally skip it.
the serum inside the dropper
the product: i thought since this is a moisturizing serum and marketed as anti aging serum, i thought it would be quite viscous. but it's a runny opaque white serum, like lotion's consistency in my opinion. i use half to three quarter dropper for my whole face and sometimes neck. it spreads easily as it's quite runny. however, it leaves tacky feeling that doesn't go away even if i keep patting it. fortunately, it doesn't pill under other product that i use.
the serum on my hand
the result: i've been using half bottle and all i can say that after spreading it around you can definitely feel your skin moisturized well. unfortunately, the tacky feeling is quite annoying. it doesn't go away and if i put another moisturizer that's super rich as well, my skin feels sticky, especially on my neck. and the feeling is unpleasant. so sometimes when i use this serum, i only use sleeping mask afterward. and skipping it on my neck. especially on hot days, i don't use it on my neck. however, this is also marketed as brightening serum. i don't use any vitamin c serum during trying this serum, and i definitely don't see any brightening effect. you might say i'm already quite pale to start with. but sometimes with vitamin c or other brightening serum, i could see that it helps even my skin tone. and that doesn't happen with this serum.
after blending it
so.. i'm quite on the fence about this serum. for that price, it's very cheap and it does work in moisturizing my skin. but the tacky feeling afterward is unpleasant. not to mention the scent as well. if you're tight on budget, you might try this especially if you don't mind with the scent. but if you have the budget, i suggest you try something else. i think it might be suitable for all skin types, but the tacky afterward feeling is something you should consider especially if you have oily skin. you might not like the feeling. as for me, i won't repurchase as i have plenty of other things that i want to try. but this is a good local brand with cheap price, not to mention that it's cruelty free.
